Double Embossing Technique

Hello everyone!!! I hope you are all toasty warm this early morning....we have been in the 30's to 40's all week and I am now ready for spring...LOL!!! I can't believe it's just November and we have several more months of this...what a bummer!!!!

We have been running around like crazy the last few weeks...craft sale at the church, grandkids concerts, birthdays, birthdays, and more birthdays!!! My poor craft room has cob webs...LOL!!! Anyway....

I made a card featuring the flower image from the Taylored Expressions Wherever You Go set and the double embossing technique....you can find the tutorial here on Splitcoast.  The technique is really easy...you add your card stock to the embossing folder and then on the outside of the folder, tape  a cardboard cutout of the shape you don't want embossed.  I wanted the middle smooth in order to stamp the image so I used a cutout of a Label Stacklets 8. I had to cut 2 out of fairly heavy cardboard .....my first try didn't work because the cardboard wasn't think enough.  Run the folder through the Cuttlebug and tadaa!!!

After the image was colored, a frame was made using 2 Label Stacklets 8 dies.
The TE Harlequin Embossing Folder was used on the Buttercream Frosting card stock for the background, the flowers were colored with Copics, and the ribbon finishes it off. A tiny piece of foam tape was used to secure the ribbon.

Thanks for popping in today....stay warm and get inky!!!
