Taylored Expressions SOTM - Going Places

Hello everyone!! I wanted to share another project made with the Taylored Expressions December Stamp of the Month..... you can find all the deets on the SOTM and the Key Ingredients Kit here.  Taylor does a fabulous job of coordinating the papers and ribbons in the KI kit with the SOTM....you have everything you need to create lots of cards and projects!!

The SOTM kits also works with any papers you want to use and any theme....my card today is a Valentine for one of my Grands. The cute little bucket was colored with Copics, cutout, and popped up with foam tape. The clouds were made with the cloud dies from the SOTM coordinating dies called Enjoy the Journey. The felt heart was cutout by hand and sewing was done around the edges by hand with embroidery floss.

Sewing was done around the edges of the background papers and the sentiment from the same set was stamped on the banner. The button and hemp cording finish it off.

Christmas Cheer

Hello everyone!! I am so excited because I have finished my Christmas decorating, shopping and wrapping...Woot!!!! Now I can concentrate on baking a few things and then I will be ready for our big family Christmas Eve celebration!!! Nineteen ( two of my grands will be at their other grandmas :( ) of us will gather at our home this year..... they all have presents under the tree and goodies in their stockings!! I hope all of you have plans for the holidays, too!!!  Anyway....

I wanted to share some of the Christmas cards I made for our church craft sale...it's always such a challenge for me to create cards that will mail easily since I love to pile on the embellies!!

This card set features a Gina K. Christmas set called City of David. It was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and matted with black and pool party card stock....retired SU patterned paper was used for the background and the silver pearl and ribbon finish it off.

An old PSX stamp was used for this set and the sentiment is from a Waltzing Mouse set called Compliments of the Season.

Versafine Onyx Black was used for both the image and the sentiment, SU flocked paper was used for the background and the ribbon is the only embellishment.

The last set feature the poinsettia stamp from the Waltzing Mouse set called Poinsettia Bloom...it was stamped with real red and silver pearls were used for the center.

The Taylored Expressions Lace Chain Border die was used for the scallop, the sentiment is from the Flourishes Christmas Classics set, and the dark gray ribbon is the finishing touch.

Here is a look at some of the things we have been doing the last couple of weeks.....

My Dad's 91st birthday party.....aren't my parents cute!!!!

Cody's church program....

Practice for Cody's violin concert....

Shopping for and wrapping over 100 presents....yikes!!! Since I took this picture a few more presents have found their way under the tree....Santa sure is a busy little bee!!!!

Color throwdown Challenge #272

Hello everyone!!! It's Wednesday again and time for another Color Throwdown Challenge!!!! Broni is the hostess for our last challenge of the year.....we will be back after the holidays for more color challenge fun!!! Broni picked some beautiful colors....perfect for any theme!!!

My card features stamps from Reverse Confetti's Arrows'n Elements, Forever Fall, and Peacock Pretties stamp sets and the RC December SFYTT #7. The sentiments were all stamped on the My Minds Eye patterned paper and one corner was punched with a corner rounder punch. The arrows and heart were stamped on my last piece of Orchid Opulence card stock and embossed with clear ep. They were cutout and adhered with glue dots and then a little sewing was done over the arrows. The cording and button finish it off.

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD272 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

Taylored Expressions December Spotlight Day: Shine Bright and Max and Muffin

Hello everyone!! Today is the Taylored Expressions December Spotlight Day...this is the day the Baker's Dozen DT pick our favorite stamp sets to play with.  I have to tell you how hard that is because I just love all the new (14 total) petite sets....each one has so many super cute stamps and sentiments!!! I finally decided to use Shine Bright and Max and Muffin.

The chandelier stamp and sentiment from the Shine Bright set was stamped with going gray on the Choice Snow White card stock. A glue pen was used to add glue all over the image and then it was dusted with glitter. The image was then cutout with the Banner Stacklets 2 die along with the bashful blue mat...they were adhered to the background paper ...MME's  Cupid's Arrow 6x6 paper pad.

The scalloped layer is from the same 6x6 paper pad and the sewing, distressing, seam binding, and sequins finish it off.

My next card features the sweet little kitty pair from the Max and Muffin set....they both were colored with copics,  cut out with the Max and Muffin coordinating dies, and popped up on the Taylored Expressions Layering Doily Medium diecut.

Washi tape was added along with the sentiment flag and the little wood heart  to finish it off.

Now, how would you like to see some awesome inspiration from the Baker's Dozen designers.....trust me...you will be blown away!!!!
