Color Throwdown Challenge #369

Hello everyone!! Last week we went to the last football games for Cody (7th grade) and Jacob (kindergarten) and the last volleyball game for Caitlyn (2nd grade). This week Ryan's basketball games started with a 64 to 45 win....yay!!!! This was his first high school game (9th grade) so we were all pretty excited!!! Anyway....

It's Wednesday and time for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!! Tammy is our hostess and she has picked a warm and rich color combo: orange, dark burgundy, and light green...perfect for fall!!!

I gave a little love to one of my favorite Paper Smooches stamp sets called
Autumn Groves. The trees were stamped, cutout, and colored with Copics. The little leaves were stamped on patterned paper, cutout, and adhered with glue dots. The pumpkin was paper pieced and popped up with foam dots. The sentiment from the same set, washi tape, and twine finish it off.

Remember, be sure to add CTD369 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!! Also, please use #369 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.

We don't have snow in our forcast, which is good, but the cold is supposed to last for quite a while. My house looks like a jungle because I brought in all my tender little and big plants. I wonder how long it will take for the hubs to get the hint that I need a green house...LOL!!! Anyway....

It's time for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge and our sweet Wanda is the hostess with the mostess!!! I love the color combo she picked...thought about snowmen right away!!

My card features the adorable Snowman dies from Paper Smooches...they were put together and adhered to the October Afternoon background paper. The snow was made by tearing the white cardstock and the sentiment is from the Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes set.

Color Throwdown #299

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge!!! Isn't that a fun patriotic color combo...I would really like to have a few of those cookies right now!!! I have been dieting for the past month and doing without sugar that long has made me a grumpy grandma...maybe I should eat some goodies to protect my wonderful family!!!! Sounds like a plan to me...LOL!!!! Anyway....Tammy is our hostess this week and I love the colors she chose. Instead of a patriotic card, I made something fun and summery....

My little round card features stamps from Paper Smooches and the sentiment from Papertrey Ink. The little sail boat from the PS Wicked Nauticool set was paper pieced as was the little fish from the PS Briny Blue set. The clouds are from the Wicked Nauticool set and the Wave die is from the Cat's Pajamas. Spellbinders round and round scalloped dies were used for the card base/port hole and the dew drops finish it off.

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD299 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

My card features stamps from the adorable Paper Smooches set called Wicked Nauticool. The sail boats were colored with Copics, cutout, and popped up in the waves with pop dots. The waves were cut with a die from The Cat's Pajamas, embossed with a Dotted Swiss embossing folder and adhered to the card base. The sentiment from the same set and the twine finish it off.

Color Throwdown Challenge #276

Hello everyone!! Welcome to this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge! Barbara is our hostess this week and I though the color combo she picked this week would be perfect for my Grandson Ryan's birthday card...he will like it as long as I keep the yellow to a minimum...LOL!!!!

My card features the adorable Paper Smooches Super stamp set....the Super Hero was colored with Copics, cut out with the coordinating die called Super 1, and popped up with foam tape. The cityscape was cutout of basic gray card stock with the Paper Smooches Super 2 dies and lined with daffodil delight card stock. The sentiment from the PS Sentiment Sampler was stamped on the crumb cake card stock with basic gray ink and then the Talk Bubble was stamped over the sentiment, cutout, and popped up with foam dots. I didn't add any embellies so Ryan wouldn't think it was a girlie card...LOL!!!

This is also for the Smooches Paper Spark's Anything Goes Challenge!!

Color Throwdown Challenge #275

Hello everyone!! Welcome to this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge! Wanda is the hostess this week and I absolutely love the colors she picked...they are sooo pretty and springy!!!  I can almost smell the lavender!!!

I used one of the foliage stamps from the new Paper Smooches Botanicals 2 set with Garden Green ink to create the leaves and the flowers were punched from Almost Amethyst and Wisteria Wonder card stock. The background paper is retired Stampin Up! and the button and hemp finish it off. The sketch is the Sweet Sundsy Sketch #202

I used the sweet little gingerbread couple from Paper Smooches Giddy Gumdrops set....they were embossed with white ep on kraft card stock and the bows were stamped with gumball green. The snowflakes from Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes stamp set  were embossed with silver ep and the Christmas washi tape and silver cording finish it off.

Color Throwdown Challenge #265

Hello everyone....it's my turn to host the Color Throwdown Challenge this week!! When I saw the beautiful tree picture, I just knew we had to use these colors!!! The colors can be used for any season of the year so the sky is the limit...have fun!!!

My card features stamps from the Paper Smooches Autumn Groves set....the trees were all stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa onto white card stock. The Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar ink pads were run across the trees to mimic the inspiration picture. They were cutout and before they were adhered to the card, a wash of Not Quite Navy reinker and water was painted on the background and a frame was drawn on with a brown marker. The trees were glued on and the leaves from Paper Smooches Fanciful Fall set were popped up with foam dots and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches Sentiment SamplerCan you believe I didn't add a single embellishment...I must be sick...LOL!!!!

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD265 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

Good Monday morning everyone...I am sooo going to get some things done today!!! I have some gardening to do, clothes to wash, floors to mop, and food to cook but first I gotta play...LOL!!! Maybe if I'm really good my  Fairy Godmother will come and get the work done so I can play in the craft room....oh well, a girl can dream, can't she!!! Anyway....I did get to play last night ...aren't these chubby little snowmen just the cutest??!!??  I have had this set for a few months but never inked it up...shame on me!!! The sweet little snowmen are from Paper Smooche's Swanky Snowdudes set...they were cutout, colored with Copics, and attached with foam dots. The background paper is SEI's Glitzmas dp and snowflakes from the same set were stamped on the paper with Marina Mist. The snow was made by tearing the white cardstock, crimping it, and adding stickles to the torn edge. The sentiment banner and button with Baker's Twine finish it off.
I made this card for a few challenges:
1. Order of the Opus Gluei - something on their head

Plant Smiles

Hello everyone...Guess what!!!! We finally got a little rain last night...Whoohoo!!!! It wasn't much but we will take anything we can get!! I ran out outside and put all my plants on the deck so they could get a little drink. They were all happy and perky this morning!! That's why I pulled out my Paper Smooches Perky Plants set to play with today!!! The adorable flowers were all paper pieced with Making Memories Flower Patch paper. This is my entry for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge!! This week it is an inspiration challenge and I took my inspiration from the beautiful colors of the bracelet/necklace.
This is also for the Sunday Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast which honors Linda (morningsun47)....she has such  a fabulous gallery to explore!!! I chose her IC260 Bloom with Happiness card as my inspiration. I kept the same basic layout and colors but changed the stamps, placement of the sentiment, and used patterned paper instead of the rack rack.

Thanks for visiting today...have a great Sunday!!!
