Bake the World a Better Place!!

Hello everyone!! I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving...we fed 19 family and friends!! Then on Friday my hubs got sick...he either ate too much or he couldn't stomach my cooking...LOL!!! Since he was the only one sick on Friday, he must have caught a bug...he is back to his old sweet self today, thank goodness!! Anyway....

I was playing along with some of my left over dies and stamped images from the Taylored Expressions Release Week cards I made...I just can't throw anything away!!
It's kinda fun to spread everything out and create a design with bits and pieces.

The sentiment from the Life is a Kitchen set was stamped on a piece of patterned paper and a corner rounder punch was used on the corners. A piece of washi tape was used at the top and three strips were used at the bottom. The spatula and the rolling pin are from the Flippin Awesome stamp set and were cut out with the Flippin' Awesome dies. The rest of the images are from the Life is a Kitchen set and they were all cutout with the Life is a Kitchen dies....the enamel dots finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by...have a great day and stay warm!!!

Color Throwdown Challenge #370

Hello everyone!! Hope all is well with you!!! We had our first almost frost of the season...32 degrees for a few hours the other morning. That's enough winter for me...I'm ready for spring...LOL!! We did a little Christmas shopping this week and entertained 3 of our Grands yesterday. We will have around 18 for Thanksgiving tomorrow so I will be busy today getting the house ready and making lists...I can't function without a list!!! You should see me when I can't find my list...it's not pretty!!! Anyway...

It's Wednesday and time for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!! Vickie is our hostess and I love the color combo she picked...perfect for snowmen!!!

My card features the super cute snowman stamp from Alesa Baker...it was stamped on watercolor paper with black archival ink and embossed with clear ep. It was then watercolored with bashful blue, chocolate chip, and pumpkin pie reinkers. The chocolate chip scalloped frame was cut with the Scallop Frames die and finished off with orange sequins both from Pretty Pink Posh

Remember, be sure to add CTD370 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!! Also, please use #370 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.

Color Throwdown Challenge #369

Hello everyone!! Last week we went to the last football games for Cody (7th grade) and Jacob (kindergarten) and the last volleyball game for Caitlyn (2nd grade). This week Ryan's basketball games started with a 64 to 45 win....yay!!!! This was his first high school game (9th grade) so we were all pretty excited!!! Anyway....

It's Wednesday and time for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!! Tammy is our hostess and she has picked a warm and rich color combo: orange, dark burgundy, and light green...perfect for fall!!!

I gave a little love to one of my favorite Paper Smooches stamp sets called
Autumn Groves. The trees were stamped, cutout, and colored with Copics. The little leaves were stamped on patterned paper, cutout, and adhered with glue dots. The pumpkin was paper pieced and popped up with foam dots. The sentiment from the same set, washi tape, and twine finish it off.

Remember, be sure to add CTD369 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!! Also, please use #369 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.

Paper Pieced Outer Space Birthday Card

Hello everyone!! I wanted to share with you a fun boy's outer space birthday card I made for my littlest Grand and the paper piecing technique that was used !! I love to paper piece because it's so fun for one thing and what a great way to use up patterned paper scraps!!!

I used the Taylored Expressions Far Out stamp set for all the images and the sentiments.  The first step is to stamp the images on white cardstock...I used Sugar Cube cardstock and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Then the images were stamped on patterned paper scraps...I used the Double the Fun 6x6 paper pack from TE.

The patterned paper images were all cutout with a pair of sharp scissors and glued onto the stamped cardstock images.

The robot was cut out with Robots die and the space ship, stars, and planet were cutout by hand.

The card background was created by watercoloring on watercolor paper with a blue ink reinker and the silver "planet" was cut out of Metallic Neutrals cardstock (silver) by hand and embossed with the Snowfall Embossing Folder. The googly eyes were added along with the green face on the space ship.... the mouth on the face was hand drawn.

This was such a fun project...I think I'll make another one just for grins :) !!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Wine Bottle Tag and Gift Bag

Hello everyone!!! I have been busy making gifts for Christmas...I have friends who like a little bubbly to go along with their holiday fun so I created a wine gift tag and coordinating gift bag for their Christmas gift.

Taylored Expressions Wine a Little stamp set was used for the glasses, bottle, and the sentiments.

The glasses were stamped with blue ink, cut out by hand, and glitter was added for a little glam. The background layers were cut out with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and the banner was cut out with the Stitched Banner Stacklets.

The wine bottle tag was created with the Bottled Up die...it was used to cut the Metallic Neutrals (gold) cardstock base and the blue cardstock banner layer was cut with the Stitched Banner Stacklets die. The swirls on both the wine bottle tag and the bag were created by stamping the flourish stamp from the Wine a Little Stamp set with VersaColor vanilla ink and glitter was added. The bottle was stamped with the same ink, cut out with the Wine and Dine die, and glitter was added. The sentiment diecut was cut with the label die from the Bottled Up set and the gold sparkly dots were added as the final detail.

Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!!!!
