Happy Birthday To You, Girlfriend!!!!!

Whoohoo!!! Guess who is having a birthday party today....my friend Michelle Rodgers, owner of Stamper's Dream!!!!!! Michelle's fabulous Dream Team is having a cyber birthday party today and they invited me to come and celebrate with them!!! Be sure to check out their blogs to see the cards they made for Michelle!!!

Michelle, you are just the sweetest friend and I hope you have the best birthday evah!!!

I made this birthday card for Michelle using the adorable bunny image from Penny Black's Garden Friends set. The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. I used a gel pen to add a dot of highlight to the cheeks and the image was cutout with oval Nesties. The crocheted flower was given to my by Broni Holcombe and a Martha Stewart Punch was used for the leaves.

The pink background paper is from Stampin Up and the green paper is called Just Chillin by Making Memories from Stamper's Dream.

I did a little sewing around the background layers and the ribbon and Candy Dots finish it off.

Thanks for the invite, Tosh...I wouldn't have missed this party for the world!!!

Hugs to you Birthday Girl!!!

CAS Challenge

Good morning everyone!!! Last week was sooo busy with 3 grandchildren to run after....I am finally taking a deep breath this morning in between washing clothes, dusting, sweeping, and stamping!! Whoohoo...life is good!!

The CAS challenge on Splitcoast this morning is to use paper piecing. I used Rubbernecker's Teatime stamps and some Prism paper and Basic Grey's Wisteria scraps.

The images were all stamped on Prism Simply Smooth White and Wisteria dp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The images stamped on the dp were cutout and attached to the white images with a glue pen.

A square scalloped Nestability was used to emboss around the image like a frame.

The SU Double Rectangle punch was used along the bottom for the ribbon lacing.

It was all I could do to not to add several layers and lots of embellies but since this was a CAS challenge, I restrained myself!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Teatime
Paper: Prism Simply Smooth White, Frosted Cobalt, Herbal Garden Light, Basic Grey's Wisteria dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Nestabilities, Ribbon, Punch for ribbon lacing

Thanks for stopping by....hope you find a little time to stamp today!!!
