Christmas is in the Air!!

Good morning everyone and happy Friday!! We have been busy the last couple of days cleaning this dirty house...we pick my Sister and her DH up at the airport tomorrow. They well stay until Tuesday... hopfully we will have some warm weather for them. It just blows me away at how much junk I can collect in just a few months!! If I don't shred junk mail every day, I end up with a stack...why are they sending me all that stuff when I just get rid of it....it's a wonder we have any trees left at all!!!
Anyway...enough whining!! On to a much better subject...Christmas!! I made this bag for the
TLC Challenge on Splitcoast. Holly's challenge was  * it's a wrap* so I decorated a gift bag. The vintage Santa from Crafty Secrets was stamped with Real Red and it was layered onto a fancy Spellbinder's doily diecut. The papers and stickers were all from The Girls Paperie Tinsel and Twig collection.

I made this card yesterday for the Ways to Use It Challenge on Splitcoast....it was called *Baby it's cold outside*. What a fun challenge...it gave me a chance to use the cute little bird, sentiment, and snowflakes from Paper Smooches new winter set called Swanky Snowdudes. The birds were colored with copics and Stickles was added to the fur on the birds caps. The branch stamp  from Impress was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and the snow with Stickles, SEI paper, and ribbon finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by on this beautiful Friday morning...I hope you day is super special!!!

Ways to Use It Challenge

Hello everyone!! Boy, have I had a busy day!!! Doctor's appointments for my DH and my Mother, babysitting DGS, running to drugstore for mom, fix lunch...yikes!!! I need a nap!! But first I wanted to share this fun card with you.

The WT challenge on Splitcoast this morning was to use stars. I checked out Julia's post befor I left for the clinic so I had several hours to plan what I was going to do. I bought the Rock Star set from the Little Paper Shop last summer especially for CJ's birthday card this year. She will be 14 and totally cool so I hope this card will ROCK her socks off!!!

The guitar images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. The chipboard stars were also colored with copics and the yellow one was covered with Dazzling Diamonds. The paper by 3 Bugs in a Rug went just perfectly with the colors and was even covered stars!!

The guitars were attached with just one dimensional under the base so the long thingy...what ever it is called...is hanging free for a wild look.
Thanks for visiting today and sharing in my fun!!

Christmas Blessings

I just had to ink up this wonderful stamp set called Christmas Wishes from The Little Paper Shop. I also had a bunch of scraps sitting on the counter that I wanted to use up. The bird was stamped with Rining Hood Red and embossed with clear ep. The white oval behind the bird was stamped with the large sentiment stamp from the set with Close to Cocoa as was the Merry Christmas. Both white layers were sponged with Close to Cocoa and attached with dimensionals. I used Kiwi Kiss under the white layers but used Old Olive under the green dp layer because I had a scrap and didn't want to cut into a new sheet of KK. I also mixed the two shades with the punched out ferns. I kinda like how the different shades give a little dimension to the project!! The KK ribbon was a scrap piece just waiting to be used and the flower is a prima poinsettia. I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the scallop and Dew Drops along the edge. Stampin Up! ribbon and papers finish it off. I may have one more later today but my DH will be returning from his fishing trip and I better get this house cleaned up......it looks like I threw an all night party (stamping party, that is!!) Have a wonderful day!!
