Clearly Inspired Challenge #15

I used the newly released Goose Hugs - July Stamp of the Month set today. This is the set that comes to you free with an order of $35.00 or more at Clear Dollar Stamps. The image was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with copics. The patterned paper is my new favorite...October Afternoon's Fly a Kite. The large ric rac was cut with a diecut and sewing was done around the edges. The turquoise ric rac and button with twine finishes it off.

Clearly Inspired Challenge #14

Good morning everyone and welcome to the Clearly Inspired Challenge on Lori McCroskey's blog..... today the challenge is a Birthday theme!!

My card features the beautiful round tag from Clear Dollar Stamps Tag Blessings. It was stamped with Ruby Red and layered on Cherry-Go-Round cardstock and Basic Grey's Garden Variety dp. The same designer paper and matting was used on the background layers and sewing was dome around the edges. The fluffy flower was made with the Basic Gry dp and a scalloped Stampin Up! punch. A brad was used in the center of the flower and Cherry-Go-Round ribbon, buttons, twine, and the Martha Stewart punched ferns finish it off.

Clearly Inspired Challenge #13

Good morning everyone and welcome to the Clearly Inspired Challenge on Lori McCroskey's blog..... today the challenge is Spring Flowers!!

The dragonfly and sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps Air Flair set were stamped onto the Wisteria dp with Rich Razzleberry and Creamy Caramel . The edges were distressed and then layered onto the Cotton Candy and Wild Huckleberry card stock. I also used the Wild Huckleberry for the card base...you should see this is real life....it's sooo shimmery and iridescent!!! I love to do vintage designs because I love to add layers and embellies...the more the better!!! One of the background layers is cardboard with the top torn off to expose the corrugated layer. Spring Violet Glimmer Mist was sprayed over the top to add additional shimmer. The lace, Pretty Porcelain Ribbon, button, twine, pearl flourish and flower bouquet finish it off. I even sewed around the background layer but I don't think you can see it.

The butterfly from Clear Dollar Stamps Peace for the Journey set was stamped 3 times with Apricot Appeal on white cardstock, cutout, and layered with dimensionals. The antennas were drawn on and the sentiment from the same set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black. A Spellbinders die was used for the scalloped border and the Cotton Candy ribbon and lavender pearls added to the flower centers on the Basic Grey Kioshi paper finish it off.

Clearly Inspired Challenge #11

Good morning everyone and welcome to the Clearly Inspired Challenge on Lori McCroskey's blog..... today the challenge is a color challenge. Clear Dollar Stamps just recently started releasing their own line of papers with ribbons to match. Katie selected three of these colors for the challenge: Bee Pollen (bright yellow) Cherry Go Round (red) Lime Juice (bright green). Please use the colors you have and join in the fun!!

The flowers are from Clear Dollar Stamps Bold Bouquet set...three flowers were stamped with Summer Sun ink on white cs and three were stamped with Real Red ink onto the Cherry Go Round cardstock. They were all cutout and layered with dimensionals. The bee from Clear Dollar Stamps Circle Chit Chat was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black onto Bee Pollen cardstock and embossed with clear ep. The wings were paper pieced and the body was punched out and attached with a dimensional. The sentiment is from CDS's Birthday Celebration set. The leaves were punched out of the Lime Juice cardstock with a Martha Stewart Leaf Punch and the background layers were cutout with large scalloped Nestibilities. Bee Pollen ribbon, button with gingham ribbon and the yellow brad finish it off.

CIC #10 Sketch Challenge

Three of the images from Clear Dollar Stamps Bitty Botanicals were stamped on the Webster's Pages dp and cutout with a Blossom Nestie. A Martha Stewart Punch was used for the butterflies. The wide lace was attached over the Prism Wizard Medium cardstock that was run through the Cuttlebug with the Dotted Swiss embossing folder and then distessed with my handy dandy kitchen knife. The sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps Birthday Celebration was also stamped directly onto the dp and piercing was done around the next layer. Distressing along all the background edges finishes it off.

The image is from Clear Dollar Stamps Bitty Botanicals set. It was stamped on white cardstock with Memento Rich Cocoa and the buttons with floss were added to the flowers. The Sentiment from CDS's Birthday Celebration set was also stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa on white cardstock. The chipboard frame was colored with a brown Copic Marker and then sanded for a distressed look. The wood flourish was also colored with a Brown Copic and the gingham ribbon and the piercing finishes it off.

The butterfly from the Clear Dollar Stamps Peace for the Journey set was stamped on a piece of Basic Grey's Origins dp with black craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. It was cutout and attached with a glue dot to the white cs....tiny green rhinestones were added around the curve of the oval. The sentiment from the same set was stamped on the dp with Memento Tuxedo Black as was the flourish from CDS's Plumes and Blooms set. Ribbon and a scalloped border finish it off.

Clearly Inspired Challenge #5

Good morning everyone and welcome to the Clearly Inspired Challenge on Lori McCroskey's blog..... today we have a sketch challenge for your stamping pleasure!!!

I decided to flip the sketch so I could use my little Rosie image from the Lovin Ridley & Rosie set illustrated by Wendy Hall and licensed by Clear Dollar Stamps.

Rosie was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa, colored with Copics, and her dress was paper pieced with the plaid dp I used in the background. Sorry, but I don't know the name of the paper...it was in a package of unmarked paper pieces. The ribbon, wood flourish, flower, button, twine, and the punched leaves finish it off.

Clearly Inspired Challenge #4

Hello everyone...can you believe it's 2010!!! What better way to celebrate than to stamp!! The Clearly Inspired Challenge on Lori McCroskey's blog today is to use brads.

I used the darling bunny, log, and sentiment images from Clear Dollar Stamps December Stamp of the Month....colored them with copics and popped up the bunny image with foam tape. I used glittery, blingy flower brads from my stash and the gingham ribbon finishes it off.

Clearly Inspired Challenge #3

Good morning everyone and I hope you are all toasty warm...we got below freezing this morning and are expecting snow this afternoon....sounds like a good day to turn on the fireplace and make some cookies!!!

Before I fire up the oven I better tell you about my card for the Clearly Inspired Challenge. The challenge today is to create a Winter card.

The adorable little polar bear from Clear Dollar Stamps Just Chillin set was colored with copics, cutout, and attached over the vanilla background stamped with snowflakes from the same set. Red bling and white fun Flock were added for a little glam!! The sentiment, again from the same set, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and attached with foam tape. The button with red twine and the red gingham ribbon finish it off.

Clearly Inspired Challenge #2

Good morning everyone!! Today is the second Clearly Inspired Challenge on Lori's blog, Clearly iStamp.


Today we have a sketch challenge for you!

1. The Clearly Inspired Challenge is open to any stamps - if you have Clear Dollar Stamps, why not use them!!
2. This will be a bimonthly challenge - every other Friday but the challenge itself will only be open for 1 week.
3. This is because the winner (randon draw) and a TOP FIVE will be posted the following Friday after the challenge and will just stay up until the following Friday when the next challenge is up.
4. The challenges will vary every single time from sketches, colors, themes, products, etc.
5. There will be a prize (random draw) of a stamp set of choice to one indivividual.
6. If you upload to Splitcoast use CIC2 in the keywords so we can find you cards.


The sentiment cake image from the Clear Dollar Stamps Birthday Celebration set was stamped with Ruby Red onto white cardstock and tiny gems were attached to the dots on the image. The Make a Wish sentiment from the same set was stamped with Bravo Burgundy and both images were layered on Rose Red and Bravo Burgundy. I tried to pick out the colors in the beautiful Basic Grey Indian Summer dp. The rhinestone flourish, Spellbinders scallop, and ribbon finish it off.
