Saturday Morning Make Up!

Good morning everyone!!! I am having a real lazy day today.....still in my jammies and it's after 10:00 AM!!! I am trying to put away Christmas stuff and packing for CHA...WOOT!! I left my Christmas decorations up so we could have a Christmas celebration while my Sister and her DH were here last week but the party is over and now it's time to clean up...wish I had a good fairy who likes to clean and organize!!! Anyway.....
I have several projects that I made for SCS challenges that I didn't have time to post so here goes...
The Limited Supply Challenge yesterday was to make a small card and a treat. The polka dot paper from Three Bugs in a Rug was used to cover the tin and red polka dot ribbon was tied around the lid edge. Nesties hearts and heart brads were added to the top and the little ladybugs image from Clear Dollar Stamps Loving Ladybugs set were colored with copics and popped up on the heart. Another image from the same set was used on the 3" card...colored with copics and ribbon and a heart stick pin finish it off. BTW, the little heart stick pin was a gift from my friend, Michelle Rodgers from Stamper's Dream...thanks you sweet thang!!!

Stamps: Loving Ladybugs
Paper: White, Real Red, Three Bugs in a Rug dp called Playtime
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Scalloped Heart Nestabilities, Square Scalloped Nestabilities, Heart Stick Pin, Copics, Heart bBads, Ribbon

The Ways to Use it challenge on Thursday, January 7, was to use something new...new embellies, stamps, paper, etc. These adorable stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps Toybox Time were new from their January release. The images were colored with Copics and I drew the curvy line from the toy dog's nose around the sentiment. I also added some lace I got the other day at Hobby Lobby.

Paper: White, Pumpkin Pie, Prism Frosted Teal, My Minds Eye bloom and Grow dp, Sassafras dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Buttons, Twine, Ribbon, Lace, Clip, Nestabilities, Copics

I made this card for the Sketch Challenge on January 6th......I used a Ridley image from the adorable Lovin' Ridley and Rosie stamp set illustrated by Wendy Hall for Clear Dollar Stamps . Ridley was colored with copics and layered on the beautiful Farm Fresh patterned paper. A button with twine and ribbon finish it off. I already added a Happy Birthday sentiment and sent it off to a friend who is having a special birthday in a week or two.

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa

I made this card on Monday, January 4, for the CAS Challenge to make a Valentine and the Technique Challenge to do paper quilting. The adorable Ridley image from the Lovin' Ridley and Rosie set designed by Wendy Hall for Clear Dollar Stamps was colored with Copics and glitter was added to the wings. Can you believe I didn't even add ribbon, buttons, or brads...yikes!!!

Fun Friday!

Hello everyone and I hope you are enjoying this beautiful day!!! Can you believe Halloween is next week.....we already bought our candy which was a big mistake!!! I have eaten a whole sack by myself....yikes!!!! Somebody STOP me!!!! I will have to walk for 3 days straight to work off all those calories!!! Anyway....

I have been playing with my new Rubbernecker Snowflakes and Stardust Set #481 stamps this morning and this is what I came up with. The tree and snowflake swirls along with all the single snowflakes were stamped with Ranger Distress Embossing Ink and embossed with clear ep. Ranger Distress Inks Broken China and Pealed Paint were sponged over the embossed images and spritzed with Perfect Pearl colored Perfect Pearls and water. The tree image was cutout of the middle with an oval Nestabilities and layered with Taken With Teal. The layers were then attached over the remaining piece with dimensionals and silver pearls were attached to the snowflake centers. May Arts Ribbon and the sentiment from the same set finish it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Snowflakes and Stardust set #481
Paper: White, Taken With Teal, Old Olive
Ink: Ranger Distress Embossing Ink, Ranger Pealed Paint, Ranger Broken China
Accessories: Clear EP, Silver Pearls, Nestabilities, Spellbinders die for the sentiment, Ribbon, Dimensionals. Perfect Pearls

The Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoast today was hosted by Jeanne (Jeanne S) and her challenge to us was to make a girly girl card without patterned paper. Hey Jeanne...what's up with the no patterned paper????? Jezzzzz....In that case I'll just show a little white!!! The adorable little cowgirl from Clear Dollar Stamps Howdy Partner was colored with copics and used the colors from the Color Throwdown Challenge: Certainly Celery, Purley Ponegranate, and Taken With Teal. My copics didn't match perfectly but they were close. This is also for Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply challenge to make a square card with square corners on all the layers.

I added a dot from a gel pen on her cheeks and the twill ribbon, flower, button, and twine finish it off.

Recipe:

Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Howdy Partner
Paper: White, Purley Pomegranate, Taken With Teal
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Flower, Button, Twine, MS Border Punch

I made this card yesterday for the Ways to Use it Challenge to find ways to use patches/patchwork.

This was a fun challenge and since I couldn't find any patchwork stamps, I created a patchwork background and added faux stitching...I shoulda just pulled out the sewing machine because this took quite a while to complete!!! The JustRite Christmas Treasures image was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with copics. Flower Soft Polor White and glitter were added for a little glam. The corners with silver pearls, ribbon, and button with silver cording finish it off.

Stamps: JustRite Christmas Treasures

Happy Birthday George!!!!

Hello everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday!! I took two of my Grandkiddos to Vacation Bible School this morning and then ran home to scrub the kitchen floor and upload cards. Today is my DH's birthday so later today we will go to Roundrock and take family out to Olive Garden...yummmm!!! George shares a birthday with out DIL and our SIL has a birthday at the end of the month so we are going to celebrate them all today!! Anyway....
This is the card I made my DH....he is a fisherman and loves the water so I thought CHF's SOTM image would be perfect!! It was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. A Papertrey Ink sentiment was used at the top, Stampin Up dp, May Arts Ribbon, and brads finish it off.

This is the card I made for today's Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast. Stef picked a site called Heavenly Hostess
which is full of aprons. I remember my Mom wearing an apron when she cooked *in the olden days*..heehee
I did use the cupcake apron as inspiration but I had to change up the colors a little to accomodate the sparklie cupcake image (I think it's Papertrey Ink) that my DD gave me. She brought me some images she had stamped and glittered....thanks, Holly!! I had to add the scallop at the bottom because it reminded me of a little apron on my card.
Recipe:

Stamps: Papertrey Ink
Paper: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Vanilla, Stampin Up dp, Bella Blvd. dp,
Ink: none
Accessories: Nestabilities, Ribbon, MS Punch, Gold Brads

I made this card yesterday for the Limited Supply challenge on Splitcoast. We were to use only die cuts as the focal point and the only stamps were sentiments.
The bird dies and sentiment are both from Stampin Up. A black rhinestone flourish and the black pearls for eyes are the only embellies.... can't believe I didn't add ribbon...yikes!! This also qualifies for 4 DTGD challenges: DTGD09StamperSharon to use red, white, and black, DTGD09Becca_Stamps to use die cuts and punches, DTGD09debdeb - moved by the music, and DTGD09eggette to use wings
Recipe:

Stamps: Oval All
Paper: Real Red, The Paper Studio dp, White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red
Accessories: Black Pearls, Black Rhinestone Flourish, Stampin Up punches, Nestabilities, Stampin Up Birds and Blooms Dies, Cuttlebug, Dotted Swiss Folder

Thanks for coming to visit today....gotta run pick kids up and get ready for tonight....have a wonderful day!!!

Saturday Catch Up

Happy Saturday, everyone!!!! What a wild week we have had around here....graduations, awards parties, company, appointments....whew!!! I'm sooo glad it's Saturday!! I am still in my pj's and have been playing in the craft room all morning...whoohoo!!!
Today's Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast came from the Design Dazzle website ...I love all the room designs but the colors from the Toile Blue Nursery really caught my eye. I used Parisian Breeze Specialty papers and cut out the shapes with Nestabilities. The Clear Dollar Stamps Peony image, designed by Kim Teasdale, was stamped with Baja Breeze and the sentiment from the same set was stamped over the peony with Memento Rich Cocoa. Ribbon and pearls finish it off. Easy Peasy!!! I think I'll make more of these and stamp different sentiments over the peony...birthday, anniversary, sympathy. Great idea for a gift set!!!

Friday's Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoast was to make a one layer card with a Summer theme. I must say, this was a real challenge for me...one layer....yikes!!! After ruining 3 other attempts, this is what I ended up with...whew!!! This is also for Michelle's (sf9erfan) DDC challenge from 2 weeks ago to make a 1-2-3 design. One metal piece...the star charm, check; two different ribbons....check; and the third requirement is sponging, check!! If you would like to play along be sure to add DDC to the keywords when you upload to Splitcoast. You can see the other DDC cards here.
The Great Impressions images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White and colored with copics. The sky was sponged with Cool Caribbean and Barely Banana. The charm and ribbons finish it off.

Tuesday's Color Challenge on Splitcoast was to use Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, and Riding Hood Red. I really hate to see these colors retire and have been stocking up on cardstock!! I colored the newly released Clear Dollar Stamps Peony image, designed by Dirty Girl and CDS's DT member Kim Teasdale, with copics and added a couple of pearls to the stamens. This is also for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge to use frames so I sponged a nesties shaped frame around the flower using Riding Hood Red. The Kiwi scallops along the sides were made with a round nestie cut in half and taped to the back of the black layer.

The background paper is from Basic Grey's Lime Rickey and the pearls and ribbon finish it off.
Thanks for visiting today....I guess I better hit the shower and then pay a little attention to my African violets. I have some prooning and repotting to do before I do any more stamping!! Have a great day!!!

An Ode to American Wetlands Month and Two Catch Up Challenge Cards.

Good morning everyone!!! It's Friday and that means the weekend is just a few hours away!!! I'm going to my DD's stamp camp tomorrow morning and then to Jonestown to see my DS and his family. Today I'm going to finish planting my flower beds...hopefully I'll get that finished before it gets too hot!! It won't be long before we start the 100 degree Texas Summer weather...yikes!!! I need a Summer home in Canada!!! Anyway....
I finished my Limited Supply Challenge card late last night but was too tired to upload at midnight. The challenge was to make a project that reflects and represents any May celebration or holiday. I googled May Holidays and found a long list....I decided to pick American Wetlands Month

I used the swan image from the new Clear Dollar Stamps Nestled Love set...stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. The top wing was stamped twice and one was cutout and popped up over the image. The Basic Grey Wisteria paper was cutout around the beautiful wisteria plants and attached over the background with dimensionals...I tried to achieve a wetlands kinda look. The cardstock is from Prism and ribbon and pearls finish it off.

Stamps: Nestled Love by Clear Dollar Stamps
Paper: Prism, White, Basic Grey Wisteria dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Pearls, Dimensionals, Copics, Nestabilities

The Clear Dollar Stamp's Biggest Wishes image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. The cake was stamped twice and one was cutout and attached to the image with dimensionals. The papers are from DCWV's Sweet Stack and a row of pearls and a clip with ribbon finish it off.

Color Challenge
The Color Challenge colors this week on Splitcoast were Cameo Coral, Ballet Blue, and Garden Green.

This is the Mother's Day card I made for my DIL Laura. I just have 2 more Mother's Day cards to go!!! I wasn't to sure about the colors but as I started working with them they really grew on me!!! I used the Bold Bouquet set from Clear Dollar Stamps and added the sparkle to the flower centers. This is also for the CCEE challenge to make a Mother's Day Card, for the OCC challenge to make a Mother's Day card, and for the Double Dog Dare challenge hosted by Joanne (sleepyinseattle). Her challenge this week is to make a Mother's Day card with flowers and a little sparkle. Be sure to add DDC to the keywords line of your upload so we can see all your cards!!!

The flowers were all stamped, cutout, and attached with dimensionals. The sentiment was hand written, and three Martha Stewart Punches were used for the leaves, butterflies, and picket fence.

Recipe:
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Bold Bouquet
Paper: White, Cameo Coral, Ballet Blue, Garden Green, Stampin Up dp

It's a Rubbernecker Kinda Day!!!

Hello everyone and happy Friday!!!!!! Do you have plans for the weekend??? I hope to clean my dirty house and work a little in the flower gardens....maybe a little stamping, too!!!!

The Limited Supply challenge on Splitcoast today was a 1-2-3: 1 color of cardstock, 2 different designer papers, and 3 embellies. What a great challenge ....I loved the idea of two different dp's but I kinda had a hard time picking just 3 embellies...I guess that's why it's called a challenge!!!

The Stamp Oasis Moon Child image and sentiment were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on Prism Simply Smooth cs and the image was colored with copics. Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink was sponged around the edges of both, cutout with Nestabilities, layered with Prism Serious Black, and attached with dimensionals. The Rubbernecker Flourish and French Script backgrounds (Rubbernecker has several new background stamps...Whoohoo!!!) were stamped on the 7 Gypsies Gypsy Market dp and ribbon, black pearls, and a red prima finish it off.

The closeup shows this beautiful image...you can see the whole set of Stamp Oasis Goddess images here.

Stamps: Stamp Oasis Moon Child and Sentiment, Rubbernecker Flourishes background, Rubbernecker French Script background
Paper: Prism, 7 Gypsies Gypsy Market

This adorable Stamp Oasis Bird image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Prism Simply Smooth White cardstock, colored with copics, cutout with Nesties, and attached with dimensionals. The Rubbernecker sentiment was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Prism Simply Smooth White cardstock, Wild Wasabi was sponged around the edges, and then was punched out along with the Not Quite Navy matt layer with rectangle Marvy Scalloped punches.

The new Rubbernecker Loose Weave background stamp was used on the green piece of Basic Grey Marrakech dp using Always Artichoke. Ribbon and Candy Dots finish it off.

Lots of Goodies Today

Hello everyone!! We just got back from taking my DS and DIL out to lunch for their anniversary. Boy am I stuffed...hope I don't fall asleep before I get finished here!! It's a nice warm day here in Central Texs but the wind is blowing something fierce...wish it would blow in a little rain!!

I am still making Valentines for kids and grandkids. The Limited Supply challenge on Splitcoast today was to use one stamp and it had to be a sentiment stamp. This was perfect for a Valentine using Rubbernecker's semtiment...I just love how pretty this is!! The image was stamped with Bravo Burgundy, embossed with clear ep, cutout with Nestabilities, and attached with dimensionals.

The chipboard hearts were colored with copics and covered with glitter....gotta love that chunky stuff!! The background paper is Baroque Burgundy ( I only have 1 sheet left...yikes!!), Bravo Burgundy, and Pink pirouette. The dp is by My Minds Eye. Ribbon and the pink plastic hearts finish it off.

This is the birthday card I made for my DGS Cody who will be 6 on Feb. 19th. He loves to play ball so I thought this would be perfect with all the different types of balls. I used the retired SU set called Take Me Out to the Ball Game, stamped it with Memento Rich Cocoa onto Bashful Blue and matted with Chocolate Chip. The bat, ball, and large soccer ball were all cutout of the paper and attached with dimensionals. The smaller soccer ball is a brad. A little bit of ribbon and a clip finish it off. Hope he likes it!!

Yesterday's Ways to Use it challenge was to layer embellishments. Whoohooo, right up my alley!! I also combined the challenge with the Tosh's sketch challenge on the CCEE blog and the Doubledog Dare challenge hosted by Anne (Itsapassion). She sent us a package of goodies to use on a design including wallpaper!!

I needed a Sympathy card so I used Clear Dollar Stamps new set called Christian Sympathy. The sentiment was stamped onto Naturals White with Elegant Eggplant and cutout with nesties. The green paper and the stripe behind the sentiment are wallpaper...too cool!!!

I layered the flowers with ribbon, cording, leaves, and a gem from Anne.
Anne said that she went to a wallpaper store and they gave her several outdated books...check out the DDC gallery for the other designer's cards!!
If you would like to play along, just make a card with wallpaper and upload to Splitcoast using the key words DDC. There is no time limit so there is no pressure...only fun!!
If you don't have any wallpaper handy, you can print some off the internet, or even take a picture of your own wallpaper, print off the picture and use that ...be creative!!

Happy Birthday Cole!!!

Whoohoo!!! Look who turned 5 today...my sweet little Grandson Cole (he calls me his sweet little old grandma)!!! We will celebrate his birthday tomorrow so grandma had to get on the ball and get the card done today!!

Since Cole loves cars (and transformers) the Clear Dollar Stamps set called Cruisin' Classic was just perfect.

Also, this is for the Limited Supply challenge on Splitcoast....I haven't done a daily challenge all week (GASP!!!). We were to make a non-holiday card . No holiday stamps, no snowflakes, no holiday sentiments, and no red, green, or any shade of them. Well, phooy....I should have read the criteria closer because I did add Certainly Celery. Oh, well, hope the challenge police don't haul me away!!!

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. Silver brads were added to the grill, piercing and brads from
Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts were added to the bottom, and the edge was cut to follow the curve of the Sonburn dp. The sentiment and the sign from the same set were also stamped with Memento Black. The sign was colored with a copic and the clip with the ribbon finishes it off.
I hope Cole likes this and maybe he won't notice the ribbon...heeheehee!!!
Have a great day and I hope you enjoy your weekend!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Cruisin' Classic (5651)
Paper: Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Pacific Point, Night of Navy, More Mustard, Sonburn dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copics, Brads, Punch for Sentiment, Clip, Ribbon, Dimensionals

Limited Supply Challenge on SCS

The LSC challenge on Splitcoast today, hosted by Jeanne S., is to make a Christmas card using Christmas Critters. The only embellie allowed is ribbon...GASP!! Not sure I can function without bling!!!

This sweet little Inkadinkado reindeer was stamped with Memento Black and colored with copics. The little present in the corner from Papertrey Ink's Believe set was also stamped with Memento Black and colored with copics. It was mounted on a couple of punched flowers. I also used designer paper from Imaginisce, Ruby Red and Old Olive SU cardstock, and Riding Hood Red SU ribbon.

This little chubby penguin from Inkadinkado was stamped with black kraft and embossed with clear ep. The hat was colored with copics, layers cutout with Nesties and attached with dimensionals. I also used Fruit Cake paper by Basic Grey; Kiwi Kiss, Ruby Red, and Always Artichoke SU cardstock; and ribbon. The corners looked a little naked so I added red circles punched from the Ruby Red cs.

This is the first time to ink up these wonderful Cornish Heritage Farms stamps. Both images were stamped with Memento Black and the Cardinal was colored with copics. The layers were cutout with Nesties and both the bird and sentiment were attached with dimensionals. The paper is Dasher by Basic Grey and Blue Bayou cs from SU.
Thanks so much for stopping by....see ya tomorrow!!

Bee-Witching!

Happy Friday, Everyone! The Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoast today is kinda tricky. Wendybell gave us a whole list of rules:
1. White/Vanilla as main color
2. Second color MUST be either black, brown (any shade) or gray
3. Add a third color to accent the first two colors
4. Use ONLY ink that matches the 3 colors on the card
5. NO patterned paper or background stamps or distressing
6. Stamp only 1 image, 1 time, somewhere on the white piece of cardstock or on a punched or Nestabilities cut out piece of white or vanilla cardstock
8. Sentiment is optional
9. Any Embellishments
The sweet little stamp from Great Impressions was stamped with Memento Black ink on Whisper White and then cutout with Nestabilities. The white background was run through the Pumpkin Vine Cuttlebug folder. The only other color besides white and black is yellow
Prism Papers. The bee was colored with a yellow Copic Marker and Stickles was added to the wings. Sure hope I got everything right!!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
