Color Throwdown Challenge #281

Hello everyone and welcome to another Color Throwdown Challenge!!!! Monika is our hostess with the mostess this week and her colors and inspiration picture are simply stunning!!!! I took a pretty literal approach to the inspiration because I just love that big beautiful sunset!!!

My card features a Sweet n Sassy stamp set called The Sea. A circle cut from Eclipse Masking tape and was placed on a piece of white card stock The background was then brayered with Spiced Marmalade and Festive Berries Distress Inks. The tape was removed and the sun was sponged with So Saffron.  Then the image and sentiment were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black...the twine is the finishing touch.

The sun kinda looks like it is floating on the water but the part under the water is supposed to be the reflection....just don't look too close...LOL!!!

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD281 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

You can find out all the challenge details on the Color Throwdown Blog.

All the SnS digi images were colored with copics, cutout, and attached with dimensionals. Since my Deckled Nestie cut off the C in the sentiment, I added a big C sticker for Chocolate....sometimes ya just gotta improvise!!! Ribbon, silver cording, and a fun little cupcake brad finish it off.

I've Been Stampin Up a Storm!!!

Good Saturday Morning everyone!!! I stamped all day Friday trying to finish up some projects. I made this for the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast and the Double Dog Dare Challenge hosted by Anne (jdmommy) a few weeks ago to use a frame. You can find the DDC challenge in the challenge forum on Splitcoat.....#62 post. I colored the adorable little digi bunny named Benjamin from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps with copics and sponged around the image with Bashful Blue and Old Olive. The chipboard frame has been in a drawer for quite a while with out a name so I haven't a clue where it came from!! The paper is new from Basic Grey called Origins and the ribbon, flower, and button finish it off. Now I am only behind by one challenge...Whoohoo!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Digi from Sweet 'n Sassy
Paper: White, Garden Green, Prism Tawny Dark, Basic Grey's Origins
Ink: Bashful Blue and Old Olive
Accessories: Frame, Ribbon, Copics, Button, Flower, Dimensionals

These are a few of the Valentine gift sets that I made for my Grandkiddos. I used an adorable Demani stamp and a variety of My Minds Eye and K&Co. Valentine papers. I bought the clear plastic boxes and the stamp at the Denami booth at CHA. 10 wrapped nuggets fit in the box and I made belly bands with the same papers. The little tin holds candy hearts.

I made these Valentines today and sent them to Pat Adam...she is asking for Valentines for the kids at Children's Hospital of Michigan. There are roughly 250 kids and they would like enough for each child to have a handful. The deadline is Feb. 8th so if you are interested, check out her blog for details. I used lots of different papers, colors, stamps, stickers, ribbons, and Nesties. Now, I'm all stamped out....time for bed!! Yikes, it's after 1:00 AM.......
Thanks for visiting....have a great weekend!!!

Creative Belli Challenge #84

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Creative Belli Challenge!!! Today's challenge is to use Ribbon. I tried to be a little creative with my ribbon.....I'm kinda tired of just tying a knot or a bow.

We are very honored to have Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps as our sponsor this week...just look at this adorable digi image called One of a Kind and coordinating sentiment....tooo cute!!!
The image was colored with copics and layered on a piece of dark green Brazzill cardstock. The background paper is from Making Memories called Flower Patch. Papertrey Ink ribbon and buttons along with a Kaiser wood flourish finish it off.

This is also for a few other challenges:
Doodle Palace - Something new - new digi stamp and new ribbon and buttons
Jacksonbelle Tuesday - use buttons, bows, or brads
Promarker Challenge - all creatures great and small
Pile it On - enough of Winter colors
Be sure to visit the Creative Belli Design Team Member's blogs to read more details about their designs. You will find lots of awesome ideas!!! If you upload a card to Splitcoast or PCP, be sure to add CBC84 in the keywords section
Welcome to our two new Belli girls!!!!!

Ways to use it Challenge....Glam Up the Designer Paper!

Good morning!! I got an urgant Grandma 911 call this morning at 7:00am and shortly after that 2 year old Gabe came to visit!! Now that he is taking a nap, I can get my uploads finished!! After running, lifting, chasing, changing, and feeding....how did I do all that for three kids?? Let me tell ya...being a Grandma (Gabe calls me Mema) is the icing on the cupcake!!! Anyway.......

The Ways to Use It challenge on Splitcoast today is to glam up the designer paper.....emboss it, add glitter, stickles,
flocking, etc. I used Red Stickles and Dazzling Diamonds on the hearts of the K&Co. dp to add a little pizzazz.

The adorable Charliene Cowgirl image from Clear Dollar Stamps was stamped twice with Memento Rich Cocoa onto white shimmery paper and colored with copics. The body and barrel were cutout and attached with dimensionals over the other stamped image. The hearts and sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps's January Stamp of the Month were stamped with Rose Red onto white and Regal Rose cs...the dots stamp from the SOM was used on the white hearts.

The layers were all cutout with Nestabilities, the Pink Pirouette layer was run through the cuttlebug with the heart folder, a heart corner punch was used on the corners, and the ribbon and heart bling finish it off.

The closeup shows the sparkle on all the hearts in the background and the heart bling on her saddle and the sentiment.
This Valentine is for one of my sweet little DGD's.
Recipe: Stamps: Charliene Cowgirl from Clear Dollar Stamps
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Shimmery White, K&Co. dp
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Rose Red
Accessories: Ribbon, Hrart Bling, Punches, Nestabilities, Dimensionals, Stickles, Dazzling Diamonds, Cuttlebug

I made another WT challenge Valentine using my friend Chrissy's beautifully designed stamp set called Love Blooms from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. The images were all colored with copics, cutout, and attached with dimensionals. The sentiment is a dollar stamp from Michael's. The Nestabilities Label 1 dies were used to cut out the Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze layers and I free hand cut the Rose Romance and Ruby Red layers.
I have been hoarding the Rose Romance paper for years....I actually cut into one of the three I had left for this card...only for you, Chrissy!!!

I added Red stickles to the hearts on the background paper and on the sentiment. Ribbons were added as the finishing touch.
This Valentine is going to my DH!!
Recipe: Stamps: Love Blooms by Sweet 'n Sassy
Paper: Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Rose Romance, Ruby Red, White, My Minds Eye dp
Ink: Memento Black, Regal Rose
Accessories: Red Stickles, Ribbon, Copics, Dimensionals, Scalloped Round Punch, Nestabilities
Thanks sooo much for visiting today....I hope everyone has a fabulous day!! It is going to be in the 70's here today so I think Gabe and I will take a little walk after his nap.
