Sunday Stamping

Hello everyone....hope your Sunday was super fun!!!!!! We have had a crazy busy week with school graduations, programs, and our big family birthday party yesterday but first I want to tell you about the cards I made this afternoon. This one is for the Queen for the Day challenge on Splitcoast to honor Grace Nywening (scrappigramma2). Whoa...doesn't Grace have the most amazing gallery!!!!!!???!!!!!! It took me 2 days to find a card that I could case and still do justice to her design!!! Every card in Grace's gallery is sooo gorgeous and elegant...I am sooo in awe of her talents!!! I finally decided to case her Octagonal Framed Scripture card. I kept the same basic layout with the frame, flowers, and pierced corners but changed the colors, stamps, frame shape, and added the bird and ribbons. The sentiment stamp from Rubbernecker was stamped in Old Olive over the stamped flower image from Rubbernecker's Floral Silhouettes #467 set onto the Basic Grey dp. The frame was colored with cream acrylic paint and them sponged with Pink Pirouette, stamped with Rubbernecker's Script and Canvas background stamps, and sponged a little with Regal Rose ink. The flowers, leaves, gold cording, and the bird were all attached with glue dots and sewing was done around the background edges.

I made this card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge to honor Emily (Scoopy)...this is my first time to visit Emily's gallery and what a treat!!! She has so many awesome CAS cards to case!!! I finally decided on her Holiday Drinks card...I kept the same layout and theme but changed the color of the card base from red to white, added the red matting layer and the ribbon, and changed the stamps to Rubbernecker's Birthday Borders set for the drinks and RN's Party Time set for the sentiment.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Party Time amd Rubbernecker Birthday Borders
Paper: White, Old Olive, Real Red
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Nestabilities, Ribbon, Cuttlebug and the Dotted Swiss Folder, Copics

We went to Caitlyn's Pre-K program Friday night...those little two year olds are sooo cute..Caitlyn is the littlest one in her class.

Can ya tell we live in Texas...even the two year olds wear cowboy boots!!!

This is our son Steve, his wife Christina, and their children, Ryan and Caitlyn....they are such a sweet little family!!!

We went to Cole's kindergarten graduation Friday morning....he was sooo excited to have his dad, our son Brian, and his Grandpa George there!!

Here he is receiving his diploma......

Congrats, Cole!!!!!!

We celebrated our May/June birthday party on Saturday. We had 7 birthdays and 2 anniversarys.....it's getting kinda hard to keep them all straight!!!!! Cole got a bike from his parents...pretty cool!!

Holly made the cupcakes and Steve and Brian are getting them all lit....we had a lot of help blowing them out!!!

Fun in the Kitchen

Good morning everyone.....hope you are having a great day!! I have been working in the yard and weeding flower beds. I'm afraid my house has been terribly neglected....maybe I will do a little dusting later this morning. Don't ya just hate it when the tops of the wood furniture turn white...LOL!!! Anyway....
I sooo love my new cuppie set....Taylored Expressions Cuppie in the Kitchen. I made this card for my DH since our anniversary is in a couple of weeks. I may have to make him a cherry pie to go along with the card!! I used Taylor's Sketch Challenge #114 for the layout....the image was colored with copics and sewing was done along the background edges on the Websters Pages paper. The twill tape, buttons and twine finish it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Taylored Expressions Cuppie in the Kitchen
Paper: Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Prism Twilight Dark
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Sewing Machine, Nestabilities, Buttons, Twine, Twill Tape, Dimensionals

This is the card I made Tuesday for the Color Challenge on Splitcoast. The colors were Real Red, Bermuda Bay, and Kraft. I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch for the layout and also made this for da Mudder's Teapot Tuesday Challenge. It seemed Trish Lafish got lost last week in the storm and she really wanted to get back to school so she could graduate in a few weeks. She needed food for fuel so she could swim through all those giant waves so I provided the spices...what's a seaweed salad without a little sea salt??? The Clear Dollar Stamps Vintage Spices image was colored with copics and mounted on two different Nesties layers. The button with twine, Cherry Go Round Red Ribbon, and a scalloped border finished it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Vintage Spices
Paper: White, Bermuda Bay, Real Red
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copics, Nestabilities, Ribbon, Button, Twine, SU Border Punch

Thanks for visiting...have a wonderful Thursday!!!

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Creative Belli Challenge!!! The challenge this 2 weeks is to use flat embellies....flat ribbon (no knots or bows), flat flowers, felt, sewing, embossing....you get the idea. We also have a sketch for you to use!!!
Be sure to use something old and forgotten from your stash...the Belli Challenge is all about using your old stuff and forgotten treasures!!!
My first card used stamps from Darcie's set called Create from Stampers Dream. They were stamped on the Webster's Pages dp and sewing was done around the background layer. The flourish from the same set was stamped on the Pink Pirouette cardstock in the background, the scallops were made with MFT's Die-namics dies, and the flowers and leaf were made with Stampin Up! dies. The polka dot ribbon finishes it off.

This card is also for a few other challenges:

2. My Time to Craft Challenge - bright colors
3. The Crazy Challenge - it's a girl thing

I had so much fun with this sketch that I just had to make another card. This one used Rubbernecker Fashion Inchies and the Fashion Icon #456 set. The inchies were stamped with Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, and PTI's Perfect Match Vintage Cream. The patterned paper from Sassafras and the ribbon finished it off. Recipe:

Buttons and Lots of Bows!!

Good morning evryone....what a wonderful day!!! It's 10:00 AM here in Central Texas and I am still in my pjs!! I was going to go outside and plant some flowers but after checking out the Free 4 All challenge on Splitcoast, I just had to make a card!! I ordered some stamps from Sprinkle N Sparkle a month ago and this is the second one I have inked up. Her name is Jasmine...I paper pieced her with papers from Basic Grey's Cappella. Her skin and the flower were colored with copics. I also used the sketch from Mojo Monday week 139. The button is an old one from my mother's button box and I used silver cording for the bow.
Sponging was done with Soft Sky around the image while the paper was still in the Nesties die...I just love Art Deco and this Nesties shape was perfect for that style!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Jasmine fron Sprinkle N Sparkle
Paper: Vanilla, White, Basic Grey's Cappella
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Balck, Soft Sky
Accessories: Copics, Silver Cording, Old Button, Nestabilities, Top Note die, Foam Tape, Dimensionals, Ribbon

This is the card I made for Wednesday's Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast. I got a box full of goodies in the mail the other day so I used a few of them to make this vintage design. The paper is from Websters Pages...I sewed and distressed the edges and added the birthday sentimet tag from Clear Dollar Stamps Tag Blessings set. May Arts silk ribbon, a rhinestone flourish, and the Primas finish it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Tag Blessings
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Ruby Red, Websters Pages
Ink: Ruby Red
Accessories: May Arts Ribbonm Primas, Nestability, Sewing Machine, Rhinestone Flourish

Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge this week is all about Seth....a single sailor who needs help finding his way. You see he is facing 42,000 waves from a big storm and his ship is taking on water!! Yikes!!Larry the Lighthouse keeper and Sirius, his trusty Newfoundland dog stand ready to help Seth if he shipwrecks. We can help by sailing our ships over to Seth and throwing him some life preservers, or if you tend to get seasick, head on over to the lighthouse, and bring dry clothes (you know what it's like to walk in soggy shoes??), or food, or tea (or brandy)...you know anything Seth could use. I am late to the party cause I only have this old row boat to help but I'm on my way...hang on Seth!!!! We were also supposed to add a little encouragement for Seth so I added a sentiment from Cornish Heritage Farms Encouragement Expressions. The seaside image by Impression Obsession from Stamper's Dream was colored with copics. The sky was brayered with Ranger Distress Ink Wild Honey and the frame was made from 7 Gypsies Gypsy Market dp and oval Nestabilities. The May Arts silk ribbon finishes it off.

Recipe:

Birds, Butterflies, and Spices

Hello everyone....what a great day we are having in Central Texas!!! The sun is shining and the wind is at a minimum.....they canceled Cody's baseball game last night due to high winds and storms so I hope they can play tonight!!! Anyway...
I hopped out of bed this morning and went straight to the craft room to make this card for the color challenge on Splitcoast. The colors were Dusty Durango, So Saffron, and Rich Razzleberry...not a combo I would pick but I love how this turned out!!!
The Hero Arts Bird in a Circle image from Stampers Dream was stamped on white cardstock and colored with copics. The outside script section was sponged with So Saffron and the background Dusty Durange layer was stenciled with a piece of punched paper and Dusty Durango ink. The ribbon, pearls, twine, and punched butterflies finish it off.

The bird and one of the flowers were stamped twice, cutout, and popped up with dimensionals. I cut a slit at the side of the circle to slip the ribbon through.
Recipe:
Stamps: Hero Arts Bird in a Circle
Paper: Dusty Durango, Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, So Saffron
Accessories: Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Ribbon, Twine, Copic
