Gentle as a Butterfly
I made this card last night while watching the Bachelorette (I just love reality shows). The papers are from Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden and the stamps are from Rubbernecker's Butterflies are Free set were used to create this shabby vintage looking design. The chipboard frame was colored with a Creamy Caramel marker and Stickles was added to the edges. The butterfly was stamped on paper from the same collection, glittered up with Stickles, cutout, and adhered over the corrugated butterfly. Sewing, seam binding, pearls, and twine finish it off.
This is also for a few challenges:
1. Incy Wincy Designs - nature
2. Allsorts Challenge - things with wings
3. Fun With Shapes - everything must sparkle
4. Wags and Whiskers - stitches

TLC 326 Sentiment Underneath
It's pretty simple...just attach an image panel on the front of your card with a brad at the top only. Then stamp the sentiment under the image panel on the cardstock, patterned paper, or another panel. You can make a card or just use one piece of cardstock for your card since the sentiment is under the front panel...you really don't need an inside to the card.
You can write you message on the back or make the front movable panel large enough for the sentiment and a message.
This is a great way to conserve cardstock, use up all your scraps, and make a thinner card for mailing!!
The chandelier image from Rubbernecker's Clowns and Crowns set was embossed on Night of Navy cardstock with white ep and cutout with the Fleur De Lis Square Nestabilities. It was attached to the background panel with one brad only. The sentiment is from Rubbernecker's Butterflies are Free set. The RN Wild Garden Border was stamped with Night of Navy onto the SU dp and the seam binding, button, and twine finish it off.
Recipe: Stamps: Rubbernecker Clowns and Crowns #SKU 528, Wild Garden Corner #SKU-539-04, Butterflies are Free #SKU-538, Paper: White, Night of Navy, Stampin Up! dp, Ink: Night of Navy, Versamark
Accessories: Brad, White Embossing Powder, Fleur De Lis Nestabilities, Seam Binding, Twine, Button
Thanks for visiting...be sure to stop by Splitcoast and join us in the TLC challenge...I would love to see what you create!!!

TLC324 Colored Embossing
Hello everyone...it's my turn to host Splitcoast's Technique Lover's Challenge this week and my challenge comes to us thanks to Trish (TrishG). She made this gorgeous card with her technique called Colored Embossing!! It's pretty simple...all you have to do is use markers to color the inside of an embossing folder (the indented part)...when you run it through a Cuttlebug or other embossing machine the raised part is colored....how cool is that!!!
I used a small 2x2 folder and used Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive markers to color the indented part of the folder. Trish spritzed her's with water but I wanted to see what it looked like without the water. I did find that you will need to use a Q Tip or sponge to wipe off the ink that gets outside of the sunken part on the folder or it will ruin the design. I found that out after ruining a few practice rounds!!
The rosette was made from Basic Grey's Sugar Rush dp and the Tim Holtz rosette die. The flower and leaves were stamped on the same paper with Waltzingmouse's Sewing Box - Hugs set and layered with foam dots. Baker's twine and Candy Dots finish it off.
Thanks for visiting ...now, gather up those embossing folders and come join us in this weeks TLC challenge!!!!
Happy Mother's Day!!!

Recipe: Stamps: Waltzingmouse Asian garden, Paper: Vanilla, Really Rust, Stella Rose dp from My Minds Eye, Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Accessories: Tim Holts Rosette Die, Martha stewart Leaf Punch, Bittons, Twine, Seam Binding, Sewing Machine.
