Easter Blessings

Hello everyone!! Easter is fast approaching so I found a little time to make some little Easter cards for my Grands. I used several stamp and die sets from Taylored Expressions for these fun little 3x3 cards.

The smaller of the two Luggage Tags from the die set was used to cutout the tag and the brown matting. The adorable Easter stamps from the TE Basket-full set were all stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics.  The sentiment is from the TE Many Minis - Holidays stamp set.

The background was created with pink pirouette card stock and the TE Bracket Notecard die.... paper from the Bundle of Joy 6x6 paper pad was also cut with the Bracket Notecard die and adhered to the card base.

The Floral Eyelet Border was used on Choice Snow White card stock  and the Open Scallop Border was used on pretty in pink card stock  to create the borders in the background and....

The ribbon is the finishing touch.

Color Throwdown Challenge #285

Hello everyone!! Can you believe it's Wednesday again??? It seems like just yesterday it was Wednesday...I must be getting older because time seems to just fly by!! This weeks Color Throwdown Challenge is hosted by my sweet friend, Broni, and I looove the colors she picked!! I haven't used Sahara Sand in a long time...it's fun to get out those old loved papers and create something new!!!

My card features stamps from the Taylored Expressions Petite set called  Light Up My Life and the matching dies. The tall lamp base was stamped with Early Espresso, cutout with the matching die, and adhered to the Sahara Sand card base. The short, round lamp base was created with the die from the same set and Early Espresso cardstock. It was then embossed and adhered to the card base as well. The lamp shades were diecut from scraps of dp and popped up with foam dots.

The sentiment is from the same set and the twine and sequins finish it off.

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD285 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

You can find out all the challenge details on the Color Throwdown Blog.

Red, White, and Blue Hello!!

Hello everyone...hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far!!! I have been chilling today since I went to three soccer games yesterday!!! All three of my son's boys are in soccer and the games started this week. I remember the days both my boys were in sports....such crazy fun times!!! I'll post some pictures next week.

Anyway....my card today featured the Taylored Expressions March SOTM called Take a Spin and the matching dies called Spin It To Win It. This is such a fun set and so versatile, too.

The matching dies called Spin It To Win It are sold separately

Instead of using the diecut spinner with the arrow, I added a button to the center and used it as part of my circle design. I also added the circle sentiment from the Take a Spin set stamped with Memento Lady Bug and another circle and hand cut banners made with papers from Pebbles Americana 6x6 paper pad.

The hemp cording is the finishing detail.

The Stamp of the Month is a monthly subscription with three options. You can read all about it in the Kit Department of the Taylored Expressions Store.
