Hello everyone!! Hope you are staying warm!!!! It's a little too early to get cold....my poor little plants don't like it much...LOL!!! This weeks Color Throwdown colors should warm you up a bit...Vickie is our hostess and don't you just love this bright, happy color combo!!
My card features the sentiment from the Taylored Expressions Big Bold Birthday set and the new TE Loop-de-Loo Cutting Plate that was released last week. The blue trim pieces below the sentiment are the little cuttings from the cutting plate. I love it when I can use dies in several different ways!! The flower was cut with one of the dies from the TE Bloom Where You're Planted set and the button and twine finish it off.
Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD318 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!
You will find all the challenge details on the Color Throwdown Blog.

Wow, Joan! What a fun and happy card! I love the patterned background! Reminds me of Spring...and I'm already ready for it to be here!!
What a wonderful Birthday card Joan. Love the die and your color combo.
So pretty Joan. Love the new die-cutting plate... looks great in the background.
Cute, Joan! I love how you used the punched out pieces from the inside of the cutting plate pattern as a border at the bottom of your sentiment!
Just beautiful!
Fabulous birthday card and love the color combo. Sorry I haven't been around lately, but things have been hectic around here. You've created some fabulous projects since my last visit (really like the coffee set).
love it!! The sentiment is fabulous and love that loopy cutting template!! Wonderful Joan!! Hoping the frost is just giving up/taking up the landscape plants and you're not still canning- although I'm sure you have some yummy goodness going on at your house!!
Yes, I do love this color combo. And your card is absolutely fabulous, Joan!!
Oh, I love that bold sentiment in the variety of fonts! Great background die, too! You sound like quite the busy gal...but guess it could be worse if you were still canning - lol! Those really are chilly temps for the deep south! It was 49 degrees today on my way to work but dipping into the 20's tonight. BRRR!!
Love your colors- and the DP you used. Such cool button flower too. Brrr- winter is here too soon for me!
