Good morning everyone!!! It's Friday and the temps here in Central Texas are still in the hundreds....we broke a record yesterday for the longest stretch of 100+ degree weather. It has been above a hundred since June 30th....isn't it about time for fall??? Maybe I can hurry it along with a Halloween gift set....wishful thinking, I know...LOL!!!! We are under mandatory water rationing now so we can only water our yards two days a week and
not between 10AM and 8PM. I placed plastic pans in all the sinks to catch the water from washing our hands, rinsing off dishes, washing vegetables, fruits, brushing teeth, etc. This is the water I use to water bushes and areas in the yard that are turning a little brown. It's shocking how much water we let go down the drain!! Anyway...
I had the fun pumpkin paper sitting on my counter and started cutting the images out...then I thought I better do something with them. I always give my Grands a Halloween card so why not get started a little early! Don't gasp but I didn't do any stamping on this set....hanging head in shame!!!!
The background paper is from Bo Bunny called Boo Crew Dot amd the pumpkins, bats, and cats are from patterned paper from Little Yellow Bicycle. Seam binding, buttons, twine, and stickers from Echo Park finish them off.
One set down and 9 to go....yikes!!!!
Thanks for stopping by....have a wonderful day!!!

No hanging head in shame, these are great!!! These are so much fun, love those pumpkins and the kitty cat. They will love them. We almost broke the record but the tail of storm came across and dropped our temps into the 80's, then the sun came out and we only reached 95, no rain though, our trees and bushes are so stressed and turning brown. Back to the 100's again :( Have a great weekend.
These are such fun, Joan - you'll be kept busy making these. Can hardly imagine what it must be like to have such high temperatures for such a long time...I'd be so ill in that heat! Hope you get some cooler weather and some rain soon. CoB
Love your fab Halloween makes, Joan. Gorgeous papers and embellishments.
There you are in the sweltering heat, and here in Yorkshire we've had hardly any summer. It's depressing to think that we're heading towards fall. I hope things cool down for you soon, and that you get some desperately needed rain x
These bags are so adorable Joan!! Halloween is my fave time of year!! :) The colors are so awesome!!
These are adorable!! I might need to do something similar for my grandchildren.
So cute! Your grands are going to love them. Hope you get a break in the weather soon, it must be miserable.
Gee I wish I could send you some of the rain we've been having!
Great idea cutting out images from dp, very clever and your grandchildren will love the cards.

Gosh Joan -I would be a puddle with that many days of 100 degrees! hope you get some relief soon!
Your bag and card are just the cutest for Halloween! What fun to have them for all the grands! As well as seeing them all dressed up in their costumes!
Cute set-great to get a head start on things.
I always feel guilty when I dump water down the drain-always feel I should be using it on the ground even when we aren't dry!! Don't know where that comes from. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a nice comment-appreciated!
