My Christmas Tree

Good morning!!! Hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday!! I finally got my tree decorated...yeaaaaaa!!! I also got the rest of the living room and dining room finished...well, sorta. I still have to finish the family room and a few other odds and ends to complete but that's for another day!!

The arrrangement in the background is an old English pitcher and bowl. During the rest of the year I have a dried flower arrangement in it but at Christmas time, I add the poinsettias and other Christmas stuff. After Christmas I just take out the the Christmas stuff and I am ready for spring. That's my kind of decorating...easy peasy!!

These are a few of the ornaments...I can't stand to get rid of anything so I have ornaments on my tree that I have had for 30+ years. I even have a section ( at the botton) that houses all my DH's fishing ornaments. I know fishing and Victorian don't sound like they go together at all but, hey...what ever works, right!! Keeps peace in the family!!! You can see the green frog in the first picture.

I am off to visit friends today...have a great weekend and I will have more Christmas pictures tomorrow evening!!

Ooh, this is SO beautiful!! Your ornament collection is fabulous, some of those dolls are exquisite!! I sneak quite a few on mine too even though I am the only female in the house.
Enjoy your weekend!

Beautiful tree and decorations! I love the ecclectic look that a lifetime of collecting ornaments gives a tree. The room looks so cozy!

Joan your tree is beautiful. It's hard to get into the holiday spirit living in Texas, I'm finding out. I do have the tree up and some ornaments on it...but I want the snow (originally from WI) and the "Let it Snow" song playing...LOL Wait a minute, I moved away from WI to enjoy the beautiful Texas weather. Better get my tree finished!!

P.S. Hubby works in Temple...and he loves it there.

Joan, your house is so elegant! Love your Christmas tree and ornaments. We're holding on in Minnesota with the BLIZZARD going through. Yes, I did bake Saturday and today I made a large pot of chicken soup. So YUMMY for dinner. Keeps us warm!!!! Off to my stamping room to get cozy! Michelle :)
