Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peeks: Build a Scene-Winter Trees and Away in a Manger

Hello everyone and welcome to day one of the Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peeks!!! What??? Did I say October....where did the summer go??? We have less than three months till Christmas so aren't you glad we have lots of new Christmas stamps, dies, papers, and sequins for you to make lots of holiday cards and gifts...woot!!!! I can't wait to show you what I created but first.....

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

My card features the Build a Scene-Winter Trees dies...they were used along with the tree from the Little Bits-Tis the Season die set and the tree from the Build a Scene-Central Park set. All the trees were cut out of Sugar Cube cardstock and glittered up for a little winter wonderland glam. The background paper is from the TE Build a Scene-Christmas 6x6 paper pack and the snowflakes are from the TE Build a Scene-Christmas Sequins.

The reindeer was cut out of Sugar Cube cardstock with the Little Bits-Reindeer die, the frame was cut with the previously released Frame It Cutting Plate,  and the previously released Build a Scene-Rolling Hills dies were used to cut the *snow* out of Shimmery White cardstock....the sentiment from the preciously released Baby, It's Cold Outside stamp set is the finishing touch.

My second card features the Away in a Manger die...this is one of my favorites!! The manger scene was cut out of Oreo cardstock and set aside. Then watercoloring was done with reinkers on a large piece of watercolor paper. After it was dry, Sheer Shimmery -Frost was sprayed over the watercoloring for a little shimmer. When it was dry, a Stitched Circle Stacklet was used to cutout a round background and it was adhered to the manger scene.

The background was cutout of the watercolored piece and adhered to the Oreo background mat. Gold twine was added and the sentiment from the previously released Sing of the King set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black. The manger scene was adhered to the background with foam dots and the Build a Scene-Christmas Sequins finish it off.

I just had to use the Away in a Manger die on another project...a shaker ornament!!! This time Blue Corn cardstock was used for the manger scene. The background was cut out of Salt Water Taffy cardstock with a Stitched Circle Stacklet as was the  acetate for the front of the shaker. The Build a Scene-Christmas Sequins were used on the inside of the shaker along with snowflakes cut out of Metallic Neutrals -Silver cardsrtock with the Little Bits-Confetti Snowflakes dies. The manger scene was adhered to the acetate circle and then tiny strips of foam tape were adhered to the back of the acetate around the edges.....it was then adhered to the Salt Water Taffy background with the sequins inside.

The sentiment from the previously released A Winter View set was stamped with Versamark and embossed with silver ep. One of the Ornament Accessories dies was used for the hanger...it was cut out of Metallic Neutrals - Silver cardstock and adhered to the back side of the front acetate piece. The Metallic Twine-Silver was wrapped around the edge to cover up the foam tape and the bow was added with a glue dot.

Thanks for visiting! If you'd like to see more projects and new product information, please head over to the TE Blog for a complete list of our participating designers! Taylor is giving away lots of prizes so you could be a winner!!!
