Color Throwdown Challenge #353

Hello everyone!! Hope all is well with you and your's!!! We are actually alone...no Grands till Friday!! I have been washing sheets and buying groceries for the next wave...LOL!!! I also found time to get in the craft room...Woot!!!!  It's a good thing because today is Wednesday and time for another Color Throwdown Challenge!!! Vickie is our hostess this week and she picked some bright, sunny colors for us to play with!!! 

My card features several Taylored Expressions Dies...three different flower die sets, a sentiment die and a stamp set for the stamped sentiment. Bloomers 1 and Bloomers 2 dies were used for the flowers...they were cut out of plum colored polka dot papers  from Te's For Peep's Sake 6x6 paper pack as was the green strip along the side. The yellow flower was cut out of Doodlebug's Kraft in Color 6x6 paper pad. The leaf dies from the Bloom Where You're Planted die set were used to cut the leaves out of Peapod cardstock and the circle was cut out of paper from the TE Rainbow Brights 6x6 paper pack. 

The Happy die from the Think Happy Thoughts stamp and die combo set was used to cut the sentiment out of Plum Punch cardstock.  The sentiment is from the Goody Goody Gumballs stamp set ... only the birthday part of the sentiment was inked and stamped to create a divided sentiment. Sewing along the green strip and enamel dots finish it off.

Color Throwdown Challenge #352

Hello everyone!!! OMG...the time has just flown by this week!! It seems like all I have to do is blink and 2 days fly by...what's up with that?? The Grands have been in and out all summer...I never know from day to day how many to cook for or what sheets to wash but I am lovin every minute!!! Mackenzie and Caitlyn will be here today at lunch time and then Autumn will arrive later in the afternoon with the boyfriend to stay for a couple of days. I think we will talk Grandpa and David into a little BBQ tonight. I love it when the men cook...they tend to keep the mess outside...LOL!!!!!! Anyway...

It's Wednesday again and time for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!!! Tammy is our hostess and what fun colors she picked: mint green, lime green, light gray and dark gray!!! I never would have reached for this combo but now I will be using it often....I Loooove it!!! Thanks, Tammy!!!

My card features one of my favorite WPlus9 sets called Fanciful Feathers. The feathers were stamped with Smoky Slate, Kiwi Kiss, and Mint Melody (retired SU). The sentiments from the same set were stamped with Basic Gray and a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock was used as the mat. The sketch is the #2 Get Sketchy challenge on the WPlus9 Design blog. 

I loved the colors so much that I made another card...same stamps and colors but a different design.

Color Throwdown Challenge #351

Hello everyone!! I can sure tell that it's July in Texas because it's rather hot outside these days...thank goodness for air conditioning!!! I need to appreciate the warm weather cause one of these days I will blink my eyes and it will be winter again....after last winter I think I can wait a while for the next one...LOL!!! Anyway...

It's Wednesday again and time for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge!!! Monika is our hostess and she has picked a glitz and glam color combo: pink, purple, black monochromatic with sparkle!!! 

My card features the cute Little Bits - Bicycle die from Taylored Expressions. The bicycle was cut out of Oreo cardstock and adhered to the background that was stenciled with Memento Lilac Posies and Grape Jelly inks. The sentiment from the Taylored Expressions Bikes and Trikes stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.  The hearts and arrow were  colored with Copic Markers and TE Double the Fun - Girl Sequins were added.

 The purple zig zag diecut was created with the TE Skinny Mini Borders 2 die set...it was cut out of Jelly Donut cardstock and a zig zag piece of sticky tape was covered with glitter for a little glam!!

Color Throwdown Challenge #350

Hello everyone...it's Wednesday again and time for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge!!! Lori is our hostess and she has picked this awesome inspiration piece with such pretty colors: orange, pink, green, and black!!

My card features the super cute Popsicle Stacklets from Taylored Expressions. The popsicles were cut out of patterned papers and popped up on Sugar Cube cardstock that was spattered with orange and pink ink. The Sugar Cube cardstock was adhered to the background black and white patterned paper and sewing was done around the edges. 

Enamel dots and the sentiment created with the TE Chunky Alpha dies finish it off.
