Pinterest Inspired




Hello everyone!! Today I have a Taylored Expressions Pinterest Inspired card to show you....I found my inspiration from this gorgeous creation by the very talented Shannon White. I love how Shannon added the circle of flowers over the banner. I changed the design by adding a full circle of multicolored flowers and moved the circle directly in the middle of the banner.

The Salt Water Taffy cardstock  banner was embossed with the Taylored Expressions Leafy Vine Embossing Folder and the Bloom Where you're Planted dies were used for the flowers and leaves. Enamel dots were used for the flower centers and the sentiment is from the TE Goody Goody Gumballs stamp set. The twine and rounded corners finish it off.

You've Been On My Mind


Hello everyone!!! I just had to make another card with this week's Color Throwdown colors: blue, red, and yellow!! I love this color combo and since I was the hostess this week, I got to pick my favorite colors...Woot!!!

My anniversary was June 12, however, my hubs was on a fishing trip so guess what...I bought my own anniversary present!!! I bought the new Papertrey Ink Nostalgic Notions kit...I just love the retro look to the papers and stamps!!!

The background paper is from the paper pack and the flower stamps and dies were used for the stacked flowers. The yellow scalloped layer was created with the die and stamp from the kit....it was stamped with Versamark and embossed with white ep.

Color Throwdown Challenge #348


Hello everyone....it's Wednesday again and time for another Color Throwdown Challenge!!! It's my turn to host the challenge and I used the colors from a super cute little boy's sailboat quilt as my inspiration: blue, red, and yellow!! Feel free to use any shade of the colors and the neutrals of your choice...hope to see you in the CTD gallery!!!


The Potato Chip cardstock background was embossed with the 
Taylored Expressions Walking on Sunshine Embossing Folder and then a white craft ink pad was used to ink up the sun's rays. The sentiment from TE's Of Thee I Sing stamp set was stamped with real red ink onto a piece of Doodlebug's Patriotic Picnic patterned paper and popped up with foam dots. 


The Taylored Expressions Ride the Wave die was used to cut out the wave from the same Patriotic Picnic 6x6 paper pad as were the sails on the TE Little Bits - Sailboat die. The ship base was cut out of Cherry Pop carstock and the little heart sticker was the finishing touch.

Color Throwdown Challenge #347


Hello everyone!! We have been playing with Grands all week....swimming at the rec center, exercising on the machines...they even have a rock wall but I haven't had nerve enough to climb it yet!! We went to see Jurassic World yesterday and then to Olive Garden for supper. Today is going to be a chillin kind of day cause this old grandma is pooped...LOL!!!! Anyway.....it's Wednesday again and time for another Color Throwdwon Challenge!! Broni is our hostess and she has picked out such a pretty color combo...it's sooo fresh and fun!!! 


My card features the flower stamp and sentiment from the Taylored Expressions Discover Your Wings stamp set. They were stamped with Memento Gray Flannel on the background that was created by inking up an acrylic block with Tempting Turquoise ink and stamping it on the Sugar Cube cardstock.


 The little butterfly was cutout with the smallest butterfly die from the TE In Flight Overlays die set and the silver cording is the finishing touch.
