Taylored Expressions October Studio Challenge

Hello everyone!!! It's time for the Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge.  This is a monthly opportunity for the Taylored Expressions team to share what makes our stamping studios hum.  Each month we have a fun, crafty question or theme so we can share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more.

The theme for October is:
Never Felt Better!!
Felt is all the rage in crafting.  It's so thick and soft and gives that special warm and cozy feeling to fall and winter projects.  TE has 21 yummy colors to choose from, but do you ever just stare at all that felt and think, "Hmmmm...what should I do with it?"
Designers, show us a fun  project featuring felt.

I love working with felt...especially Taylored Expressions felt!!! It's thick, yet just right for cutting with dies...I used my Cuttlebug with the B and C plates. !!! As you can see with my projects today, I have used some pretty intricate dies and they cut the felt perfectly!! The TE felt colors I used are split pea and robin's egg

My first card features the sentiment from TE's  Big Bold Christmas set....it was stamped on patterned paper from the 'Tis the Season Project Pantry with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. It was distressed on the sides, layered on a Label Stacklet 4 die cut and popped up on a doily with foam tape. The background paper is also from the same project pantry kit and the card base is Choice Snow White.  Two Taylored Expressions die sets were used with the felt: snowflakes from Winter Wonderland Snowflakes die set and the border is from the Lace Chain Border.

Tombow's Mono-Multi Liquid Glue was used to glue all the papers and the felt....I love this glue because it works on most everything!!! I had to give it a little extra drying time with the felt but otherwise it works great!! The buttons and twine finish it off.

Since I love working with the felt so much, I just had to make another card....my Christmas card inventory is growing steadily!!! This card features the sentiment from the Big Bold Christmas set, the Color Block Cutting Plate, the Sack it to You - Santa die set, and papers and card stock from the 'Tis the Season Project Pantry kit.  The Sack it to You-Santa was cut out of the project pantry card stock and the belt buckle was embossed with gold embossing powder. The sentiment was embossed with white ep and the holly leaves were fussy cut from the split pea felt.

The ornament die from the Christmas Treat Toppers dies  was used to cutout the felt ornament and the Winter Wonderland Snowflake die was used to cut the snowflakes from the split pea felt.

The red Doodlebug Sprinkles and gold cording finish it off.

How about a little inspiration from the Baker's Dozen Design Team...check out all the different felt colors and dies they used!!!

Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!!!!
