Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peek: Day 1 - Butterfly Parade and Hey, Sweet Tea

Hello everyone and welcome to day one of  Taylored Expressions August sneak peeks...I am really excited about this release because it's my first as one of the Baker's Dozen and it has such FABULOUS new stamp sets and dies!!!! I can't wait for you to see all the new goodies....The release is Thursday at 8:00AM PST. In the meantime, we will be showing you lots of sneak peeks everyday until the release so sit back, relax, and get ready for the show!!!!

My first card features the beautiful butterfly and sentiment stamps from the Butterfly Parade set and the matching dies called Butterfly in the Sky. When I first saw this set, all I could think about was a pink and black color combo. I laid out several different colors but kept going back to pink and black...I guess it was ment to be..LOL!!!!
The three different butterflies were stamped on Pink Pirouette card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black, cutout, and adhered to the black butterflies that were cutout with the Butterfly in the Sky dies. The sentiment is from the same set and it was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. The patterned paper is from the Park Bench 6x6 paper pad by Fancy Pants and the pink wrinkled seam binding, black pearl flourishes. and the black pearls finish it off.

My next card features the adorable Hey, Sweet Tea set.....don't you just love that adorable Mason jar!!! I can't count how many times I have fixed iced tea or lemonade and served it in a Mason jar...this set brings back many happy memories of fun summer days with kids running through the sprinkler and lots of BBQ!!!!

The Mason jar from the Hey, Sweet Tea set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on white card stock, colored with Copics, and cutout with the Mason Jar Glass & Lid die. The ice cubes were stamped, covered with Crystal Effects, and dusted with glitter. Then an exacto knife was used to cut the underside of the jar rim so the straw could be inserted. The lemon was also stamped, colored with Copics, cutout, and adhered to the jar rim. The sentiment was stamped onto the Labels 4 layer, matted with black,  and then it was adhered to the doily half.....a thin piece of black card stock serves as the *table*. The corners of the background Down by the Shore dp from Fancy Pants were punched with a corner rounder and sewing was done around the edges. The twine is the finishing touch.

Now, are you ready to see more awesome sneak peeks from the Baker's Dozen design team?? Check it out!!
