TLC406 Let's Make a Snowman!!

Hello everyone....can you believe it's December already??? Christmas is only a few weeks away....yikes!!! I did get my tree up but I'm way behind with my shopping and Christmas cards. Because of this weeks Technique Challenge on Splitcoast, I  have one more Christmas card to add to my stash.....yeaaaa!!! Since I am the hostess this week I chose something fun and seasonal....we are going to *Make a Snowman*!!!

There are several ways you can make your own snowman:

1. Use graduating punches or dies to cut the three circles for the body or use cotton balls, styrofoam, fabric, or  felt
2. You can draw on the face or use buttons, punched pieces, sewing, stickers, or embroidery.
3. For the arms, you can cut them out of card stock, use a branch die, or use straw, twigs, or twine.
4. If you have a hat die, by all means use it...if not, cut the hat out of card stock, felt, fabric, cork, or use a hat stamp....use what you have!!
5. Other suggestions include: us fun foam, flower soft, brads, or glitter to embellish
6. You can just use the head if you want and add a frame for a fun look....be creative...the sky is the limit!!!

For my card I punched out three white circles...1 1/4", 1 3/8", 1 1/2 "....and 3 black circles the same sizes.
To matte the white circles, I cut the black circles almost in half, leaving 1/8th of an inch uncut. The black circle was opened up enough to see it under the white circle and then taped in place. When the three circles were taped together, the black matting looked like a shadow. An Impress snowman face stamp was colored with markers and stamped on the face circle and the hat was drawn on black card stock, cutout, and popped up with foam dots. A twig die cut was used for the arms, a brad for the hat, and buttons finish off the snowman.
The sky was created by embossing a piece of Marina Mist card stock and coloring the swirls with Stickles. My Minds Eye paper was used for the snow...the hills were cut and sewn, the sentiment is from the Verve set called Winter Mittens and the button and twine are the finishing touches.

I hope you can join us tor the TLC challenge this week...I would love to see what you create!!!! Have a wonderful stampin kinda week!!!!
