Something Springy!!

Good morning everyone...it's a cold morning here in Central Texas and we have snow and ice on the ground...yikes!!!! My son lives north of Austin and has a broken pipe...they didn't realize it till this afternoon when the pipes thawed out and they ended up with a backyard full of water!!! My DH left to go help them replace the pipes....we may have company for the weekend!! Anyway.......
I checked the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast and just had to play along...my sweet friend, Anne, picked such a great store for us to find a little inspiration. Since my yard is full of snow I couldn't help but ooooh and awwww over all the fun yard art...I picked these flowers as my inspiration. The flowers on the SEI dp are so sparkly and I love all the pretty spring colors. The Floweret image from Layers of Color Art Stamps was colored with Copics and glitter was added to the flower petals. The sentiment is from LOC's Sent With Love set. Ribbon and lace finish it off.

You can see the glitter in the closeup.
Recipe:
Stamps: Layers of Color Floweret and the sentiment from Sent With Love
Paper: Pink Pirouette, White, SEI dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: PTI Ribbon, Lace Trim, Nestabilities, Glitter, Corner Punch
Thanks for visiting....have a wonderful and warm Saturday!!!

A very happy card, Joan, you definitely got the spring-like feel in it. Think it must be those lovely colours.

Didn't realise till I started reading your blog that you even got snow in Texas, I always assumed it was a very warm climate there...I must have watched too much Dallas back in the 80's LOL. Hope you are keeping nice and warm though. CoB

Joan this weather is crazy!! I heard of 3 fatalities yesterday morning. I was so thankful that both of our places of employment closed down and we didn't have to get out and drive in that mess. We never got snow. It is so good to see the sun shinnig today! I feel so bad for your son. What a mess!

Love this springy card! Just what we need right now. I love how you positioned the seniment and floweret and the glitter. Have a blessed weekend my friend!

Stunning card, Joan! The Spring time colors are gorgeous.
PS: Wishing warm thoughts for you and your family. Hope your son's broken pipe is fixed soon and didn't cause too much damage.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about the frozen pipes! At least it was the backyard. That happened to my in-laws last winter and it was practically the whole house that got flooded! All is sorted out and good as new now. Hope it all works out okay for your son.

Adore this pretty card, Joan! So fresh and happy!

Hi Joan, I just wanted to let you know you have been inspiring me for the last few months. Love your designs and enjoy hearing about your family. You are a bright spot in my mornings. I own and operate a scrapbook retreat center in Oklahoma so your designs are shared with the ladies who visit here.
