Happy Birdday

Hello everyone...it's me again staying up till all hours of the night!!! My grandkiddos went to bed around 11:00 and I couldn't get to the craft room fast enough...LOL!!! We have been really busy the last couple of days...movies, playing games, shopping, cooking, and taking care of the horses....not much time to stamp or blog but that's ok. The kids are having fun and one of these days they won't want to go to Grandma's so we are going to play while we can!!! Anyway...I made this card a few days ago and thought I would share. The bird and sentiment from Layers of Color's Birdday Party were stamped with Really Rust...the bird was stamped on dp, cutout, and popped up with dimensionals and LOC's Brick Wall was stamped with Sage Shadow.....I just love that color!!!
The birdhouse is an acetate diecut from K&Co. and the lace, wrinkled seam binding, button, and twine finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: LOC's Birdday Party, Brick Wall
Paper: Sage Shadow, Basic Grey Joy Ride dp, K&Co. Life's a Journey dp
Ink: Really Rust, Sage Shadow
Accessories: Wrinkled Seam Binding, Lace, Twine, Button, Acetate Diecut, Top Note die
Thanks for visiting.....I will come visit you in a day or two!!

Wonderful birthday card. Love how you put the birdhouse into its own frame, I thought it was a window on a brick wall. I also like the combination of textures you used for your ribbon treatment.

Wow, Joan, this card is really nice. I love the detail you put into it. It definitely looks more like a piece of art than a greeting card! Lovely!

Sounds fun in your house Joan, nice that you are all enjoying yourselves and making memories. Love your card, especially the idea of stamping the brick wall, it's not the main focus but adds so much to the card. I'm really liking the ribbon touches you add. CoB
