Wacky Wednesday and The Creative Belli Challenge

Good morning everyone!!! It's Wednesday and you know what that means...it's time for another Rubbernecker Wacky Wednesday. Today's hostess is little old me and my challenge to you and the Red Hot Mommas is to make a Father's Day card. Easy Peasy....you can use any sketch, colors, embellies....anything goes!!! Since I need several, I made two Father's Day cards for the challenge.

This card is for our son Steve who is becoming quite the fisherman!! The Little Lovins Sammy image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. I did a little doodling around the image and the sentiment layers, sewing around the background layer, and added some stickers from my stash for the sentiment. I hope you can see the fish on the orange dp...too cute!!! The silver fish brads, clip, and ribbon finish it off.

I added some highlights to the cheeks and eyes with a white gel pen.

Recipe:
Stamps: Little Lovins Sammy
Paper: Prism Simply Smooth White, Twilight Medium, Junkitz dp, Pebbles dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Stickers, Ribbon, Clip, Nestabilities, Fish Brads, Sewing Machine

This card, which is going to my DH, uses *that inky thing* Sherry does with the Ranger Distress inks and clear embossed drink images from several Rubbernecker sets.
I ended up with more ink on me than on the card but whay fun!!! I dug around in my ribbon stash for something that would match. Even though this is going to a *man's man*...I just had to add the ribbon...I know DH will understand my obsession!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Fashion Icons #455, Fashion Icons #456, Party Time #442, Rubbernecker Happy Father's Day Sentiment
Paper: Prism Simply Smooth White, Vibrant Teal, Intense Teal
Ink: Ranger Distress Embossing Ink, Mustard Seed, Broken China, and Pine Needles
Accessories: Nestabilities, Ribbon, Clear ep, Dimensionals

Creative Belli Challenge

The Belli challenge this week is to make Father's Day cards with a great sketch...check it out on the Creative Belli Blog!!

Anne Harmon, our newest Belli Girl, sent me this image several weeks ago. In fact, I shamelessly begged her for some of these images for my Dad's Father's Day card because he used to own a gas station....how perfect!!! I used images from a retired SU set called At the Races for the flags and the oval sentiment. The sentiment in the lower right corner is from another retired SU set called Thoughts of Father (I never get rid of retired stamp sets!!!). Brads, piercing, and twill finish it off. Hope my Dad likes it!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Thoughts of Father, At the Races, Unknown gas station image
Paper: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Night of Navy, Really Rust, White, Wright Design's dp called Texas License Plates
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Twill, Brads, Nestabilities, Dimensionals

This adorable image is a newly released digi stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy called Catch of the Day...thanks Korin!!!
The image was colored with Copics and the sky was sponged with Summer Sun. A palm brad, clip with ribbon, twill tape, and Candy Dots finish it off. This card is for my DGS and DGD to give to their Dad, my DS David.

Recipe:
Stamps: Digi image from Sweet 'n Sassy, Fancy Flexable Verses
Paper: Brilliant Blue, Only Orange, Not Quite Navy, White, Pebbles Inc Fish dp, Unknown Beach and Ocean dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Candy Dots and Twill from Taylored Expressions, Nestabilities, Palm Brad, Clip, Ribbon, SU Word Window Punch

Holy smokes! You've been a stampin' storm the past few days, eh? That cute little fisherman is just the "perfect" card for your DH! He's going to love it! And yes, he will definitely understand the bitty bit of ribbon on the "inky thing technique" card! hahaa I know this, because he's probably like my DH ... "Stampers just cannot stamp without ribbon!" (while rolling the eyes ... right?!)
Fabulous cards ... I am shamefully slower this week, my dear!
