Taylored Expressions August Release Day: Smarty Pants

Hello everyone....today is the day we all have been waiting for...it's Release day at Taylored Expressions!!!! Now, all the fabulous stamp sets and dies we have been showing you all week are now available for purchase in the new products section of the Taylored Expressions Store.... WOOT!!

My card features the super cute set called Smarty Pants...the little bunny was first stamped on the background dp with Memento Tuxedo Black and then stamped off two more times. The bunny was then stamped on a piece of white scrap card stock, colored with Copics, cutout with the coordinating Smarty Pants die, and popped up on foam dots. 


A spiral punch was used for the background edge and the sentiment was stamped on the cutout Label Stacklets 3 diecut. The little light bulb was also colored with Copics, cutout, and popped up on foam dots.


The Baker's Twine and a little distressing finish it off.

Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks: Moka Grant

Hello everyone...welcome to day three of the Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks!! Today we are going to show you several super cute sports sets perfect for all the baseball, soccer, and football players you know!!!

My card features the super cute TE  Moka Grant...he looks so cute in his baseball uniform!!! He was colored with Copics, cutout and popped up over the washi tape. The sentiment is from the same set and ...



the baseball die is from the new TE Sports Balls die set. The baseball stamp was stamped off several times to mimic the home run.  I have several grandsons who would love to receive this card...I'll give it to one of them for the next special occasion.

Color Throwdown Challenge #304


Hello everyone!!! We have a very special CTD challenge this week...Tammy is the hostess and she has picked colors that are perfect for a back to school card. We are going to send our cards to our sweet Lori because she will be starting a new teaching position this fall and we wanted to wish her good luck with her new job!!!



My card features stamps from Taylored Expressions: The Pockets and Pages Journaling Notepaper, Love Teaching, and Classroon Cuties with the coordinating Back To School dies.


The TE Pockets and Pages Journaling Notepaper stamp was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink on white cardstock and the Spiral Punch was used along the edge. The Love Teaching stamp was stamped over the notebook stamp with Smoky Slate and Baker's Twine was tied around the panel. It was layered over a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock that was embossed with a large circle folder and a little clip was added. The school house image from the TE Classroom Cuties set was colored with Copics, cutout with the coordinating dies called TE Back to School, and popped up with foam tape. The letters were cutout with the TE Sweet and Simple Alpha Lower and sewing and distressing finish it off. 

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD304 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks: Little Bits Picnic Basket and In Other Words - Travel


Hello everyone!!! Welcome to Day Two of the Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks!!! Didn't you just love all the wonderful stamp sets and dies you saw yesterday!!! We have more awesome goodies to show you today.....and remember....the August release goes live Thursday, August 7 at 7:00 AM PST!!

My first project features three of the new Taylored Expressions  dies....the Little Bits Picnic Basket, the Little Bits Ants, and the new Apple Stacklets. . 



The picnic basket was cut out of Choice Kraft card stock with the TE Little Bits Picnic Basket die and brown ink was sponged around the edges. A piece of gingham dp was added to look like a napkin and the apples were cut with the smallest Apple Stacklets die. The black ants were created with the Little Bits Ant die and the Taylored Expressions previously released Grass Border was used for the grass. The clouds were created with the previously released TE Cloud Duo dies and the sun was punched with a circle punch.  The sentiment is from the new Taylored Expressions Talk Nerdy To Me stamp set and the twine and sewing are the finishing touchs. 



My second project is a travel gift set for a friend who will be traveling to Paris this month. Stamps from the new Taylored Expressions In Other Words - Travel stamp set were used along with stamps from the new TE Every Wich Way stamp set and the new TE Mini Caps Alpha Dies.


The suitcase image from the In Other words - Travel set was stamped on the Paper Journal dp which was also used for the background. The image was colored with Copics, cutout, and popped up with foam tape. The background map paper from Smarty Pants 6x6 paper pad was added and sewing was done along the side. The arrow image from the new TE Every Which Way set was stamped on the tag and colored with Copics. The Mini Caps Alpha Dies were used for the month and year and ...


the wooden pieces, corrugated cardboard, hemp cording, burlap ribbon, ticket, and envelope finish off the journal and the card.  


The bookmark was created with the previously released TE Banner Stacklets 2, the Every Which Way stamps, and the Mini Caps Alpha dies. Copics were used to color the arrow image and wrinkled seam binding finishes it off. I sure hope she likes her gift!!!

 How about a little inspiration from the Baker's Dozen DT...they have created some awesome projects for you today!!!!!!
