You will want to visit the Rubbernecker Blog for ALL of today’s participants and a list of all the prizes!! The Rubbernecker Blog has ALL the details for you!!
My card features the Ralph Fishing Old People stamp....this reminds me of my DH.... Fishing is serious business at our house...LOL!!! Ralph was colored with copics and the sentiment says "He only fishes on days that end in Y". I finished it off with Cosmo Cricket Salt air dp, a little sewing, distressing, raffia, and a fishing basket button.

Guess who won Best of Show in the Artistic Design division of the Belton Iris Show..... Whoohoo!!!! I was sooo excited...I think everyone could tell this was my first show...LOL!!! The name of my flower arrangement is Asian Artistry....the little wood oriental doll is my prop along with the matt and silk background.
These are the best of show winners for the different color divisions....
My Chinook Arch won second place in the yellow iris division and
my Obi-Wan Kenobi won second place in the varied color division....Whoohoo again!!!!
This is a close up of the Chinook Arch and
a close up of Obi Wan Kenobi. Several of the winners are taking their irises to Austin today for the big iris show....Austin is about 5 times bigger than the Belton show...yikes!!! I might work myself up to that one is a couple of years!!!

Good morning everyone....hope you are having a wonderful weekend!! I am up early getting ready for the iris show....lots of last minutes things to do!! My friend and I spect all day yesterday running around town buying fabric for the backdrop and flowers and props for the flower arrangements. Since I didn't do any stamping I thought I would share a card I made a while ago for submission to PaperCrafts Magazine that wasn't picked for publication. The fun little banner stamp is from Unity and the coral paper is from Papertrey Ink. Boy Birthday

Good morning everyone....I thought I would share another birthday card I made for my DGS Ryan...every 10 year old needs 2 birthday cards, don't they!!! I colored the little soccer players blue and red which are his team colors. The stamps are from Rubbernecker's Soccer Sentiments #470, Soccer Co-Ed #470, and the sentiment is from Flower Silhouettes #467. All the images were colored with copics, cutout, and popped up with foam dots. Clouds were sponges on the white background layer with Bashful Blue and the paper is from SEI's I'm an Athlete.
Soccer ribbon, a soccer ball brad, and the grass die from MFT's finishes it off. This was just too much fun to make...hope he likes it...he may like the money inside better...LOL!!!

These are a couple of the hybrid Iris in my garden that I will be entering in the Iris show on Saturday...I'm hoping they don't fall apart before Saturday morning!!! This is the first time I have entered so I don't expect to win...some of the gardners have been doing this for 20 years or more!!! I'll upload pictures of the winners on Sunday's post.

Thanks for visiting...have a great day!!!

Gotta Love Pink!!

Good morning everyone!!! Today is a super special day in our family.....it's my mother's 91st birthday!! She wants to go to the library this morning and then we are taking Mom and Dad out for lunch. I sure hope I look as good as she does when I'm that age...she's one amazing lady!!! Anyway....I did a little stamping last night...the first card is an anniversary card for my son and his wife. The card is actually from a swap I went to last year...I left the sentiment layer blank so it would be ready for any occasion. I added the sewing at the top, the crocheted flower, and the seam binding along with the Verve sentiment from the Anniversary Birds set.
I had a piece of cupcake patterned paper from College Press sitting on my work table and I thought this sweet cupcake image from Impression Obsession would go perfectly...it was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with copics. Sewing was done around the background layers and lace, ribbon, wired twine, button, and pearls are the finishing touches.

Thanks for stopping by....hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Flower Girl

Good morning everyone!! I am sooo excited because we finally got all out tax stuff to the CPA yesterday....Whoohoo!!! I stayed up till 2:00 AM but finally got everything together...now I can stamp till my little fingers give out...LOL!! I bought this adorable Pergamano stamp set called Flower Girls from my friend Jerri Kay's Touch of Grace store a couple of weeks ago and finally got it inked up. It wasn't till I uploaded the card that I noticed I forgot to add the rhinestones to the flowers....drat!!!!
The image was colored with copics and I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #185 for the layout. The sentiment is from So Sweet by There She Goes and sewing, seam binding, and the handmade felt flower finish it off.

This is also for a few other challenges:

2. The Rubber Cafe - Spring flowers

3. Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT - hand made flowers (I made a felt flower)

4. Secret Crafter - butterflies (I have tiny butterflies on the image)

Girly vs. Masculine

Good morning everyone.....hope you are doing well on this beautiful Sunday morning and you are doing lots of fun things this weekend!!! We went to a movie Friday night...we saw the Lincoln Lawyer and it was pretty good...of course, anything with Matthew McConaughey in it is wonderful!!!! Last night we met my DD Holly and her DH John at my parents and hung out for a while. It's always fun to catch up on all the family news!! Anyway...I did get in the craft room for a little while to play with some new goodies!!
I used a new Unity Itty Bitty stamp called Love for this card...it was stamped with Rich Cocoa, colored with copics, and the image was sponged while it was still in the Nestabilities. Sewing was done around the background borders and lace, gold cording, a rolled felt flower, Candy Dot center, and plastic flowers and leaf from Prima finish it off.

Recipe: Stamps: Unity Itty Bitty called Love, Paper: White, Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown, Memory Box dp called Brioche, Accessories: Felt, Rolled Flower Die from MFT, Candy Dot, Gold Cording, Prima flowers and Leaves, Lace, Nestabilities, Sewing Machine, Copics

This is for the following challenges:

1. Wee Memories: favorite color combo (red, blue, brown)

2. Drunken Stampers - sponging

3. Pattie's Creations Design Challenge - flowers or flowers and pearls

4. Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge - use dies or punches and ribbon/lace

I made this card yesterday for the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast. The hostess was my sweet friend Anne (Itsapassion) and she picked an awesome site called Outer Bankes Trading Group...it was full of beachy and nautical goodies to draw inspiration from.

I have lots of men in my family and almost no masculine cards in my stash...you should here the whines when I give them a card with ribbons and lace...LOL!!! Anyway, I hope to fix that little problem by using the Yacht Club papers from Webster's Pages...I love the nautical theme!! The challenge site was the perfect place to find some *guy* inspiration...thanks, Anne!! I chose this pillow for my inspiration and used Unity's Celebrate set that coordinates with the Webster's Pages paper. The striped sailboat is the stamped image....it was colored with copics and popped up with dimensionals. The celebrate sentiment was stamped on the dp and sewing and distressing were done around the edges. Twine and a wooden botton finish it off.

Recipe: Stamps: Unity Celebrate Paper: Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip, Webster's Pages Yacht Club dp Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa Accessories: Sewing Machine, Button, Twine

Home Tweet Home

Hello everyone....I finally got my card made for today's Free 4 All challenge on Splitcoast...Jeanne wanted us to make a card or project that was someone's home....the home could belong to a bird, person, dog, etc.

I used the Woodware set called Birdsong...stamped the cage with Tangerine Tango three times onto the Memory Box dp called Brioche. One of the cages was cutout and popped up and then the top from the third one was cutout and popped up. The birds were stamped on a scrap of Daisy D's dp, cutout and popped up on the branch and birdcage. The seam binding, button, and twine finish it off. This is also for the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger using the picture above as inspiration. I used the colors and wrinkled effect as my inspiration...tooo fun!!!

Splitcoast's TLC Challenge

Hello everyone!! It's my turn to host the TLC challenge on Splitcoast and thanks to my sweet friend, Denise (peanutbee), we have a great one!! I saw this GORGEOUS card on her blog and just knew we had to do this technique for the TLC!! I am going to call it *Follow the Edge*. All you have to do is trim the front side of the card along the edge of your image so you can see the inside. I free hand cut my layers but you can trace the background layers from the first one you cut. The scallops I added on the inside show when the card is closed.....too cool!! I bought the adorable Morehead stamp set called Joy for You from Jerri Kay's Store called Touch of Grace. It was colored with copics and paper pieced with papers from Basic Grey's Lime Rickey and American Crafts dp. The balloon sticker with the 4 is from American Crafts...this is for my DGD, Caitlyn, for her 4th birthday. The sentiment was stamped on the Lime Rickey paper with PTI's Birthday Basics set. I had to hand write some of the letters to create Caitlyn's name. The balloons and the banner are from the same set and and the scallops finish it off. Recipe: Stamps: Morhead Stamp set called Joy for You Paper: White, Lime Rickey dp, American Crafts dp Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Twine, EK Success Scallop Border Punch, American Crafts Sticker, Copics

Grungy Newspaper Creation

Good morning everyone!! Hope all is well in your world....I have to go to work today so this will be short and sweet!! I made this card yesterday for the TLC317 challenge on Splitcoast to use newspaper on a card or project. Since I don't take the paper, I went to my parents to raid their paper stash.
The leaf stamp from Studio 490's Ticket to Art set was stamped on newspaper with Old Olive and sponged with Vintage Photo Distress ink. Several round scalloped pieces were punched from the newspaper, sponged with Vintage Photo, crumpled up, and layered together with a brad to form the flower. The sentiment was cutout of the newspaper and the bird is a wood piece from KaiserCraft. The birdcage stamp is called Sweet ZZZ's from Unity...it was paper pieced with 7 Gypsies Gypsy Market dp and sewing around the background paper finishes it off.

I really like the look of the newsprint and think next time I will stamp silhouettes on newsprint...I just have to find something in the newspaper except articles about war, death, or crimes!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Unity, Studio 490
Paper: Old Olive, Kraft, 7 Gypsies dp, Newspaper
Ink: Old Olive, Vintage Photo
Accessories: Brad, Wood Bird, Sewing Machine

Thanks for stopping by....hope you have a wonderful day!!!!
