Monday Morning Catch Up Day

Hello everyone...hope you have recovered from your week of eating and shopping!!! I hope to get my Christmas boxes out of the storage shed today and begin all the Christmas decorating. I seem to add a box a year so hopefully I can find a place for everything!!!
I thought I would upload a few Rubbernecker projects that I finished last week for Splitcoast challenges but didn' t have the time to upload here.
The Dirty Dozen/Dirty Dozen Alumni challenge this month was "Hanging Out The Holidays With Ornaments". We were to create a project for any holiday as long as it could hang from something or have a loop or ribbon to hang it. I used the Rubbernecker Snowflake...stamped it on Eskimo Kisses dp with Versamark 3 times and embossed with Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder. The 3 snowflakes were cutout, attached at the pointed parts with glue, added the Prima pearl embellishemnts from Stamper's Dream, punched holes in the top pointy things, and added the ribbon.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Snowflake
Paper: Eskimo Kisses,
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Pearls, Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder, Ribbon

I made these Christmas cards for the Limited Supply Challenge last Friday.
We were to make more than one card with different layouts using the same main image and color scheme.
I was able to use up some scraps that were sitting on my work table since the last project I made. The Christmas tree images from Rubbernecker's Snowflakes and Stardust set were stamped with Riding Hood Red, Pretty in Pink, and Wild Wasabi. Pearls, ribbons from my scrap basket, and different Nesties layers finish them off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Snowflakes and Stardust
Paper: Pretty in Pink, White, Prism Iced Mint, SEI Chocolate Mint
Ink: Wils Wasabi, Pretty in Pink, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Pearls, Ribbons, Nestabilities, Dimensionals

Joanne (sleepyinseattle) was the hostess for the DDC challenge last Tuesday and she challenged us to make a wreath out of anything other than a wreath stamp and extra points were added if we use flowers. I dug out my SU flower punches and Tuesday's Color Challenge colors of Bermuda Bay, Pretty in Pink, and Old Olive and went to town!!! The 5 colored flowers are from the Rubbernecker Spring Inchies set and the Rubbernecker Flourish Inchies images were used in the background under the flowers. The sentiment is from Rubbernecker's Wildflower set #465. Ribbon, silver cording, and silver pearls finished it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Flourish Inchies, Spring Inchies, and Wildflower set #465
Paper: White, Bermuda Bay, Pretty in Pink, SU dp,
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Old Olive
Accessories: Silver Pearls, Silver Cording, Bermuda Bay Ribbon, SU Flower Punches

Thanks so much for stopping by today...hope you have a great day!!!

Taylored Expressions Black Friday Blog Hop

Hello everyone...I am super excited today because I was asked my Taylor to participate in her Black Friday Blog Hop today...Whoohoo!!!

Her challenge to us was to decorate her Perfect Package to hold a set of cards or use it to wrap a holiday gift you’ll be giving this season!

I used the darling images from Taylored Expressions Wings of Joy set to decorate the Perfect Package and the cards. The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics.

The tree on the Perfect Package was cutout and attached with foam tape. The birds and ornaments were all stamped twice, colored, cutout, and popped up. Taylor's Tiny Twinkles were added for a little glam. Glitter was added to the large birds hat and the Tiny Twinkles were added to the snowflake. The paper is SEI's Chocolate Mint and the Wild Wasabi ribbon, buttons, Spellbinder's scalloped border and the silver cording finish it off.

I made four cards to add to the box...this is going to a very special person as a thank you for bring sooo wonderful to me and my family!!

The stockings on this card were popped up and Taylors Tiny Twinkles were added to the centers.

The sentiment was stamped on the Spellbinder's die shape and the Wild Wasabi ribbon and Spellbinder's scallop border finish it off.

I used the same colors, papers, and embellies on all the cards but tried to come up with different designs.

The last three cards use more of the SEI Chocolate Mint patterned paper...this is my new favorite paper (sorry Eskimo Kisses!!)!!!

Large red rhinestones were used on the holly berries and Tiny Twinkles on the sentiment die.

White Flower Soft was added to the bird house and May Arts silk ribbon was added to the bottom two cards.

In honor of Black Friday and Cyber Monday (the two biggest shopping days of the year!), Taylored Expressions is offering 15% off everything in the store! How cool is that!!!

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Creative Belli Challenge!!! Today's challenge is to use chipboard.
We are being sponsored this week by Stretch N' Bubbles digi images blog!!!! It's a wonderful site full of fun digi images and she even has some free ones...Whoohoo!!!

I used the adorable Jillyann and Kit image from Stretch N' Bubbles...colored it with Copics and cute it out with oval Nestabilities.

My chipboard branch from Stampin Up! was colored with a copic and the chipboard flowers were covered with Cosmo Crticket's Nutmeg dp. The Candy Dots were added for the center. I also used this paper for the bottom Nesties oval scalloped layer and the background. The lace and button with brown twine finish it off.

Be sure to visit the Creative Belli Design Team Member's blogs to read more details about their designs. You will find lots of awesome ideas!!! If you upload a card to Splitcoast or PCP, be sure to add CBC79 in the keywords section.

Christmas Cards

Hello everyone...I have been MIA all weekend taking care of Grandkiddos...our new little DGS was admitted to the hospital on his 1 week birthday so we have been taking care of his brothers. Jacob was discharged today much better but his poor parents, grandparents , and great grandparents are a wreck!!! It's sooo heartbreaking to see a tiny baby sick and suffering but all is better now so we can all get back to normal.
I made these cards last week but didn't have time to upload them. This wonderful winter scene is an Inkadinkado stamp from Stamper's Dream. It was stamped with Chocolate Chip and highlighted with Handsome Hunter onto Kraft cs and the frame was created with Nesties dies with Handsome Hunter cs. The background paper is Basic Grey's Wassail and the distressing, Prima Poinsettias, and punched ferns finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Inkadinkado, Sentiment from Snow Swirled
Paper: Kraft, Ruby red,Handsome Hunter, Basic Grey's Wassail dp
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Hunter Green
Accessories: Nestabilities, Prima Poinsettias, Martha Stewart Fern Punch, Gold Pearls, Dimensionals

I am going to the Austin Area Christmas Swap on Dec. 5th and I have been trying to come up with a swap card. This one was my second card...I'm not going to use this one because I didn't have enough of the dp so it will go into my Christmas card box ...a great flat card for mailing. I will bring home around 40 cards from the swap so I won't have to make too many more...Whoohoo!!!
The tree image from the Snow Swirled set was stamped with Handsome Hunter and a few gold balls were added to the snowflakes. Pretty simple but easy to mass produce.
Recipe:
Stamps: Snow Swirled
Paper: Ruby Red, Vanilla, The Paper Studio dp
Ink: Handsome Hunter
Accessories: Nestabilities, Ribbon, Gold Pearls, SU borser Punch, Cuttlebug and Christmas Ornaments Embossing Folder

Stamp TV's First Customer Blog Hop

Hello everyone and happy Saturday!!!! We will be going to my DGS's flag football game this morning but I wanted to get my post up first....we stampers have our priorities, ya know...LOL!!!
This is my card for Gina K's Stamp TV November Customer Blog Hop Challenge. We will be playing along via Mr. Linky on Gina's Blog.
We were to make a card with either the StampTV Holiday Cheer kit or one of the new November release stamp sets. I used Melanie Muenchinger's Festive Frame set and the dove is from Rupa Shevde's The Magic of Christmas.
The frame image was stamped on the SEI WinterSong dp with Riding Hood Red. The poinsettias in the corners were stamped 3 times on Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding dp, cutout, and layered together with dimensionals. Pearls were added to the centers and Art Institute's Gala Glitz Red was added to the leaves. The center of the frame was cutout and another piece of the Wintersong dp was attached to the back so the trees and glittery snow showed through the opening. The dove from The Magic of Christmas set was stamped on white cs with Riding Hood Red and covered with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The sentiment from Festive Frames was stamped onto a scrap piece of the glittery Wintersong dp with Riding Hood Red, punched out, and attached to the frame with dimensionals. The background red layer is the same paper as the poinsettias and the card base is Soft Sly.
Thanks for stopping by today....now head on over to Gina's Blog and check out all the challenge cards on Mr. Linky!!

I stamped the Red Lead Paperworks image with Chocolate chip onto vanilla cs and colored it with a combo of copics, chalk, and markers. My DD Holly was asked to be on the Cornish Heritage Farms Design Team...Whoohoo!!! I am sooo excited and happy for her...they are lucky to have her, I tell ya!!!!
We spent the weekend babysitting for 4 grandkiddos so this grandma didn't get any stamping done until yesterday evening. I did get a card made for the Features Stamper challenge on Splitcoast since the featured stamper was Dawn (TreasureOiler), one of my Dirty Dozen friend!!! Dawn's gallery is sooo fabulous...sooo many beautiful cards to choose from!!! I finally chose the Merry Christmas TESC88 card to case. Creative Belli Challenge, Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday , and DDC

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Creative Belli Challenge!!!
This week's challenge is to use Christmas embellies on your projects.
We are soooo fortunate to be sponsored again this week by Creative Cuts and More!!!

I used their adorable Christmas Sleigh die cut in a beautiful navy blue called Huckleberry Pie. I drew the center section on the side, colored it in with Milled Lavender Ranger Distress Crackle Paint, and drew around the edges with a gold Zig pen. After the paint dried and had that cool cracked look, the foliage image from Peaceful Wishes was stamped on the painted area with Old Olive. The Kaiser Wood Flourish from Stamper's Dream was colored with an Old Olive color wash and the bling was added over the berries. Ribbon and Taylor's Tiny Twinkles bling finish it off.
Be sure to visit the Creative Belli Design Team Member's blogs to read more details about their designs. You will find lots of awesome ideas!!! If you upload a card to Splitcoast or PCP, be sure to add CBC78 in the keywords section.

He was sooo sad and lonely....all tattered, torn, and really hungry!! I am on my way to Detroit (gotta make a detour to Michigan to pick up Charlene aka Bertie) with Florence Bear to the rescue....she has a bowl of da Mudder's chicken soup which will cure almost anything. Charlene is also hosting the DDC challenge this week...her challenge to us is to join in Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge. Soooo, gather all your bears, food, clothes, and sewing kits and join us in helping little Dusty Bear!! Be sure to add DDC to the keywords section of you upload so we can find you cards!!

Festive Frame Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the Festive Frame Blog Hop!!!! Melanie Muenchinger illustrated this FABULOUS stamp set for Gina K. Designs and asked little ol me to join in the hop tonight...WOOOOT!!!

When I first saw the Festive Frame set I was blown away by how elegant it was.... I knew right away that I wanted to emboss gold on vanilla with a touch of pink. The frame was stamped with Versamark, embossed with Egyptian Gold ep, and watercolored with a pink Tombow marker. The poinsettias in both corners were stamped three times, embossed, watercolored with the pink Tombow marker , cutout, and attached with dimensionals.

Pink rhinestones were added to the poinsettia centers.
The sentiment and swirl from the same set were stamped with Versamark, embossed, cutout with an oval Nestie, colored around the edge with a Tombow marker, and attached to the center of the frame with foam tape. The shear ribbon finished it off.

Recipe: Stamps: Festive Frame
Paper: Very Vanilla, Prism Razzleberry Light
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Tombow Marker, Ribbon, Rhinestones, Oval nestability, Egyptian Gold ep, Foam Tape

The Festive Frame on this card was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa onto white cardstock. An aquapainter was used to move the color around on the images for a little color and the center of the frame was cut out. White cardstock was cut like rolling hills and run through the cuttlebug with the Dotted Swiss folder for a little texture. They were then sewn on the polka dot patterned paper and attached to the back of the frame. The corner poinsettias were stamped on the dark red patterned paper twice, cut out, and layered on the frame. White pearls were added to the centers.

The bird and snowflake stickers from SEI's Winter Song collection were added and the wood flourish and ribbon finished it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Festive Frame
Paper: White, Baja Breeze, Winter Song Patterned Paper by SEI
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa

Accessories: Stickers from SEI's Winter Song Collection, Wood Flourish by Kaiser, White Half Pearls, Ribbon, Sewing Machine

I really wanted to try a rustic design....I love kraft paper paired with dark green...soooo homey and country!!

This also shows the versatility of this set....from elegant and classy to rustic and shabby chic...the sky is the limit!!!

The Festive Frame was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with ink pads and an aqua painter. The center was then cut out and all the edges were distressed and sponged. The poinsettias were stamped three times on vanilla with Memento Rich Cocoa, sponged with Riding Hood Red, cut out, and layered with dimensionals. Red pearls were added to the centers. The frame was attached with foam tape to the Hunter Green layer which was embossed with the Dotted Swiss folder and distressed along with the kraft matting.

The twine was wound around the frame and attached underneath with a glue dot. The sentiment from the same set was stamped on vanilla, sponged with Riding Hood Red, cutout with an oval Nestability, and attached with the distressed matting with dimensionals.
Recipe: Stamps: Festive Frame
Paper: Kraft, Handsome Hunter, Vanilla, Riding Hood Red
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, Summer Sun,
Accessories: Twine, Pearls, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Dimensionals

This is the cover of the recipe book I created with the Treasured Family Recipes Kit.

The background paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird collection which is included in the kit along with all the darling die cuts and the letters. The only extras I added not in the kit are the May Art's gingham ribbon and the Nestabilities cut paper from the kit which I framed around the circle opening.

The die cuts all have sticky tape on the back so they stick right where they are put.

I wanted the *yummy* image to show through the circle opening so I lined up the front and first pages, adhered the yummy sentiment, and then designed the page around it.

This is the first page...we are starting out with breakfast. The oatmeal muffins will get your day started off heart healthy!!!

The only things not in the kit on this page include the ribbon, Nestabilities cut circle, and the scalloped edge made with a Martha Stewart Punch.

This is the second page....after the muffins we are going to enjoy a breakfast pizza. This is what I make for breakfast when we have company or for brunch with the family. It's filling and can be doctored up for everyones taste. The only things on this page not in the kit are the ribbon and the Nestabilities cut red cricle.

For the third page we are moving on to lunch. It's a quick salad easy to make and goes well with just about anything. The ribbon is the only thing on this page not in the kit.

Is everyone ready for supper?? You are going to love this hashbrown casserole....sooo good with all that cheese!! The extra things on this page not included in the kit are the ribbon and the top note cut papers. I ran the red top note through the cuttlebug with the Dotted Swiss folder for a little texture.

Are you ready for the main course? We are having BBQ meatballs...sooo easy to make and they taste good, too!! The ribbon, round Nestability cutout, and a punched borders using a Martha Stewart punch are not in the kit.

Now it's time for dessert....yummmmm!!! This cherry dessert will knock your socks off!!! The little blingy cherries are not in the kit. I can't believe how many wonderful dies, papers, borders, and papers are in this kit...I have enough left to make several more pages. I will be finishing the backs of these pages next week. This will make a great Christmas gift for someone special!!

If you came from Noelle's blog, you are on the right track. If not, you will want to go to the Diecut Diva blog to start the hop from the beginning. Now, off you go to Suzanne's blog for more great recipes!!!

Thanks for coming by today...I know you will enjoy the hop!!!
