A Tea Party for da Mudder!!!

Hello everyone!!! I received a PM this morning from Marilynn, one of The Mothermark's Tuesday Teapotters, who wanted to host a tea party today. After blessings from Cindy, Marilynn decided to have a fall party!!
Thanks so much, Marilynn, for having this wonderful fall party for da Mudder!!! I have not been on a hayride in years....hope we get to bob for apples and smash pumpkins (watch out for Charlene!!)!!! I love the teapot you found...perfect for a fall theme!!! The Autumn Splender images were stamped with Versamark, embossed with clear ep, sponged with Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Kiwi Kiss, misted with Perfect Pearls and water, and dried with a heat tool. The main image, JustRite's Autumn Blessings set, was stamped on a piece of the sponged background paper with Chocolate Chip and the leaves were watercolored with the fall colors. Shear ribbon from Sharon Johnson's Ribbon Store and brown half pearls finished it off. Monday Morning Make Up

Good morning everyone and welcome to another make up Monday!!! I have several cards to show you today that I made for challenges last week but didn't have time to upoad to my blog.
This is my submission for Unity's Bachelor Bro Challenge week 2. We were to use something shiny or glittery, one sheet of patterned paper, two buttons, and Unity Stamps. I used glitter on the Unity Owl and shiny rhinestones, glitter patterned paper from K&Co., two buttons, and I added glitter on the wood flourish by Kaiser. All the images are from Unity's June KOM and Bevy of Butterflies set. The owl was stamped twice and one was cutout, colored, glittered, and popped up on dimensionals. One of the rhinestones was glued to the top of a button for a little extra glam.
Recipe:
Stamps: Unity June KOM, Unity Bevy of Butterflies
Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, K&Co. dp
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Glitter, Wood Flourish, Copics, Ribbon, Two buttons, Two Rhinestones, Brown Twine, Dimensionals

I made this card Saturday for the Inspiration challenge on Splitcoast. Stef found a wonderful on line store called Pajama Squad for us to find inspiration.
I found my inspiration in the Bird Love Print...loved the colors, images, and the white matting with the vanilla based image. The Rubbernecker Wildflowers were colored with copics and half pearls and Dew Drops were added to the centers. A Stampin Up! die cut was used for the birds and the Papertrey Ink Mixed Messages sentiment and ribbon tabs finish it off.

This card was made Friday for the Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoast. We were to use three things in our design: S-O-S.

My SOS card contains: S - Sewing, O - round pearls for the O shape, S - Snowflakes. The Serene Snowflakes were stampes with Versamark, embossed with clear ep, and a white crayon was used to color in the open areas on the big snowflake. Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red were sponged over the snowflakes and then it was misted with Perfect Pearls and water and dried with the heat tool. Whoohoo, Charlene...I finished my crayon resist for your DDC challenge!!!! I'm only 2 weeks late but who's counting!!! You can see all the DDC cards here. The sentiment is from Snowflake Serenade by Papertrey Ink and the shear ribbon from Sharon Johnson's Ribbon Store.

I made this card Wednesday for the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast. It's also for a very special tea party.
Since our famous Tea Pot Tuesday leader took a much needed break, Marilynn thought it would be a good idea to have a tea party for Ms. Mudder. I'm not sure where we are going but where ever it is, the critters on this sweet Stampavie are ready!!!! Thanks for all the Tuesday fun, Cindy....hope our little shower brings you a smile, sweet friend!!!

Color Challenge, DDC, and some Challenge Cards from the Weekend

Hello everyone!!! I have been such a slacker....I have had time to make cards but to lazy to update my blog!!! What's up with that????? Let's see....I have a lot of excuses but it all boils down to being retired. I love not working but I sure do need someone around to keep me in line!!!
It is raining again in Central Texas and boy are we glad!!! My yard actually needs to be mowed...yeaaaaa!!!! Anyway....
Mr. Rubbernecker sent me some new Halloween Stamps last week and I am having sooo much fun...they are such cute images!!! The pumpkin image from the Halloween set #3 was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. The sentiment is from the Halloween Set #1.....it was stamped on a piece of Summer Sun dp and slipped into the punched slot at the top to create a tag.
The Double Dog Dare Challenge this week, hosted by Anne (Itsapassion) was to use punches in a negative way. I punched the spider on the orange dp so the black layer showed through. I also punched the slot in the orange dp for the tag.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Halloween Sets 1 &3
Paper: Whisper White, Black, Pumpkin Pie, SU dp, Heidi Grace dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Silk Ribbon from Sharon Johnson's Ribbon Store, Nestabilities, EK Success Spider Punch, Dimensionals, SU Wird Window Punch, Copic Markers

This is the card I made today for the Color Challenge on Splitcoast. The colors Emily picked today are Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, and Black. Those beautiful colors got me in the mood to do a little watercoloring.
The rose image from Me and Carrie Lou was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and embossed with clear ep. Embossing with Memento gives you a very fine line...good enough to keep the colors seperated but not over powering. The image was watercolored with Razzleberry, Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss and Old Olive....I had to add a little green for the leaves. Hope the challenge police don't come knocking on my door!!! The sentiment is from PTI.

Recipe:
Stamps: Me and Carrie Lou, Sentiment from Papertrey Ink
Paper: Whisper White, Razzleberry, Black GCD Studios dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Razzleberry, Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive
Accessories: Ribbon, Dimensionals, Clear ep.

I made this card Sunday for the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast. The Featured Stamper was Heather (tankgrl) and her gallery was wonderful!!!! I found lots of cards I wanted to case but settled on her Blue Bird card because of the great layout and the stamping behind the image. I changed the image to Clear Dollar Stamps Charlie Harvest Time, changed the theme to Thanksgiving, changed the colors, and added the frame around the sentiment. The frame was actually plastic but after coloring it with copics, it looked like dark copper metal.
Charlie was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with copics. The wheat from the same set was stamped with Close to Cocoa behind the image.
The Candy Dots and twine finish it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Charlie Harvest Time
Paper: White, Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Daisy D's dp
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Candy Dots, Twine, Copics, Frame, Dimensionals

Friday's Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoast was to make a card in Halloween colors. It didn't have to be a Halloween themed card, we just needed to use a combo of orange, purples, yellows, blacks, greens and browns (or any other spooky color combo you can think of). No more than a total of 4 embellishments (brads, ribbons and such). Die cuts do not count as an embellishement.
The Really Rust background layer was run through the Cuttlebug with a texture folder. The SU image was stamped the Close to Cocoa onto Kraft top note and a light color wash of fall colored ink pads was used to color the image. The sentiment from the same set was stamped with Close to Cocoa and sponged around the edges. The Papertrey Ink Summer Sunrise ribbon and button with twine finish it off.

Recipe:

Stamps: Gifts of the Earth
Paper: Really Rust, Kraft, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Pumpkin Pie, Ruby red, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant
Accessories: PTI Ribbon, Punch, Top Note, Button, Twine
Thanks for visiting today.....hope all is well with you and yours!!!

Happy Thursday!!!

Hello everyone!! We are having a cool, overcast day today which put me in the mood for Halloween. I also received some Rubbernecker Halloween sets in tha mail this week so what's a girl to do but play!!!
The Ways to Use it Challenge on Splitcoast today was to use numbers on a project. To create the background, first the moon was masked, then the background was sponged with Ranger Dusty Concord and spritzed with a combo of Perfect Pearls and water and dried with the heat tool. The masking tape was removed and the moon was sponged with Summer Sun. The images from Rubbernecker's Halloween set 1 #473 were stamped with Ranger Black Soot and embossed with clear ep. Sewing, distressing, the Chatter Box numbers, and May Arts ribbon finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Halloween Set 1
Paper: White, Black, Elegant Eggplant, Occasions All dp
Ink: Ranger Black Soot and Dusty Concord, Summer Sun
Accessories: Perfect Pearls, Chatter Box Numbers, May Arts Ribbon, Nestabilities, Clear EP, Sewing Machine, Silver Cording
The Tuesday's Color Challenge colors on Splitcoast Tuesday were Pretty in Pink, Soft Suede, and Whisper White.
I was really excited Tuesday because I went with the Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge gang to Mississippi...whoohoo!!! We were invited by the Jellystone Park folks to have a pic-a-nic but there was a problem. Barney the bear refused to come out of the picnic basket...never fear, Mudder...I brought the tea!!! Sure hope they solved that little problem cause when teapotters get hungry, they get a little cranky!!! Especially some people, who will remain nameless, start throwing things....jezzzzz!!!

Images from Clear Dollar Stamps Tea-rrific set were stamped with Versamark onto white cs, embossed with clear ep, and sponged with Soft Suede and Pretty in Pink. A mix of Perfect Pearls and water was sprayed over the image and dried with the heat tool. Distressing and sewing was done around the edges and the main image was layered over the spellbinders medallion. This is also for the Crazy 4 Challenge sketch .

Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Tea-rrific
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Soft Suede, SU dp
Ink: Soft Suede, Versamark, Pretty in Pink

Creative Belli Challenge #74

Good morning everyone!!!! It's Wednesday and time for another Creative Belli Challenge!!! The Belli challenge this week is to make a fall themed card....check it out on the Creative Belli Blog!!

I am sooo excited to tell you that this week we are being sponcered by Creative Cute and More...a wonderful online store that specializes in die cuts, tags, hardware, and much more. They sent all the Belli girls some goodies to play with....my first card features this beautiful chocolate colored velvet frame.

The adorable cherries from Taylored Expression's Berries and Cherres set were stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with copics. The image layer was attached to the frame and then popped up on dimensionals.

The shear ribbon from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is the only embellishment. I wanted the Webster's Pages dp to showcase the beautiful velvet frame!!

The prize this week is wonderful! It will be your choice of a Boy or a Girl Birthday Card Kit. Each kit contains enough product to make 10+ cards and is valued over $30.00...Whoohoo!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Taylored Expressions Berries and Cherries
Paper: Prism Blush Red Dark, Whisper White, Webster's Pages dp
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Creative Cuts and More Velvet Frame, Shear Red Ribbon, Dimensionals, Copics, White Gel Pen.

For this card I used the beautiful A2 Circle Window card base with the round cutout window from Creative Cuts and More. I ran the front through the Cuttlebug with the Dotted Swiss folder for a little texture.

The bird paper at the bottom and the paper piecing on the tree image from Unity's August Kit of the Month is Earth Love by Cosmo Cricket.

The tree trunks were colored with a Close to Cocoa marker, the bottom edge of the bird paper was scalloped with a Stampin up! punch, and the tree image was cut out with a round Nestability.

The dotted swiss ribbon fisishes it off.

Be sure to visit the Creative Belli Design Team Member's blogs to read more details about their designs. You will find lots of awesome ideas!!! If you upload a card to Splitcoast or PCP, be sure to add CBC74 in the keywords section.

Saturday Inspiration

Good morning everyone!!! We are having a wonderfully lazy Saturday morning around here...two of my Grandbabies stayed the night and now we are watching cartoons...still in out pj's!! It's been raining for two days...yeaaaaaaaa!!!! We need it so badly!!
Anyway....I did sneak into the craft room early this morning and made this Halloween card for the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast. Stef found a great children's clothing store called CWDKids. I found inspiration from all the Halloween clothes, especially the adorable hanging spider shirt. The sweet little witch from Crafty Secrets Halloween Fun set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. A Martha Stewart punched bat was added for a little fright factor and to cover up a little blob of ink ...must have been one of those mean little spiders that left a smudge!!!
The sentiment is from the same set and was stamped, cutout with Nestabilites, and attached with a dimensional. The hanging spiders on the paper from K&Co. are flocked...I should have added googlie eyes but didn't think about it until just now....rats!!! The black ribbon attached to the sentiment finishes it off.

Recipe:

Stamps: Crafty Secrets Halloween Fun
Paper: Whisper White, Black, Pumpkin Pie, The Paper Studio dp, K&Co. dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Spellbinders Dies, Ribbon, MS Bat Punch, Nestabilities, White Gel pen for Bat's Eyes

Fran (Francie G.) is the hostess and her challenge to us this week is to use buttons on your card. Be sure to add DDC to the keywords section so it will go to the DDC gallery! The image was stamped with black and colored with copics. The background dp is by Basic Grey, the border punch by Martha Stewart, and ribbon from Michaels. A few green rhinestones were added along the sides of the oval for a little glam.

Good morning everyone!!!! Can you believe it's Wednesday already??? Where do the days go....I remember my Mom used to say that and now that I'm older, I know what she means!!!!
Wednesday means it's time for another Wacky Wednesday Challenge!!! Today's hostess is Bev and her challenge to you and the Red Hot Mommas is to use cutting on your card or project. You can do fussy cutting, out of the box cutting, anything you like as long as you cut something out and use it on your card. Nesties layers don't count!!!
I cutout the flower from a piece of Basic Grey dp and attached it to the corner of the same dp...the petals were cut around the edges , popped up, and sprinkled with glitter.

The little butterflies from Rubbernecker's Butterfly Inchies set were stamped with Vanilla Craft ink onto the dp, cutout, and attached with dimensionals. The Rubbernecker sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and cutout with Nestabilities. The edges of the paper were distressed and sewing was done around the layers. Pearls and May Arts Ribbon were added to finish it off.

Stamps: Butterfly Inches, ATC Sentiment set
Paper: White, Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Basic Grey's Stella Ruby
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, SU Vanilla Craft

Bev's challenge was so much fun I just had to make another card...I love this little cake from Rubbernecker's Party Time set...it was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto a white scalloped Nesties rectangle and colored with copics. Another one was stamped onto a piece of white scrap paper, colored, cutout, and attached over the other one with foam tape. Silver pearls were added to the flower centers. The Flourish Inchies were stamped in the background and the Spellbinders frame was attached with foam tape. Silver pearls, ribbon, silver ribbon slide, and the sentiment from the same set finish off this fun birthday card.

The tag, recess sign, and the pencil were stamped with with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. Tha apple was a wood piece from my stash that was painted with acrilic paints.
