Good morning everyone!!! It's Wednesday and you know what that means...it's time for another Rubbernecker Wacky Wednesday. Today's hostess is Shelly and her challenge to us is to use buttons...any way your little heart desires!!!

The Rubbernecker sentiment was stamped on the vellum with Archival Jet Black and embossed with clear ep. It was attached at the botton and then May Arts Ribbon was gathered on the sewing machine and attached over the vellum. The buttons were all attached to the ribbon with glue dots.
Martha Stewart butterflies were punched out of Prism Intense Teal, antennas were drawn on, and black pearls were used for a little glam.

Dare to Get Dirty Card...Combo of Six Dirty Challenges!!!
Papertrey Inks Fruitful images were stamped the various shades of orange, green, and pink...
some were masked and others were cutout and attached with glue dots and dimensionals. Bling was added to the lime, lemons, and orange and the rhinestone cherries were added to the ribbon. A little zig zag sewing was done on the ribbon and the sentiment is from the same set.
The challenges are as follows:
1. DTGD09Basilefamily - The inspiration challenge came to us from Joanne and she chose a beautiful pattern from the Lilly Pulitzer collection to use as the inspiration . I drew my inspiration from the colors and the collage effect.
2. DTGD09craftycaro - To make a card other than the standard A2 size...mine is 4 1/4 by 4 3/4
3. DTGD09DeborahLynneS - To use texture...I used flock on the peach and leaves.
4. DTGD09TruCarMa - to use food...I used fruit
5. DTGD09Laurely - to use ribbon in an interesting way.....mine is a little different
6. DTGD09BevMom - to use sewing...I sewed just a little on the ribbon.
I have finished 7 of the challenges now...only 14 to go...yikes!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: PTI Fruitful
Paper: White, Raspeberry Rizz, Prism Baby Pink Light
Ink: Certainly Celery, Raspberry Fizz, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie,

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Four Challenge card!!!
Yesterday's Color Challenge on Splitcoast was to use Certainly Celery, Pixie Pink, and Apricot Appeal....thanks, Betty, for the great challenge!!!
Yesterday was a great day to go to a tea party (the Mudder's, that is) however, not sure how I feel about sharing my lily pad with a frog!!! Hummm, maybe he is the prince and will sweep me off my feet...all good as long as I don't have to eat the dragonfly!!! This is also for Anne's (Itsapassion) DDC challenge to use only edible papers and inks. That means to only use colors that have something edible in the name. You can see all the DDC cards here. I used the challenge colors but since I didn't have Pixie Pink I used Raspberry Fizz instead. The copics I used also had edible names and will list them below. We were also to add something edible to the design...The little dragonfly is my goodie for today...the frogs eyes are just bugging out at the thought of lunch!!!
One more challenge....this qualifies for
Deb's DTGD challenge to use texture...a cuttlebug folder was used on the background and the glitter counts a little. Ribbon and the tea cup charm finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Frolicking Frogs
Paper: Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal, Raspberry Fizz, White
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal
Accessories: Tea Cup Charm, Googlie Eyes, Gold Cording, Ribbon, Punch, Nestabilities, Chalk for the sky and water, Glitter, Cuttlebug, Copics: Ice Cream, Sugared Almond Pink, Wax White, Cream, Lime Green, Pale Lemon, Pale Olive
Whew...that's all folks...time for this old Grandma to go to bed!!! Thanks sooo much for visiting this morning and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!!
Lockhart Cupcakes and Catch Up Posts From last Week
Good morning everyone!!! I have been MIA for a few days...Mom and Dad had appointments, we had a little get together on Saturday, had Grandkiddos stay over and went to see Harry Potter again....I think I know it word for word, now!!! Isn't summer fun!!! I just wish it wasn't sooooo hot...the temps are still above 100 and no rain in our area!!! Anyway, enough whining...on with the show!!!
I made these sweet little Lockhart cupcakes for the CAS challenge this morning. Jen had a sketch for us provided by Krystie Lee. The cupcakes were colored with copics and scraps of dp, ribbon, and a Nesties embossed frames finish them off. The sentiments are from a retired SU set called Fancy Flexible Phrases. I need to make another one with the rose cuppie...wouldn't these make a great gift set??
Cards I made last week....
I made this Sunday for the Featured Stamper challenge.... this week the fs was Lori (Versamom). What an AWESOME gallery....I loved so many cards that I decided to make two...I cased her VMAA Holy Cow card, kept the same theme with the cow image and tree paper but changed the cow image to Rubbernecker's Animal Inchies, changed the paper, and added the pearls at the bottom (don't look too close cause I just realized they are a little crooked...yikes!!). I also cased herA Muse Love Blooms Sneak Peek, kept the same colors, theme, and basic layout but changed the image, corners, and added the pearls. The Holy Cow card qualifies for Becca's Dare to Get Dirty challenge to use punches and die cuts. The image and sentiment layers were cutout with Nestabilities and the olive layer under the cow was punched out using a 1 3/8" punch.
The Limited Supply challenge on SCS Friday was called "Get your motor running"! We were to use an image that you can rev up! car, motorcycle, truck, mopad, boat, jetski, anything with an engine!
....I'm not sure a space ship has a conventional motor but that's ok...it has something that makes it move!! I colored the Lost in Space images by Clear Dollar Stamps with Copics and used Playtime dp by 3 Bugs in a Rug for the background layers. Silver Dew Drops, polka dot ribbon, and a clip finish it off. I am going to save this card for one of my DGS's birthdays next year.
I just got this adorable paper called My Sweet Cherry Pie by Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker from Clear Dollar Stamps and thought it would go perfectly with the cherry image from Clear Dollar Stamps Tangy Trio set. The charm is actually a cherry brad but I took the metal thingys off the back and hung it on the ribbon with silver cording. Sewing around the edges and a little silver clip finish it off.
I made this card Tuesday for the Color Challenge on SCS and for the Muddermark's Tuesday tea party in Paris!!! I have always wanted to go to Europe and there I was on my little scooter following all the bicycles on the Tour...Whoohoo!!! I even bleached my hair and lost 20 lbs!!! If you look closely in the lower right corner you will see a little white snail...he escaped the bicycles but looks like I'm headed right for him...yikes!!! Check out Cindy's blog for all the deets on the white snail tea pot!! This is also for Taylored Expression's Cupcake Challenge sketch.
Whew...that's all folks....now I have to play catch up with all the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges that I wasn't able to do last week....have a great day!!!
Hello everyone...hope you are having a wonderful Monday!! We went to see the new Harry Potter movie on Saturday...it was kinda long and not very exciting. Maybe they are saving all the excitment for the last one!! Anyway...
I made a couple of cards for Splitcoast's Friday Night VSN challenge night....I am not a fast stamper so finishing a card in 45 minutes was kinda stressful but fun!! The first challenge was to use a hole punch in a new way. I had to cover up some of the holes I made for the bubbles with bling because I ripped the paper.....way to go grandma!!! I colored the Rubbernecker images with copics and colored the water with chalks. Ribbon is the only other embellishment on this one layer card. If I had more time I would have popped the fish and some of the coral but that's for another day!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker
Paper: White, Pacific Point, Baja Breeze
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Chalk, Copics, Bling, Punch, Ribbon
The second challenge was a color challenge to use pink, green, white, and black. I stamped the Botanical Bloom image with Versamark and embossed with white ep. A tiny black pearl was added to the center and a pink silk ribbon finishes it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Botanical Blooms
Paper: White, Prism Baby Pink Medium, Frosted Mint, Provo Craft dp
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: White ep, Nestabilities, May Arts Silk Ribbon, SU Scallop Punch, Black Pearl
Today's CAS challenge on Splitcoast is a color challenge: turquoise, orangs, and yellow. When I saw the challenge colors, I knew right away what paper I wanted to use but it took me quite a while to find it...I just love this Pink Paislee paper pack called Vintage Moon...the owl was the perfect color. Turquoise flowers with orange and yellow rhinestones were added to the branches and the Unity Stamps sentiment from the July KOM finishs it off. I did add black pearls to the owl's eyes for a little dimension.
Recipe:
Stamps: Unity July KOM
Paper: Pink Paislee dp, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Whisper White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Flowers, Rhinestones, Black Pearls, Nestabilities, Dimensionals
Thanks for visiting today....have a great day!!!
Multiple Challenge Cards
Good morning everyone!! It's 1:00 AM and I'm still up...yikes!!! I am going to be sooo tired tomorrow!!! Anyway....
The Ways to Use It challenge on Splitcoast yesterday was to use doubles. You could use two of the same image, buttons, brads, ets. I inked up some new Unity Stamps that needed a little love today!! These are images from the June KOTM...they were colored with copics, glitter was added to the bee's wings, and a Swarouski Crystal was added to the flower center. The ribbon is Melon Berry from PTI and the dp is by Making Memories. This is also for last weeks DDC challenge hosted by Joanne (sleepyinseattle) to make a Summery card using yellow, blue, and orange. My orange is more coral but don't tell Joanne!!!
If you want to play along just add DDC to the keywords section so we can find your card! Here is the link to the DDC challenge thread.
Recipe:
Stamps: Unity June KOTM
Paper: White, Black, Just Chillin dp by Making Memories
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Barely Banana
Accessories: Glitter, Punch, Nestabilities, PTI Ribbon, Swarouski Crystal, Dimensionals
I made this card for the Color Challenge on Tuesday. The colors were Barely Banana, Lavender Lace, White, Black, and Going Gray. I didn't have any Going Gray so I used Basic Gray. I really struggled with the color combo...after reworking the card several time I decided to stop and call it a day!!! The bride image was stamped with Archival Jet Black and embossed with clear ep. The dp is from Stampin Up, the crystal flourishes from Hobby Lobby, and the May Arts ribbon from Rubbernecker. This is also for this weeks Double Dare challenge hosted by Fran (Francie G.) to make a wedding card. If you would like to join us in the challenge, add DDC to the keyworks section of your upload so we can find your card.
Paper: White, Black, Barely Banana, Lavender Lace, Stampin Up dp
I made this card Wednesday for the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast. I used the Lost in Space set from Clear Dollar Stamps and the paper is Cogsmo by Cosmo Cricket. Wacky Wednesday
Good morning everyone!!! It's Wednesday and you know what that means...it's time for another Rubbernecker Wacky Wednesday. The hostess today is Miss Jules and she has an inspiration challenge for us today!! She found this wonderful Esty store called Janine King Designs. It is full of beautiful things to inspire you!!! I fell in love with this awesome zebra striped sling purse. I even had some zebra striped paper called Hot Mama Zebra by Glitz Designs. I did a little sewing around the edges for some texture and sewed the black ruffle on at the bottom. The silhouette from Rubbernecker's Fashion Icon's set #455 was stamped on Prism Intense Pink cardstock with Archival Jet Black and embossed with clear ep. The other images from the same set were all stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, cut out and attached with dimensionals.
The sentiment says " saw it, loved it, bought it!" ...how true is that!!!! Ribbon, Kaiser wood flourish, and buttons finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Fashion Icon set #455
Paper: Prism Intense Pink, Black, Glitz Design dp
Ink: Archival Jet black, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Black Lace, Sewing Machine, Nestabilities, Buttons, Twine, Wood Flourish, Dimensionals
I had to make one more card because I found another purse called, Asian Cherry Blossom, that was sooo beautiful!!! I used one of the flower image from Rubbernecker's Flower Silhouette #2 set, stamped the image twice with Archival Jet Black and embossed with clear ep. The image and red background were cutout with Nestabilites and the black layer was cut freehand.
The sentiment from the same set was also stamped with Archival Jet Black and cut out with Nesties.
Martha Stewart butterfly punch, black pearls, red bling, and black silk ribbon finish it off.
CAS Challenge, Featured Stamper Challenge, and Limited Supply Challenge
Good morning everyone!! I have been one busy Grandma the past few days!!! We kept our 21 month old Grandaughter Caitlyn since Friday so her parents and older brother could go to Six Flags in Dallas. It was 102 degrees on Saturday...yikes!!! Sure glad I stayed home!!! We also had a birthday party for our oldest Granddaughter...CJ turned 14!!! Can that really be true???? She is growing up toooo fast!!! Anyway...the kids are home and I am playing catchup with updating my blog!!
The CAS challenge on Splitcoast today is an inspiration challenge...check out this awesome art web site!! After looking at hundreds of pictures, I decided to find inspiration from this beautiful yellow flower.
The Clear Dollar Stamps Summer Blooms Dahlia image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics.
I added some distressing around the edges with the Itty Bitty background stamp and Baja Breeze ink.
Ribbon is the only embellish. Boy was that hard not to add some bling, scallops, and a few more layers!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Summer Blooms Dahlia
Paper: Whisper White, River Rock, Baja Breeze, Laura Ashley dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Nestabilities, Dimensionals, Copics
Friday's Limited Supply challenge on Splitcoast was to:
1. Crop an image
2. Repeat the cropped image on your card at least 3 times
3. Embellishments : brads and eyelets only!
Well, I got the first two right but didn't remember to use only brads and eyelets....I waited all evening for the challenge police to come knocking on my door!!!!
The Clear Dollar Stamps Summer Bloom Dahlia image was stamped three times and colored with copics. The 1 1/4 inch punch was used to punch out different angles of each flower and layered them on the black and Lemon tart from Papertrey Ink. The background designer paper is from Sassafras, the crystal flourish is from Prima and I added glitter to the flower centers and leaves to qualify this for Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply challenge.
I was sooo excited to see Kelly (schirmcat) chosen as Sunday's Featured Stamper !! She made her claim to fame with the naughty and nice Christmas list of SCS's last Christmas!!! Hummmm...I wonder what kind of trouble she will stir up this year!!!!! I thought I would get on her good side by casing her sweet little Merci card to thank her for all the fun (how did she know about my naughty side, anyway???)!!! I kept the same layout and colors but changed the stamps...I used Rubbernecker's Springtime Inchies and changed the buttons and ribbon to PTI's. I also wrote the sentiment instead of stamping it like Kelly did on her card. The paper was changed to Making Memories dp called Flower Patch and I added an extra layer of green cardstock.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Springtime Inchies
Paper: Whisper White, Lemon Tart by PTI, Prism Classic Yellow Green
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copics, Buttons, Ribbon, Twine, Corner Punch, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for visiting today.....I hope your Monday is super wonderful!!!
Clean and Simple Meets the Featured Stamper and the DDC Challenge!!
You may be wondering why I have two cards here. Well, to make a long story short....I have a real hard time with CAS cards!!! I made the card on the right first...kept adding and adding layers and other stuff until it didn't qualify for a CAS.
Not to be foiled, I started over and kept the layers to a minimum. Whoohoo...I think it did it!!! Who said that making CAS cards was easy?????
This is also for Sunday's Featured Stamper challenge to honor Sandra {B-gin-r}. She has such a fabulous gallery...check it out!! I cased her Fried Chicken Anyone card...kept the same layout but changed the colors, papers, and used Clear Dollar Stamp's Tangy Trio stamps.
I also made this for last weeks DDC challenge hosted by me to make a card using your favorite colors. I love fall colors so I used green, red, and shades of yellow. Please join the DDC challenge...be sure to add DDC to the keywords section of your upload so we can find your card. Check out the DDC Gallery for lots of inspiration!!
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Rich Cocoa, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Apricot Appeal, More Mustard
