Happy Saturday!!!

Good morning!!! No stamping for me today...we will have company this weekend so I will be busy cooking and playing with grandkids!!! I did want to share some cards I made last week but didn't get a chance to upload them here.
I made this card yesterday for 3 challenges. The Queen for the Day challenge on Splitcoast hosted by the FABULOUS Anne Ryan honored my Rubbernecker DT friend Frances Gumprecht. It's a good day to be Queen...Congrats Francie...can't think of a more deserving stamper for the QFTD20!!!!!I chose to case her Lovely Floral Spotlight card....I kept the same basic layout, used the same Rubbernecker Florals stamps, and spotlight but changed the accent colors to green and yellow, added the punched border layer to qualify for my friend Bev's F4A23 challenge, and changed the embossing folder in the background. This also qualifies for Sharon's Friday Stamp Simply challenge to use black/white/green/yellow. The silhouette images were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with clear ep. The spotlight uses the same stamp with Kiwi Kiss and So Saffron.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Florals
Paper: White, Black, Kiwi Kiss
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Kiwi Kiss, So Saffron
Accessories: Pearls, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder, EK Success Scallop Border Punch, Ribbon, Round Punches

I made this for last weeks Color Challenge on Splitcoast...the colors were Regal Rose, Old Olive, and Peach Parfait. I also made this for da Mudder's Teapot Tuesday challenge to bring lots of hearts to the tea party. My heart or tart...(I'm sooo confused!!) is really anxious to get to the party so she grew some wings and is on her way!! This is also for a few of the DTGD challenges:DTGD10flowergal36, DTGD10notimetostamp, DTGD10suzannejdean, and DTGD10leighobrien. You still have till August 1 to participate in the Dare to get Dirty challenges so if you are a Fan Club member, check them all out here.
Recipe:
Stamps: Unity August 2009 SOM
Paper: Regal Rose, Vanilla, Basic Grey's Green at Heart, Basic Grey's Sugared
Ink: Old Olive, Regal Rose
Accessories: Nestabilities, Button, Ribbon, Floral Pick
I made a tilt card with the little dove but had to use buttons instead of a penny because my image was too small. The tree image from Gina K's Blessed is the Season set was stamped with Handsome Hunter on Handsome Hunter cardstock. The script image from the same set was stamped with Bravo Burgundy on Bravo Burgundy cardstock and the bird was embossed with white opaque ep on white cs. Sewing, distressing, gingham ribbon, and lace give it a country look.
This was made for several Dare to get Dirty challenges...check out all the challenges here.
Recipe:
Stamps: Gina K's Blessed is the Season
Paper: Handsome Hunter, Bravo Burgundy, White, Karen Foster dp
Ink: Handsome Hunter, Bravo Burgundy, Versamark
Accessories: Lace, Ribbon, Clear ep, Nestabilities, Buttons, Sewing Machine

Lanterns, Shells, and Flowers

Good morning everyone!! I got inspired last night by this picture on the Moxie Fab World Blog and just had to make a card for the challenge!!!
I just got these adorable lantern stamps from Impress Stamps and thought they would be perfect for my challenge card. Three of the lanterns were stamped on Sassafras Sunshine Lollipops dp and the other two were stamped with Tangerine Tango and Bermuda Bay. I hand drew the doodled cord and the sentiment is from Papertrey Inks Everyday Button Bits.
Recipe:
Stamps: Impress Stamps, Papertrey Ink
Paper: Vanilla, Really Rust, Basic Grey's Kioshi, Sassafras Sunshine Lollipop dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tangerine Tango, bermuda Bay
Accessories: Black Artists Pen, Dimensionals
I made this card for Stamp TV's Sketch Challenge......the images from Melanie Muenchinger's Gifts from the Sea set were stamped with Vivid Aqua, cutout, and attached around the sentiment with dimensionals. I used an aqua painter to add a little more of the Aqua ink to give the images a little dimension. Stamps from the same set were stamped in the corner to create the triangle in the sketch. Ribbon and pearls finish it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Melanie Muenchinger's Gifts from the Sea
Ink: Vivid Aqua
Accessories: Ribbon, Pearls, Nestabilities
This card was made for Stamp TV's Inspiration Challenge...check out the beautiful inspiration wreath!!! I stamped Melanie Muenchinger's Year of Flowers images with Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear ep, watercolored with Tombow markers, cutout, and attached with glue dots and dimensionals. The silk ribbon is the only embellishment.

Good morning everyone...today's Color Challenge on Splitcoast uses 3 of the new in colors but wouldn't ya know I don't have a single new color yet so I had to improvise!! This is also for da Mudder's Teapot Tuesday challenge. It seems Moe the cow who is really slow, went to Auctioneer school and will have his audition for a job soon. He has some pretty stiff competition from Ramblin Ricky and Jabberin Joe. The teapotters have a mission to show Moe how to speed up. We have been challenged to make 2 fast cards...no fancy doo dads, no embellies, no flowers, ribbons, pearls....yikes!!!!! No in colors and no embellies...what's a girl to do???? I dug out my only cow image from Very Punny and went to work!! After I popped up the little cows and the sun I reread the rules and noted we were to make a FLAT card....jeeezzzzzz!!!! Please don't tell da Mudder or I will have to come to the party through the back door!!! I'm still trying to smash down my pop up's!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Very Punny, Unity's July 2009 KOM and June 2009 KOM
Paper: White, Old Olive, So Saffron, Prism Intense Cobalt
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Dusty Concord Distress Ink, Bashful Blue, Old Olive
Accessories: Copics, MFT's Grass Die

A great big CONGRATS goes out to Toni (Ravengirl) for being chosen this weeks Featured Stamper on Splitcoast!!! Toni's gallery is sooo full of FABULOUS designs...I chose her CAS Turtle Thanks card to case. I kept the same basic layout and animal theme but changed the colors, changed the stamps to Clear Dollar Stamps Goose Hugs, and added the background layer.

Good Monday Morning!!

Good Monday morning everyone!!! Just wanted you to know I have started another diet today......we had company this weekend and we ate sooo much that I don't think I'll eat all week!!!! Soooo...today is the day...gotta loose 20 pounds. I'll keep you posted on my progress.
Anyway...enought depressing talk...now onto something fun!!!
Did you join in on any of the DTGD challenges on Splitcoast last week??? I finished all 33...Whoohoo!!!! I left the altered projects till last...the picture above shows the frame, white bag, and the empty frosting container before and below shows the after.....

I made this sweet frame for Melanie's challenge, DTGD10melmel and Debbie's challenge, DTGD10Debbiedee. I used a frame I bought at Michaels for $1.00 about 6 months ago...painted it with cream acrilic paint, stamped Unity's Sheet Music background, SU's Weathered, and SU's Itty Bitty Background on the frame in random areas with Vivid Tuscan Tan. Then I added the flowers, ribbon, pearl flourish, and punched butterflies with pearl accents. Caitlyn is my youngest DGD and she is 2 going on 10 and cute as a button (do I sound like a proud grandma???)!!!

I made the bag for Holly's challenge, DTGD10Toy and for Tracy's challenge, DTGD10Lodichick.The card is for Julie's Challenge, DTGD10justwritedesigns02 and for Tiffany's challenge, DTGD10Tiffguam. Stampin Up! papers were used on both projects along with ribbons, buttons, bling, sewing, and Nina Brackett's Lovely Labels images on the bag and the sentiment from an unknown set....somewhere I have a set without the sentiment..LOL!!!
This is for DTGD10Debbiedee. I used Stampin Up! papers on the base and the lid and added the scalloped layer around the bottom with the gold pearl accents. Ribbons and the sugared roses on the top finish it off. This will be a Christmas gift for someone special.

If you are a Fan Club member, you still have till August 1 to complete all the challenges for some awesome prizes!! Check out all the fun on Splitcoaststampers!!
Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!!!

I combined the DTGD10rsalamon challenge with the DTGD10justwritedesigns01 challenge. The roses from Melanie Muenchinger's Pressed Flowers set were stamped with Vivid Aqua and the leaves were stamped with Kiwi Kiss. Two of the the flowers and leaves were cutout and popped up with dimensionals. The sentiment from Gina K's Inside Out set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, cutout with a Nesties shape, and sponged with the Aqua ink while it was still in the die. The punched butterfly was added to finish it off.

I made this card yesterday for the Featured stamper challenge....I was really excited to see Latisha (1busymomof2) as Featured Stamper in the spotlight...her gallery was such a delight with lots of gorgeous cards to case!!!! I made this super fun Retro card for two challenges: Bev's DTGD10Bevmom ( I just love the food channel) and Kim's DTGD10Blondie090277 . I used papers and stickers from the the cutest scrapbook kit I bought at my LSS called Mom's Diner *Cookbookin* by PJK Designs from San Antonio, Tx. Recipe:
Paper: Prism Frosted Teal, Black, Cookbookin dp from PJK Designs
Accessories: Ribbon, Dimensionals

Anne (Itsapassion) hosted the Inspiration Challenge on SCS Saturday and chose the coolest web store called "Georgie Love". It's a source for Australian artists in Victoria to promote and sell their works to the world. I found my inspiration from the Black & White Damask Pleated Wristlet purse simply because I already had the black and white paper sitting on my stamp table from another project. I just love it when a plan comes together!!! The flower silhouette and sentiment both from Rubbernecker was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear ep, cutout with a Nesties shape, and attached with foam tape. The silk ribbon and prima finish it off.

I just have Autumn today and she is still in bed so Grandma got to play by herself...whoohoo!!!
I love Taylors sketch this week...I used Verve's new set called Blessings. The Irish Blessing was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa on vanilla cs and the flourish was stamped with Soft Sky. Technique Lover's Challenge #281

Hello everyone!!! I am hosting Monday's Technique Lover's Challenge on Splitcoast again tonight and my challenge to you is embossing on embossing!! You can use a simple embossing technique and then dry emboss over the top, do an emboss resist first and then finish it with the dry embossing, or dry emboss over dry embossing....what ever flips you skirt!!!

Karen Barber used dry embossing over an embossing resist technique on her gorgeous CC278 Beautiful Trio of Color card...in fact, Karen's card is the inspiration for this challenge!!

My card features the simple technique of embossing the Stamp Oasis sentiment and butterfly with clear ep over black ink and then running the white layer throught the Cuttlebug with the music score folder....simple yet dramatic!! The rose image from Rubbernecker was colored with copics, cutout, and attached with dimensionals. The black silk ribbon is the only embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by......hope you join us for the TLC Challenge!!!
