Color Throwdown Challenge #366

Hello everyone!!! It's my turn to host the Color Throwdown Challenge and I just had to go Fallish!!! I love fall and all the beautiful colors...when I saw this quilt on Pinterest, I knew the colors would be perfect for this week's challenge challenge: gray, rust, and aqua

My card features the adorable Little Bits-Fox dies from Taylored Expressions...isn't he just the cutest!!! He was cutout of Sugar Cube and Really Rust cardstock.... black pearls were added for the eyes and nose. He was popped up on the patterned paper "grass" that was cut with the TE Build a Scene-Rolling Hills die. The sky was watercolored with dark gray ink and the trees were cut with the TE Build a Scene-Trees and the Build a Scene-Winter Trees dies using  Earl Grey cardstock and pattern papers.

The sentiment is from the If Dogs Could Talk Stamp & Die Combo and the cloud was cut out of Sugar Cube cardstock with one of the Build a Scene-Tree dies. It was popped up with a foam dot and the button with a twine bow finishes it off.

Remember, be sure to add CTD366 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!! Also, please use #ctd366 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.

The curve on the paper was cut with one of the TE Build a Scene-Rolling Hills dies and the leaves were cut out of Coastal Cabana cardstock with the leaf dies from the TE Bloomers Greenery die set.

The LOVE YOU was cut with one of the sentiment dies from the TE Pockets & Pages February Script set and the twine finishes it off.

Bunches of Kites - Thank You

Hello everyone!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend....if you live in Texas like I do, I hope you were able to stay dry!!! Can you believe all the rain...we aren't finished with the bad weather yet...we are supposed to get a little more next week...oh boy!! We went to my granddaughter Mackenzie's Encore concert Saturday night...it was a wonderful show!! Mackenzie and her group are super talented singers and such a joy to watch. I have posted a few pictures at the bottom of this post. Anyway....on to a little stamping news!!

My sweet and very talented daughter, Holly, was the hostess for Saturday's HYCCT1524 Challenge on Splitcoast. The Hope You Can Cling To challenges were developed for stampers to come together and create hundreds of works of art to share with the patients and their friends and family at MD Anderson.

Holly's challenge was to create a thank you card with bunches of something on the front....I used kites.

My little kites made with Taylored Expressions  Little Bits-Kites dies were adhered to a watercolored round layer that was cut with the Stitched Circle Stacklet and the hand cut tags were added along the side. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions From Me To You stamp set.... the Baker's Twine is the finishing touch.

Mackenzie is singing her solo...

The whole group...

This is her small group...

Daddy David, Cody, and Gabe.

Mackenzie is a little miffed that her little 12 year old brother is now taller than her...I'm afraid she is short like me....small but mighty!!!

Thanks for stopping by...have a wonderful week!!!
