Color Throwdown #339

Hello everyone!!! It's my turn to host the Color Throwdown and I have picked a very limited pallette...white, black, and yellow. My first thought was to do bees but this color combo would also look great with flowers, sunbursts, silhouettes, butterflies...what ever strikes your fancy!!!

My card features several dies and an embossing folder from Taylored Expressions.
The background was created with the TE Walking in Sunshine embossing folder and lemon Meringue cardstock. White craft ink was applied to the raised areas and polka dot paper was cutout and popped up over the *sun* area. The bees were cut out with the TE Little Bits - Bumble Bee dies. Black pearls were added for the eyes and the curly trails were cut out with the TE Little Bits - Confetti and Candle dies.

The clouds were cutout with one of the TE Cloud Stacklets dies and the divided sentiment was created with the Mini Caps Alpha and #'s Dies and the *Happy* die from the Think Happy Thoughts Stamp and Die Combo.

Remember, be sure to add CTD339 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your cretions!! Also, please use #ctd339 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.

Sweet Little One

Hello everyone!! I needed a baby girl card so I decided to use the cute little Onesie Die from Taylored Expressions. The Onesie was cut from  Lavender Glaze cardstock and lace was drawn on with a white Sharpe pen. Enamel dots were added and the sentiment is from the TE Mama and Me Stamp Set.

The designer paper from Taylored Expressions is called Double the Joy and the cardstock was embossed with the TE Lots of Dots Embossing Folder. The TE Postage Stamp Stacklets die cut was used for the sentiment and the button and ribbon finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!!! We are getting lots of rain so I guess I will have to stay in my craft room. Oh darn...I really wanted to run the sweeper and dust but I would hate to start the sweeper especially if the electricity might go out. Sounds like a good excuse, right???

Paper: Sugar Cube, Lavender Glaze, Double the Joy 6x6 paper pack (TE)
Ink: Memento Lulu Lavender (Tsukineko)

Color Throwdown Challenge #338

Hello everyone!! The Belton Iris Show was last week and I actually had some Iris to show this year. I won two second place ribbons and an honorable mention. Several people from the Austin club came to our show and walked away with most of the blue ribbons,  best of class, and best of show awards. My prettiest Iris opened up two days after the show...wouldn't you know!! Also, my granddaughter, Autumn,  had her prom on Saturday so we all drove to Cedar Park (north of Austin) to take pictures. She looked sooo pretty and sooo grown up....when did that happen???

Anyway...it's Wednesday and time for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge!! Broni is our hostess this week and she has picked colors I wouldn't have put together on my own but once I started working with the more masculine pallette, I grew to love them!!

My card features the cute Little Bits - Kite and Little Bits - Bicycle from Taylored Expressions.  The background was sponges through a stencil and a flourish stamp from the TE Wine a Little stamp set was stamped behind the bicycle.

The sentiment is from the TE Delightful Day stamp set and the enamel dots and washi tape finish it off.

Remember, be sure to add CTD338 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your cretions!! Also, please use #ctd338 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.
