A New Toy!

Good morning everyone...I have to work today so this will be short and sweet!  I got a new Tim Holtz Alterations Sizzix holly leaf die and just had to play with it!! The leaves and berries were stamped with Rubbernecker's Screen Background #452 and sponged with Handsome Hunter and Ruby Red. I used some Walnut Crystals on the branch but after I mixed up the crystals and water, I promptly spilled the stain all over my work surface and flooded the branch....oy vey!!! I kinda ran out of steam after that!!! The RN Merry Christmas sentiment #387-10 was stamped with Handsome Hunter and the seam binding, button, and gold cording finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Screen background and Rubbernecker sentiment
Paper: White, Handsome Hunter, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, Basic Grey dp
Ink: Handsome Hunter, Ruby Red
Accessories: Walnut Crystals, TH die, Button, Gold Cording, Seam Binding,

Thanks for dropping by...have a super fab day!!!

Good Monday morning everyone!! I had a chance to play in the TLC challenge on Splitcoast today. Holly has  a great challenge for us...make holiday tags!!
I used the Rubbernecker Grand Mitten #SKU: 22-09 stamp to create my tags. They were stamped on a piece of Basic Grey dp and colored with Copics. The mittens were matted with taken with teal cardstock, a punched tag was added to the top, *to and from* were hand written on the front, and the Baker's Twine finishes them off....easy peasy!!
I need to make a few more of these for the grands Christmas presents. If I added another layer of cardstock to the backside and did a little sewing around the edges I could use these for gift card holders...hummmm...I think I'll give that a try!!!

It's below freezing this morning...yikes!!! We brought most of the plants inside so my house looks like a jungle...I'm not even going to think about all  the bugs that hitched a ride into the warm house!!! Have a great Monday!!

Winter Birthday

Good morning everyone....I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!  We had a houseful of family and lots of good food that we are still eating today!!  Call us crazy...we actually got up at 1:30 this morning to go shopping for Black Friday...we bought lots of bargins so I think my sleepless day was worth it!! I have about 90% of my Christmas shopping finished...Whoohoo!!! I may end up doing the rest of it on line....not many bargins there but it sure is easier on the feet...LOL!!! I sure wish the good fairy would come and wrap everything, now...I would even pay her to take that job off my hands!!! Anyway....I thought I would share the birthday card I made for my Dad...It's really hard for me to make masculine cards so this was a challenge for me!!

The Inkadinkado image was stamped on Kraft with Handsome Hunter and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. It was framed with vanilla that was cutout with a deckled rectangle Nestabilities,  stamped with on old retired stampin Up! plaid background, sponged with Walnut Distress ink and adhered to the image layer with foam tape. A thin frame was cutout with two different sized Nesties and adhered to the edge. The twine, button, and home made tag with Snap Stamps sentiment finishes it off.

This is also for  The Crafty Purple Frog Challenge to make something special for someone (my dad), The Crafty Ribbons Challenge to make a tag, and The Rainbow Lady's Challenge to make a card for a man (my dad).

Thanks for stopping by...have a great weekend!!! We will have 4 of our grandsons here in a few minutes to play while their parents shop...wish me luck...LOL!!

Christmas is in the Air!!

Good morning everyone and happy Friday!! We have been busy the last couple of days cleaning this dirty house...we pick my Sister and her DH up at the airport tomorrow. They well stay until Tuesday... hopfully we will have some warm weather for them. It just blows me away at how much junk I can collect in just a few months!! If I don't shred junk mail every day, I end up with a stack...why are they sending me all that stuff when I just get rid of it....it's a wonder we have any trees left at all!!!
Anyway...enough whining!! On to a much better subject...Christmas!! I made this bag for the
TLC Challenge on Splitcoast. Holly's challenge was  * it's a wrap* so I decorated a gift bag. The vintage Santa from Crafty Secrets was stamped with Real Red and it was layered onto a fancy Spellbinder's doily diecut. The papers and stickers were all from The Girls Paperie Tinsel and Twig collection.

I made this card yesterday for the Ways to Use It Challenge on Splitcoast....it was called *Baby it's cold outside*. What a fun challenge...it gave me a chance to use the cute little bird, sentiment, and snowflakes from Paper Smooches new winter set called Swanky Snowdudes. The birds were colored with copics and Stickles was added to the fur on the birds caps. The branch stamp  from Impress was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and the snow with Stickles, SEI paper, and ribbon finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by on this beautiful Friday morning...I hope you day is super special!!!
