Swap Cards

Good morning everyone...I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!! It has taken me 2 days to get back to normal...LOL!!! I have got to get the fall things put away this afternoon and start unpacking the 15 containers of Christmas stuff!! My DD Holly and I are going to a Christmas swap in Georgetown, Texas on December 11 and I have been working on a few designs....I just can't decide on which card to use for the swap. We are to design a card that can be put together in 10 minutes or less and I wanted the card to be flat for mailing.
This card is the flatest.....bling stickers and a Martha Stewart punched snowflake jazz it up a little. A clear Gelly Roll pen adds a little sparkle to the Gina K. snowflakes from The Magic of Christmas set.

The sentiment on this card is from Papertrey Ink's Snowflake Serenade, the red snowflake was made with an EK success Punch, and the pearl finishes it off.

This is my first choice....it's really flat and shiny with the Gelly Roll pen on the snowflakes. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Holiday Button Bits set.

Thanks for stopping by ....I hope you have a great Sunday!!!

More Craft Sale Goodies

Hello everyone!! Today is the big day...the craft sale starts at 9:00. Before I head out I wanted to show you the rest of the card set designs I made...hope they all sell!!!

This fun set was made with the Blossom Nestabilities for the flower and a Stampin Up! die was used for the leaves. The Paper Studio dp is from Hobby Lobby and the bag was made from PTI's Plum Pudding cardstock and Plum Pudding ribbon. Sentiment is from PTI's Communique Sentiments.

This set uses the Nativity image and sentiment from Lizzie Anne Design's Silent Night set...the image was stamped with Versafine Black Onyx and embossed with clear ep. The Basic Grey Jovial dp, gold pearls, and a gold ribbon finish it off.

Don't ya just love that Jovial dp...it's sooo pretty!!

My last set uses stamps from Papertrey Ink's Christmas Friends set. They were stamped with Kiwi Kiss, Perfect Plum, and Marina Mist onto Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock. The ornament was popped up on dimensionals and a few pearls were added for a little glam.

Whew.....everything is finished and ready to sell!!! I can't wait to see what everyone else is bringing!!! Have a great weekend!!!

A Study in Green and More Projects for the Church Craft Sale

Good morning everyone!!! I hope all is well with you on this wonderful Friday morning!!! Our church craft sale is Saturday so today we will set everything up. I have been using all my spare time to finish up my cards and other goodies so I haven't cleaned my house or cooked anothing...I'm getting kinda used to carry out...LOL!!! I am going to share more of the cards and projects I made but first I wanted to show you the card I made yesterday for Julia's Ways to Use it Challenge on Splitcoast. We were to use mostly green on our card...... I used six different colors of green ink to create the background and stamp the trees. The colors were sponged on the vanilla cardstock, the script stamp was stamped using water misted on the stamp, and then Perfect Pearls and water was spritzed over the entire area and dried with a heat tool. The trees were then stamped, sewing and distressing were done around the edges, and the sentiment, Prima poinsettias, lace, and ribbon finish it off. All the stamps are from Rubbernecker Stamps.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Pine Trees, Script Background, Sentiment
Paper: Vanilla, Old Olive, Hunter Green
Ink: Ranger Crushed Olive, Pine Needles, Peeled Paint. Stampin Up! True Thyme, Old Olive, and River Rock
Accessories: Prima Poinsettias and leaf, Nestabilities, Ribbon, Sewing Machine, Lace

The script and dove images from Gina K's Blessed is the Season were stamped with Versamark and embossed with white ep. The snowflake and the sentiment were stamped with Night of Navy onto the Bashful Blue cardstock. The snowflake was also stamped on the inside and on the envie, too. The silver ribbon finishes it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Gina K Designs Blessed is the Season
Paper: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, White
Ink: Versamark, Night of Navy
Accessories: Nestabilities, Silver Ribbon, White Embossing Powder
My DH loves Crysal Light so we have lots of these containers. I started collecting them a few months ago because I just knew they could be used for something!!! I'm glad I did because they were decorated, filled with candy, and I thought they were to be sold at the craft sale. However, most of them were sold at the church yesterday!!! I guess I better make a lot more for next year...LOL!!!

I used a variety of Christmas papers, ribbons, lace, gold pearls, stamps, and stickers to make these and more that I didn't photograph. The paper was secured on the container with score tape and a tag was attached to the top. This was such a fun project...I might have to start making more of these next week for the 2011 craft sale!!!
Thanks for stopping by....I'll show you more things I made for the craft sale tomorrow......hope you have a great weekend!!!!

Christmas Card Sets

Good morning everyone....it's a little chilly here this morning but it will warm up soon. Fall is in the air....the trees are starting to loose their leaves and it's time for me to plant my pansies!! Pansies are hardy little flowers...they will bloom all winter!! My neighbor just finished planting a winter garden...they will have vegies again in Dec/Jan and I will have a few tomatos in a month or so. Anyway....I thought I would show you a few of the card sets I have been working on for the church craft sale. I just love the skaters from the Stampin Up! set called Winter Post...the images were all watercolored and the papers are retired Stampin Up.
These were left over kits from a Christmas swap I went to last year. The tree is from Papertrey Ink and the paper is from Karen Foster.

The bird images from Impression Obsession were watercolored and glitter was added to the holly berries.
I tried to keep all the designs flat so they could be mailed easily...now that's no easy trick for this embelishment hound!!!!
Thanks for visiting.....I'll have more sets tomorrow!!

Staying Cool With Winter Cards!!

Good morning everyone!! We had such a great time this weekend...I shopped till I dropped...seriously!!! I found several Christmas gifts and decorations....must be why the first stamps I picked up when we got home were Christmas stamps...LOL!!! Besides, what better way to stay cool than to think snow, snowflakes, and snowmen!!
I used the adorable Tweet Winter Wishes set from Our Craft Lounge for my first card...I also used the sketch from the Friday DT sketch Challenge #29 (OCLDT29) over on the Our Craft Lounge Blog. BTW, I won their August Sketch Challenge and a free OCL stamp set.....Whoohoo!!!
The fence image was masked and then the clouds were sponged on. The image was colored with copics and glitter was added to the snow. The snowman was colored with copics, glittered up, cutout, and attached with dimensionals. Snowflakes from the same set were stamped on the background dp and the silk ribbon finished it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: OCL Tweet Winter Wishes
Paper: White, Riding Hood Red, Basic Grey Dasher dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Bashful Blue, Vivid Aqua
Accessories: Glitter, Silk Ribbon, Copics, Nestabilities, Dimensionals

Isn't this snowman cute...it's a new stamp I bought from Impressions Rubberstamps. He was stamped with Palette Noir Black, colored with copics, and Stickles was added to the hat rim. Stickles was also added to the wood flourish, sewing was done around the background edge, and a sparkly snowflake and ribbon finish it off. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Vintage Ornaments set.
Resipe: Stamps: Impress Rubberstamps, PTI Vintage Ornaments
Paper: White, Black, Riding Hood red, October Afternoon's Good Cheer dp. SEI Christmas dp

Taylored Expressions Black Friday Blog Hop

Hello everyone...I am super excited today because I was asked my Taylor to participate in her Black Friday Blog Hop today...Whoohoo!!!

Her challenge to us was to decorate her Perfect Package to hold a set of cards or use it to wrap a holiday gift you’ll be giving this season!

I used the darling images from Taylored Expressions Wings of Joy set to decorate the Perfect Package and the cards. The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics.

The tree on the Perfect Package was cutout and attached with foam tape. The birds and ornaments were all stamped twice, colored, cutout, and popped up. Taylor's Tiny Twinkles were added for a little glam. Glitter was added to the large birds hat and the Tiny Twinkles were added to the snowflake. The paper is SEI's Chocolate Mint and the Wild Wasabi ribbon, buttons, Spellbinder's scalloped border and the silver cording finish it off.

I made four cards to add to the box...this is going to a very special person as a thank you for bring sooo wonderful to me and my family!!

The stockings on this card were popped up and Taylors Tiny Twinkles were added to the centers.

The sentiment was stamped on the Spellbinder's die shape and the Wild Wasabi ribbon and Spellbinder's scallop border finish it off.

I used the same colors, papers, and embellies on all the cards but tried to come up with different designs.

The last three cards use more of the SEI Chocolate Mint patterned paper...this is my new favorite paper (sorry Eskimo Kisses!!)!!!

Large red rhinestones were used on the holly berries and Tiny Twinkles on the sentiment die.

White Flower Soft was added to the bird house and May Arts silk ribbon was added to the bottom two cards.

Christmas Cards

Hello everyone...I have been MIA all weekend taking care of Grandkiddos...our new little DGS was admitted to the hospital on his 1 week birthday so we have been taking care of his brothers. Jacob was discharged today much better but his poor parents, grandparents , and great grandparents are a wreck!!! It's sooo heartbreaking to see a tiny baby sick and suffering but all is better now so we can all get back to normal.
I made these cards last week but didn't have time to upload them. This wonderful winter scene is an Inkadinkado stamp from Stamper's Dream. It was stamped with Chocolate Chip and highlighted with Handsome Hunter onto Kraft cs and the frame was created with Nesties dies with Handsome Hunter cs. The background paper is Basic Grey's Wassail and the distressing, Prima Poinsettias, and punched ferns finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Inkadinkado, Sentiment from Snow Swirled
Paper: Kraft, Ruby red,Handsome Hunter, Basic Grey's Wassail dp
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Hunter Green
Accessories: Nestabilities, Prima Poinsettias, Martha Stewart Fern Punch, Gold Pearls, Dimensionals

I am going to the Austin Area Christmas Swap on Dec. 5th and I have been trying to come up with a swap card. This one was my second card...I'm not going to use this one because I didn't have enough of the dp so it will go into my Christmas card box ...a great flat card for mailing. I will bring home around 40 cards from the swap so I won't have to make too many more...Whoohoo!!!
The tree image from the Snow Swirled set was stamped with Handsome Hunter and a few gold balls were added to the snowflakes. Pretty simple but easy to mass produce.
Recipe:
Stamps: Snow Swirled
Paper: Ruby Red, Vanilla, The Paper Studio dp
Ink: Handsome Hunter
Accessories: Nestabilities, Ribbon, Gold Pearls, SU borser Punch, Cuttlebug and Christmas Ornaments Embossing Folder

Christmas in August!!!

What a fun Sunday afternoon...I stamped till I couldn't stand any more!!!! I have had a sheet of Penny Black Christmas stickers for a while and finally decided to make a few cards. Whisper White was used for all the base cards and most of the stickers were matted with black and real red.
A variety of Merry Christmas sentiment stamps were used....Papertrey Ink, Stampin Up!, Little Paper Shop, and Stampendous.
I think the penguin card is my favorite....Martha Stewart's new Snowflake Border punch was used at the bottom and a felt snowflake finishes it off.

The ribbons are all from Stampin Up!, May Arts, and Hobby Lobby and I used up some of my Stampin Up dp scraps from last year!!. The details on this set include a white felt snowflake with a rhinestone center, white pearls, and silver pearls.

Stampin Up's new flocked Christmas paper was used on the reindeer card and a row of silver pearls finish off the one on the right.
Tomorrow I will use up more of my scraps to make some Christmas card sets for my church to sell at the Christmas bazaar in October.
Thanks for visiting today....have a great Sunday evening!!!
