Moxie Fab with a Mojo Flair

Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger
Good morning everyone....hope all is well in your little corner of the world!!! We had a lunchen at the church to celebrate the successful craft fair. We made enough money to send a large donation to the Methodist Children's Home and to buy mittens and scarves for our adopted grade school. We keep their supply closet full of extra school supplies and coats/mittens/scarves for needy children. Anyway....
This is my card for the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger using the Mojo Monday #214 sketch. I took my inspiratin from the bracelet's colors and flowers...Echo Park's Country Drive paper was used along with a doily sponged with So Saffron. The flower and leaves were made with Spellbinder's dies using Pool Party and So Saffron cardstock. The pearls and sentiment fron Verve  finish it off.

This is also for a few other challenges:
1. Crafting for All Seasons - texture (I used texture on the doily, flower and leaves)
2. Create Me Pink - flower
3.CCEE Challenge - use 3 different shapes
4. Crafty Ann's Challenge - floral frenzy

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a great day!!!!

Finesse the Dress

Good morning everyone!! Boy, am I lazy this morning....I slept late (I guess you could call 7:30am late??) and have been comatose on the couch. I really need to get outside and do a little raking and weeding but first I want to share a card I made for the Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger challenge....it's been ages since I've visited their blog and when I saw the dress inspiration, I just had to play. It did take me quite a while to find the right teal color....the flower and butterfly were made from a scrap of SEI's Citruskick dp and the   Waltzingmouse's sketch challenge #68 was used for the layout.
Recipe: Stamps: Rubbernecker Sentiment
Paper: White, Basic Gray, SEI dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Old Button, PTI Flower die, PTI Leaf die, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch

This was also for a few other challenges:
1. Flutterby Wednesday - use your scraps
2. Anything Goes Challenge - diecuts and/or punches
3. Papertake Weekly Challenge - use at least three different shapes
4. Top Tip Tuesday Challenge - use designer paper
5. Kaboodle Doodles Challenge - leaves

A Rose is a Rose

Good morning everyone!!! I hope you have had a great week...mine has been busy with lots of *stuff*. I did get to see The Help which was an awesome movie!! I really want to read the book, now...I have been bookless for a few days and I am really bummed!! Do any of you have a suggestions for good reading?? Anyway....I did a little stamping last night for the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger using one of my favorite Rubbernecker Stamps...Rose #SKU:529-02. Garden Green and Tempting Turquoise markers were used to color the stamp before stamping it on white cardstock. It was then colored with reinkers and an aqua painter. The background is a diecut cut from Garden Green cardstock with a Tim Holtz Sizzix die and it was embossed with the dotted swiss embossing folder.  Sewing was done around the background white layer and it was also embossed with the fleur de lis folder.

This is also for a few other challenges:
1. Four Crafty Chicks - embossing
2. Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge - flowers
3. Sweet Stamps  - stitching

For this card I used the Rose image again...it was stamped on patterned paper, cutout with oval Nestabilities, and colored with Copics. The background was created using Rubbernecker's Wild Garden Frame #SKU: 515-03 . It was stamped on the Prism Frosted Orange cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black and glamed up with some lace, a black diecut flourish, gold cording, black pearls, and a corrugated buttefly.

This is for a few challenges:
1. Little Miss Muffet Challenge - things with wings (butterfly)
2. Flutterby Wednesday - anything goes as long as it has a butterfly, angel, or fairy
3. Anything Goes Challenge blog - vintage/shabby chic

Aren't these just the cutest little brown eggs evah!!!!! We gather about 5-6 a day now and they are getting bigger. In a couple of weeks we will start feeding the younger hens (Rhode Islend Reds) the special laying feed and then they will start laying eggs. With 35 hens, we should have plenty of eggs to share with family and friends...tooo fun!!

Thanks for stopping by...have a wonderful Friday!!!!

Hanging Around

Good morning everyone!! Can you believe this is the last weekend in June?? Where have the days gone?? I was kinda non productive today....that sounds better than lazy!!!!!! I had a fun day yesterday... did nothing but stamp...Whoohoo!!! I call that a real productive day...LOL!!! Anyway....The Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger picture was great inspiration!! I don't normally work with grays so this was a real stretch for me!!

I just love the wonkey layout in the picture and used it as inspiration for my card along with similar colored papers, distressing, ribbon tabs, and sewing. The adorable Lemur stamp from Rubbernecker was colored with copics, cutout, and popped up with foam dots. The coordinating sentiment was stamped on the patterned paper.

Recipe: Stamps: Rubbernecker Lemur stamp #SKU 569-16 and sentiment #SKU 568-16 Paper: White, Basic Gray, Stampin Up! dp, unknown dp Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Accessories: Sewing Machine, Ribbons

I made this card for the Inspiration Challenge yesterday on Splitcoast. Stef picked a great site called Sundance and when I saw the colors on this Mt. Timpanogos t-shirt, I thought about a winter wonderland!! I have been on a Christmas and winter card roll this week because it's been sooo hot!!!! The Stamp Oasis tree image from Rubbernecker called Snowy Night was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa, colored with aqua pastels, and aqua pearls were added to the shining stars. The background Cosmo Cricket dp was distressed, sponged, and sewing was done around the edges. A felt snowflake, lace, stick pins, seam binding, button, and Baker's Twine finish it off.
Recipe: Stamps: Rubbernecker's Stamp Oasis Snowy Night #SKU: 1691 SO, Paper: Vanilla, Cosmo Cricket dp, Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Accessories: Stick Pins, Seam Binding, Button, Twine, Pearls, Felt Snowflake, Sewing Machine, Lace, Nestabilities

Thanks for stopping by tonight....now I'm off to visit a few of my favorite blogs!!

More New Rubbah!!

Good morning everyone....I was down to 3 Grands yesterday until my son called. He wanted to take his wife out on a date last night so he brought his 3 boys over. Talk about a wild household with 6 kiddos!! The 18 month old was just too quick for this old grandma...he scampered up on the chairs and table within seconds and then tried to jump off....We decided next time we would put some weights in the diaper...LOL!!! Anyway....It's time for another Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger.

I have been playing with my new Rubbernecker rubbah..... I just love the Vintage Kids stamps!!!

This one is called Jesse...he was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa, lightly colored with Copics, and sponged with Crumb Cake. The paper inside the Spellbinders Frame is Bo Bunny's Butterfly Garden and the ribbons, lace, seam binding, and brad finish it off.

Recipe: Stamps: Rubbernecker Jesse, Paper: Vanilla, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Pure Luxury Dark Chocolate, Bo Bunny Butterfly Garden, Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Crumb Cake, Accessories: Ribbon, Spellbinders/Nestabilities dies, Copics, Seam binding, Pearl Brad

Thanks for stopping by ...hope you have a super FABULOUS day!!!

Tuesday Trigger on Friday

Good morning everyone!! It's been a while since I've done a Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger challenge but when I saw this gorgeous picture, I knew I had to get inky!! I had a little trouble matching the blue....Night of Navy was too dark and Pacific Point was too turquoise.

I finally settled on Not Quite Navy and a new background stamp from Rubbernecker called Toile Panel #SKU:527. The sentiment is from RN's Party Time set #SKU:439 and it was layered on the Fancy tags Nestabilities diecut. The silk bow and flowers finish it off.

Thanks for visiting!! I am headed to the shower so I can get ready for the last of the end of the year programs for my Grands....the kids are all so happy that school is out but I can't say the same thing for the Moms and Dads...LOL!!! Have a great day!!!

Porch Play Inspiration

Good morning everyone....hope you are having a great week!!! I am going to take Mom and Dad to a nursery this morning to pick out a couple of bushes. They have a planter on the south side of their house that needs a little color...hope we can find something that will withstand the 100+ degree summer weather with full sun!! Their backyard looks sooo pretty with all the blooming iris and amarillas....I just love Spring!! Anyway....

I was really inspired by the Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger Porch Play...such beautiful colors!!! I used the Card Positioning System's #213 sketch and Incy Wincy Designs Challenge to use flowers, also.

The Papertrey Ink Green Thumb flower images were stamped on white cardstock .... the flower and flowerpot were stamped twice and popped up on foam dots. Sewing was done around the background blocks and buttons and twine finish it off.

Recipe: Stamps: PTI Green Thumb, Paper: White, Tempting Turquoise, Memory Box Brioche dp, Ink: Certainly Celery, Poppy Parade, More Mustard, So Saffron, Accessories: Buttons, Baker's Twine, MS Butterfly Punch, Sewing Machine, Nestabilities

Home Tweet Home

Hello everyone....I finally got my card made for today's Free 4 All challenge on Splitcoast...Jeanne wanted us to make a card or project that was someone's home....the home could belong to a bird, person, dog, etc.

I used the Woodware set called Birdsong...stamped the cage with Tangerine Tango three times onto the Memory Box dp called Brioche. One of the cages was cutout and popped up and then the top from the third one was cutout and popped up. The birds were stamped on a scrap of Daisy D's dp, cutout and popped up on the branch and birdcage. The seam binding, button, and twine finish it off. This is also for the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger using the picture above as inspiration. I used the colors and wrinkled effect as my inspiration...tooo fun!!!

Recipe: Stamps: Woodware Birdsong, Paper: White, Tangerine Tango, Memory Box dp called Brioche, Ink: Tangerine Tango, Memento Rich Cocoa, Accessories: Button, Twine, Seam Binding

Good morning everyone...hope you are having a great Saturday!!! I have to work a few hours today but wanted to upload this first...the bright colors will make me happy all day!!! This is for the Moxie Fab World's Citrus Celebration Challenge....my green isn't really lime but this is as close as I could get...oh well...two out of the three colors isn't too bad...LOL!!!! It's also for the Inspiration challenge on Splitcoast...Stef picked an awesome site called Ruche and I found inspiration from this fabulous top.
The sentiment and butterfly are from Rubbernecker's Butterflies are Free set...the butterfly was colored with copics, the leaves were cutout of the Prism Intense Mint cardstock with a Stampin Up! die, and the felt flower and the rick rack were cutout with a MFT's Die-namics, and the Maya Road chipboard was first colored with white acrylic paint and them colored with a So Saffron marker. The Candy Dot for the flower center and sewing around the background edge are the finishing touches.

Creative Belli Challenge #113

Welcome to another Creative Belli Challenge!! The challenge this two weeks is to use anything that starts with a C on your project!! This can include chipboard, critters, coffee images, coral, candy, Christmas stuff, cats......what ever your little heart desires!!! I created a cityscape and used the celebrate sentiment rub-on!! Be sure to use something old and forgotten from your stash, too...the Belli Challenge is all about using your old stuff and forgotten treasures!!!

This is also for the Cityscapes Are On the Rise Challenge in the Moxie Fab World challenge and a few others:

Clear it Out Tuesday Challenge - use buttons
Ooh La La Creations - it's a man thing
I Did It Challenge - masking
Paper Sundae's Challenge - keep it simple
Pile it On - use green and orange
One Stop Craft Challenge - clean and simple

My card today is a masculine design...the background was created by first, masking off half of the image and brayering Spiced Marmalade and Barn Door Distress inks on the sky. Then the masking was reversed to mask off the sky and Broken China and Pine Needles were brayered on the opposit end to create the water. Rubbernecker's Skyline stamp was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black at the horizon line and the black twine, button, and rub-on sentiment finish it off.

Be sure to stop by the other Belli Girls blogs to see what they made for you today....you will find lots of awesome inspiration!!! If you upload a card to Splitcoast , PCP, Stamp TV or another online gallery be sure to add CBC113 in the keywords section.

Happily Ever After

Hello everyone....first I want to say that my heart goes out to the people of Japan and all the those who have been effected by the earthquake and Tsunami that occured today...what a tragedy!!! My BFF's son and his family love outside Tokyo...I'm praying for their safety!!!

You won't believe I actually got up early this morning and went to help my Dad rake leaves and clean out his flower bed. I am all invirgorated, now, since I got a dose of the fresh morning air...hope my body doesn't go into shock...LOL!!!! Anyway...I'm back home safe in my craft room getting inky. I made a card for the Tuesday Trigger on the Moxie Fab World Blog...aren't the colors pretty!!!...and today's Free 4 All Challenge on Splitcoast to decorate the edges of our cards.
I made a wedding card for a friend's DD...sewing was done around the edges of the patterned paper and then Diamond Stickles was added for a little sparkle. The felt flowers were made with MFT's rolled flower Die-namics and the ribbon, orange flower centers, doily, and sticker sentiment finish it off. This also qualifies for yesterday's Ways to Use Challenge on Splitcoast to use felt.
Recipe:
Paper: Prima dp called Annalee, White Accessories: Sentiment Chipboard Sticker from Cosmo Cricket's Ever After, Pebbles Candy Dots and Orange Flower Jewel, Felt from MFT, Doily, Sewing Machine, Diamond Stickles, Martha Stewart Leaf Punch

I also entered this in a few other challenges:

Flower Power

Good morning everyone!!! It's a beautiful Saturday morning and I'm going outside to play in the dirt!! I could stay in the house and sweep floors, wash clothes, and dust but I think I'll pass and hope my fairy Godmother will clean while I'm outside....well, a girl can dream can't she??? I had some time last night to do a little fun stamping....this last week was full of hops and other DT obligations so it was really fun to play *just cause*!!!!
I made this card for the Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger - Flower Power. My colors don't match perfectly but I think you can see the resemblance to the trigger pillow. I used the flower stamp from Stampin Up's Fifth Ave Floral and the leaves are from Studio 490's Ticket to Art set. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Birthday basics set and the papers included Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Really Rust, amd Perfect Plum.
Thanks for visiting today and I hope you get to do something fun this weekend!!!!!

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger and the Featured Stamper Challenge

The Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger this week is the Deconstructed Rose Pillow Cover from West Elm
Hello everyone...are you watching a little football??? I'm really excited to see the Steelers ahead at halftime 24 - 3...Whoohoo!!! Anyway...I did a little stamping during the Chicago/Green Bay game....I wanted to make a card for Card Patterns Sketch challenge and the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger. It's been a while since I joined in the Tuesday Trigger fun!!
Layers of Color Art Stamps is the sponser of Card Patterns Sketch #99 this week so I just had to play along!!!
My card features stamps from the Layers of Color Touch of Elegance set and a sentiment from their Sent With Love set.
The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia onto the My Minds Eye Bella Bella dp and embossed with clear embossing powder. The image from Touch of Elegance was stamped over the sentiment with PTI's Chamomile ink. More images were stamped on the Fancy Pants dp with Versafine Vintage Sepia...they were stamped off once for a muted look and then the image under the sentiment layer was stamped darker to create the top of the sentiment layer. The background layers were sewn together, the top was scalloped with an EK Success punch, and the ribbon and rose trim finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: LOC Touch of Elegance and Sent With Love
Papers: Sahara sand, Fancy Pants Bouquet dp, My Minds Eye Bella Bella dp
Ink: Versafine Vintage Sepia, Chamomile
Accessories: Nestabilities, EK Success Scallop Border Punch, Ribbon, Rose Trim, Sewing Machine, Clear EP

This is the card I made today for Splitcoast's Featured Stamper Challenge...today's FS is Emily (Artsy_EM). This was the first time for me to look in her gallery and I gotta tell ya...it was FABULOUS!!! It was hard to choose but finally decided to case the Stitched Daisy card....I kept the same design but changed the stamps, added the ribbon to the button, and used Tempting Turquoise instead of the Bazzill cardstock. The Rubbernecker Bold Ornament stamp was stamped with Versamark and embossed with white ep. The sentiment, also from Rubbernecker, was stamped with black and the button with the dotted ribbon is the only embellishment.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Bold Ornament, Stamp Oasis Petite Word Set
Paper: White, Pure Luxury Kraft, Tempting Turquoise
Ink: Versamark, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Button, Ribbon, White ep
Thanks for visiting...I have got to get back to the football game...the Jets just made a TD...yikes!!!!!

Moxie Fab World Trigger Valentine

This is the Moxie Fab World Tuesday trigger and I found inspiration in the colors and the pretty strings of colorful circles. I made my inspiration into a Valentine just because I am obsessed with them this week!!! I used stickers and chipboard hearts from K&Co along with Baker's Twine and a heart button. Toooo simple and just tooo fun!!!

This is a Victorian style Valentine using diecuts from K&CO along with lace, ribbon, button, twine, and a heart stick pin. Lace sponging (using lace as a stencil, sponge Fresh Snow ink over it to create the lace design in the background) was done on the kraft cardstock and the ticket is the sentiment.
I took down a few Christmas decorations yesterday and then went to my parents home to dismantle their Christmas village...Mom and Dad have the Dicken's houses and they look sooo pretty all lit up in the evening!!
Have a great Saturday and be sure to do something fun today.....call a friend, bake some cookies, cuddle a baby.....make a difference to someone special!!!!

Glitter is Glam!!!

Hello everyone and happy Friday!!! First...drum roll please.....I finished my Christmas decorating!!! Whoohoo!!! The tree is up and all the nooks and crannys are glammed up with Santas, Snowmen, Angels, and lots of sparkle!!! Speaking of sparkle....check out the latest challenge on the Moxie Fab World Blog....it's all about Glitter is Glam!! We are to use glitter in innovative ways. I should enter my face and clothes cause I look mighty sparkly after working with glitter all evening...LOL!!!
On my first card I used scalloped sticker strips....added them to the dp, removed the paper, and added the glitter. The snowflake sticker is from the Tinsel and Twig collection by The Girls Paperie and the sentiment is from the Gingerbread Man set by Imaginisce Snag'em Stamps.
Recipe:
Stamps: Gingerbread Man by Snag'em stamps
Paper: Real Red, Old Olive, Basic Grey
Ink: Old Olive
Accessories: Scalloped Sticky Strips, Snowflake sticker, Bakers Twine, Round Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Glitter

I used a Martha Stewart sticky wreath from her Glittered Botanical Card Kit and the dark green glitter from the same kit. My DD gave me the kit a year or so ago to use when the Grands come over and want to play in Grandma's craft room...silly girl!!! I usually hide the glitter from the little darlings...LOL!!! The tricky part was trying to get all the excess glitter off the card!! Rhinestones and the sentiment from Waltzingmouse's Complements of the Season stamp set finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Waltzingmouse
Paper: Real Red, White, Prism Classic Green
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Martha Stewart Botanical Card Kit, Rhinestones
I used the Martha Stewart Botanical Card Kit on this card, too, and stickers from Tinsel and Twigs sticker book were used for the sentiment......pretty simple but I love the sparkle!!

Thanks for dropping by....I hope you have a great start to your weekend!!!
