Color Throwdown Challenge #316

Hello everyone!! Can you believe Halloween is this Friday!!!! Where has this year gone??? Monika is our Color Throwdown hostess this week and when I saw her color combo, I knew I wanted to make a Halloween card....now I have all the grands cards finished.....Woot!!!

My card features the cute little Dracula from the Paper Smooches  Spookalicious set...it was paper pieced with a scrap piece of Halloween dp and the hair and eyes were colored with copics. The cloud/moon/bats image is a sticker from Echo Park and the sentiment from the same PS set was stamped on a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock and cut out with Say What? Conversation Bubbles die from Taylored Expressions.  Since this will go to one of my Grandsons I didn't add any girly details....gotta have it look spooky...LOL!!!

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD316 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

Color Throwdown Challenge #315

Hello everyone!!! We had a busy weekend with the second church garage sale (everything was 1/2 price this weekend) and my cousins were here visiting from Iowa. They left yesterday for Denver to visit their grandson and then back home. We ate out every day...pizza, KFC, burgers, Tex-Mex....I think I'm ready for some good old home cooking. Not sure who is going to cook but we will figure that out later...LOL!!! Anyway....

It's Wednesday so that means it's time for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!!! It's sweet Jodi's week to host and don't you just love the pretty fall colors she picked!!! My green is a little bright so put on your shades before you go any further!!!!

I pulled out my Reverse Confetti Forever Fall stamp set plus several RC dies along with the SFYTT #17 sketch for my card today. The sentiment was stamped with Cajun Craze onto the vanilla cardstock and cut out with the RC banner die from the Tag Me die set. The Doin' the Wave dies were used to cut out the yellow wavy diecuts and the circle was cut with one of the Circle 'n Scallops dies. The heart was stamped with So Saffron, cutout and popped up with a foam dot. The acorn was stamped with Cajun Craze, cutout, and popped up on the heart..... the twine and sewing on the background paper finishes it off.

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD315 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

Hello everyone!!! I was playing around with some of my Taylored Expressions dies and came up with this fun little scene.

I used Summer Lovin dp by Catra Bella for the background....the clouds were cut using the TE Cloud Duo die set and the grass was cut with the TE Build a Scene - Rolling Hills die.  The TE Birch Tree Cutting Plate was used to cut the trees out of Chocolate Truffle card stock...it was adhered over the clouds and rolling hills. The nest, birds, and eggs were all cut with dies from the TE Bless Your Nest set and the sentiment from the Welcome Home stamp set was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa on the Sugar Cube card stock and cut with a Label Stacklets 9 die.  The black pearls were added for the birds eyes and beaks were cut out of a scrap of yellow card stock.

Thanks for stopping by...I'm going to head out early to the grocery store this morning. Not many people shop early so I may have the store to myself!!! I hate to fight the crouds and wait in line....I'm not a very patient person, I'm afraid!!

Have a great day!!!!

Anyway...

It's Wednesday and time for another Color Throwdown Challenge!! Lori is our hostess and I love the soft, pretty colors she picked!!
