Hello everyone....this is such an exciting day because we have adopted another rescue horse. She is a beautiful Morgan named Sundance and she came from the same herd as our first rescue horse, Midnight. We got Midnight last February and 3 days later she delivered a colt but he died shortly after birth because of poor health due to her terrible living conditions. Sundance delivered her filly in March but the people who adopted her only wanted the baby so we brought Sundance home....can you believe some people!!!
Sundance has a reddish coat and is a little taller than Midnight but you can see how skinny she is. Midnight has gained back about 40 lbs and is in much better health so now we have to work on Sundance!!
This picture shows how skinny she is...
They are sniffing each other and will soon decide who will be the dominate one. Midnight, on the right, is all filled out and really looks solid. Sundance will need a few months of TLC and good grazing to fill out again.

Joan!!! That is SO exciting! I want to be you when I grow up! ... how wonderful of you to adopt these pretty girls!!
How wonderful that she has found a new home with you! Both horses are beautiful, and I'm sure that Sundance will be fit in no time! That really is sad that the people wanted her baby and not her and this is how she was treated. :(
Joan, you and George are such special people to adopt large animals. I know they take a lot of work, and I think that Sundance is just the luckiest horse around today!
