Under the Big Tent!!

Hello everyone!! Hope all is well with you and yours!! I had to work today but my wonderful husbant took me out to eat tonight...we went to a German restaurant and boy, was the food good!!!! We had jagerschnitzel and spaetzle....yummm!!! I probably gained 5 pounds tonight but it was worth it!!! Anyway.....
I made this fun circus card for Saturday's Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast..... the step by step instructions are listed below. I found my inspiration from the super cute circus plates...this is for my grandson who will have a birthday soon.

1. Cut the red cardstock 9" x 4" and score at 4 ½"; fold to make the card base; opening will be on the right
2. Cut blue cardstock 4"x4" and glue to center front
3. Cut two pieces of red cardstock 3/4 “ x 4", dry emboss, and glue to right and left sides of front.
4. Cut image from patterned paper, glue to matting, and then glue to center front. Attach star, stickers, and tickets.
5. Top: cut 4" x 4" piece of red cardstock and cut in half at opposite corners to create a triangle
6. Cut two pieces of vanilla cardstock 1" x 4". Cut them into triangles using the two corner points of one end and the middle point of the other end. Attach to red triangle matching the points at the top and cut off excess at the bottom. Attach scalloped border and rick rack. Glue the tent top to card base and trim off the corners of the card base to match the angle of the top (you can see the clipped corners on the inside picture). Cut out flag and attach between the layers at the top point.

7. Attach the stickers, diecut white piece for the sentiment, and patterned paper to the inside.
Recipe:
Paper: Vanilla, Real Red, Baja Breeze, Balancing Act dp by TaDa Creative Studios
Accessories: Ticket Adhesive Border Strip from Imaginisce, K&Co Star Stickers

Dotted Swiss Embossing Folder, Martha Stewart Crafts Scalloped Border Punch, Rick Rack, Nestabilities

Thanks for visiting today...have a happy hump day!!!

Oh Joan, this is such a fun, cute card, your grandson will just be thrilled with this card! Thanks for the info on how to make it, I know just the little boy to make it for, ( not mine, he is 20) :) That food sounds wonderful, haven't had German food in forever, now I have a craving. Yummy.
