Color Throwdown #183

Good morning everyone!!! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another Color Throwdown Challenge!! The wonderfully talented Wanda  is our hostess this week and she has picked some beautiful colors for us to create with!!

My card features the beautiful Simone...a KK Originals Stamp #SKU:33-08 KK from Rubbernecker Stamps and the Mojo Monday Sketch # 232. Her face was colored with copics and she was paper pieced with Stella Rose designer papers from My Minds Eye..... the same papers were used in the background. The embossed layer of kraft card stock was distressed with vanilla pigment ink and a resin flower from Prima was added to the flowers on the hat. The sentiment is from Rubbernecker's Fashion Icons set #455 and the scallop die is from My Favorite Things. .
Recipe:
Stamps: KK Originals Simone and Rubbernecker's Fashion Icons set #455
Paper: Kradt, Certainly Celery (for the leaves on the hat) My Minds Eye Stella Rose dp
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Papertrey Ink's Vintage Cream
Accessories: Ribbon, Resin Flower, Scallop die, Embossing Folder,

This is also for Stamp and Create's Challenge to do paper piecing and the Corrosive Challenge to use paper piecing.

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors to play along...use what ever you have that is similar to the challenge colors. Be sure to add CTD183 to the keywords when you upload your card to an online gallery so we can find your work!!

Oh wow...you really rocked the colors in this gorgeous card, Joan! LOVE that image and wish I could pull off the wearing of hats! After a short while, hats annoy me and I'm pulling them off my head - lol!

This looks fabulous, Joan, and i love the way you use paper-piecing in your designs, you make me want to use that technique more.

How are you feeling now after your poorly post at the weekend? Hope you are much better. CoB
