Welcoming Spring With Flowers and Butterflies

Good Friday morning everyone!! It's a beautiful day in Central Texas....I can't wait to get outside and work in the flower beds!! I need to make a trip to the nursery this morning to replace some of the flowers that froze during our 14 degree weather!! My cousin and his wife are here visiting my parents this week so we will meet them for lunch later this morning....they have been golfing in the afternoons. They are from Iowa and snow is still on the ground there so they are lovin this wonderful Spring weather ....anyway...on with the show. This is the Tuesday Trigger on the Moxie Fab World Blog....I just love yellow and black together so this was a fun project!!
The Wildflower image and Thank You sentiment from Rubbernecker were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black...the wildflower image was stamped on the Webster's Pages dp and sewing was done around three edges of the layer. The Maya Road chipboard frame was covered with white acrylic paint and when dry, it was colored with a yellow copic. The edges were distressed with black dye ink and rolled felt flowers and punched butterflies finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Wildflower #496-03, Rubbernecker Thank You sentiment # 25-22
Paper: White, Black, Webster's Pages Life's Portrait
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Felt, Rolled Flower Dies from MFT's, Black Pearls, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Sewing Machine
This is also for a few other challenges:
1. Craft Us Crazy - nature theme
2. Paper Play Challenges - shabby chic/vintage
3. Pixie Dust Studio - polka dots
4. Creative Inspirations - in the garden
5. Fab n Funky Challenge - Spring into action

So beautiful, Joan! Sometimes black and yellow can look stark, but your soft yellow looks amazing next to the black, and with the pink accents too it's just lovely. Fab layout of all the elements as well. CoB
