Mother's Love

Good morning everyone!! Hope all is well with you and yours!!  I had some time to stamp yesterday so I made a card for Splitcoast's Ways to Use it Challenge to make faux tiles. ....I used Julie Warner's tutorial for my faux tile background. The white cardstock was scored and then the retired Stampin Up! background (sorry, I don't know the name) was stamped over the negative scored side. The image was colored with copics and then each square was masked off on the inside of the score lines and sponged with Memento Desert Sand. The ribbon, flowers, and pearl flourish finish it off.
Recipe: Stamps: Stampin Up!
Paper: White, Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Memento Desert Sand
Accessories: Silk Ribbon, Primas, Pearl Flourish, Score Pal

This is also for  a few other challenges:
1. Little Miss Muffet Challenge - girly girl
2. Moving Along With the Times - vintage
3. Stampin B's  - scoring
4. Kaboodle Doodles - squares or inchies
5. The Pink Elephant - scoring
6. Heart Song Inspirations - flowers or felt

Thanks for dropping by....I'm off to the shower and then to the grocery store. Not too exciting but I am going to buy a little chocolate....that will get my heart pumping a little faster...Whoohoo!!!!

Oh my gosh, Joan! I could look at this for hours! It is gorgeous! I've seen tile work before but each square was individual pieces and coated with glossy, but I love this technique with the scored lines. This is in my "gotta try it" file! Amazing!

Simply stunning! When I first started following your blog I remember you did a faux tile card and I liked the technique, but of course I never got round to doing it, but I really must try because it looks marvellous. Brill job, Joan, this is beautiful. CoB
