I used the faux embossing technique on my card today. You can see the tutorial for this technique on the Rubbernecker Blog. Fired Brick Ranger Distress Ink was sponged on the white cardstock and then it was stamped using the How Do I Love Thee stamp misted with water and dried with the heat tool. Since the Distress inks are water based, stamping with water will lift the color and leave a white impression when dry. The Poinsettia was stamped three times with the Fried Brick, once on the background and twice on a piece of white cardstock and embossed with clear ep. The poinsettias on the white cs were colored with Fried Brick using the ink pad and an aqua pen, both poinsettias and the background were misted with Perfect Pearls mixed with water. When dry, the poinsettias were then cut out and layered on top of the one stamped on the background, attached with dimensionals, and pearls were added to the centers. The sentiment was stamped with Black Soot and the ribbon and pearls finish it off.

Your card is gorgeous! My favorite technique lately is the Emerging Color technique. I'd love to see what you all could come up with for that technique!
Gorgeous card, Mom! My favorite technique is the polished stone background with the alcohol inks. So much fun, and no two are ever the same.
My favorits technique changes frequently but this week it is "Faux Embossing". That makes such a neat effect. Thanks for this opportunity

Beautiful card! My "favoritest" technique would have to be embossing resist, but a close second is paper piecing. I love Rubbernecker images...so glad your great blog is on the Rubbernecker list! ;0) Thanks for the chance!

I love embossing and also using water colors. I tend to use it a bit too much sometimes.

I love how the petals curl up and that background paper you use is perfect! my favorite stamping technique is heat embossing--although it can be a little messy, you can do such cool things with it, like resist for example. What a gorgeous card! My favorite technique is any kind of embossing - heat, dry or with my Cuttlebug. It just makes for a WOW reaction from the recipient.

Wow, absolutely gorgeous! Beside using my CB for embossing, my fav technique (right now) is head embossing in gold. Of course, next week I'm sure it'll be something else.

I love techniques!! It's hard to choose, but a really simple one I like to pull out sometimes is Poppin' Pastels -- using my Shimmery Chalks. Gotta have the bling!
Beautiful card! I don't know if I have a stamping technique but I usually stamp and color with colored pencils and mineral spirits.
My favorite technique is with the prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.
