One Shabby, One CAS

Good morning everyone!!! It's finally Friday....yeaaaaa!!! For some reason, this has been a very long week....maybe that's because I have been looking forward to the weekend!! We are going to go see our son and his family...they are remodeling their kitchen and hopefully, we can give them a little help. We remodeled our kitchen a few years ago and believe me, it's not easy living with construction...the no cooking part wasn't too hard to take but the sheet rock dust was terrible!!!! Anyway....
I did a little stamping last night. Some happy mail from Redlead Paperworks came yesterday and I just had to ink up this beautiful bird stamp!! It was colored lightly with copics and a little stitching and distressing helped give it a shabby look. The background paper from My Minds Eye was sewn and distressed and the Spellbinders scalloped diecut, Webster's Pages Bloomer, Spellbinders leaf diecuts, lace, button, and twine finish it off.

I changed gears a bit on this one....CAS to the max!!! The cute little Stampin Up! Sweetheart Candy II (retired) hearts were stamped to create a heart banner (the line was hand drawn). The sentiment is from Verve's Hearts on Fire...pretty simple but perfect for mailing!!

Hope you have a great Friday....thanks for spending a little bit of it with me!!!!!

Hi Joan, both cards are fabulous examples of their styles, I really couldnt pick a favourite today as even though I love the shabby style I am growing to love Clean and Simple just as much (well, to look at anyway, I'm not so good at Clean & Simple myself but I'll keep trying). Hope you are having a good weekend with at your son's home, sounds like hard work. CoB

Joan!!! I LOVE your cards so much! The first one ...so vintage and beautiful (love the colors), the second one...so clean and simple, yet lovely! You are an amazing cardmaker that really will not have your style "pigeon holed" (you know what I mean)and now everyone that visits Moxie Fab World knows it too! I know I'm a little late to offer up the congrats, but I am happy and proud to "know" such a wonderful lady. :)
