TLC Challenge on Splitcoast

Hello everyone!!! It's my turn to host the Technique Lover's Challenge on Splitcoast and this week we are going to stamp with water!! This is so fun and easy....you are going to love it!!!!!
Recipe:
Paper: White, Really Rust, Chocolate chip, Basic Grey Recess dp
Ink: Barn Door, Dried marigold, Rusty Hinge, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Twine, Button, Gelly Roll Clear Pen, Sewing Machine, Perfect Pearls
I used Rubbernecker stamps and Ranger Distress inks. You will need a mister bottle for the water and if you want to add a little glam you can add Perfect Pearls to the mister bottle when you are finished and spritz over the completed image. I used a Gelly Roll Clear pen on some of the leaves for a little shimmer.
First you will sponge color on a piece of cardstock. I used Rusty Hinge, Dried Marigold, and Bard Door.

Make sure the background is covered completely.

Spritz you stamp with water and stamp the image over the sponged background.

Then dry with a heat tool......

How cool is that!!!!!!

Next, I covered the stamp with all three of the background colors and stamped over the dried background a little off from the original image so it would look like a shadow.

After the ink dried a background stamp was spritzed with water just around the edges so the inked leaf image wouldn't smudge.....the background was then dried again with the heat tool.

The background was spritzed with the Perfect Pearls and water mix and dried again.

The sentiment was stamped and the leaves were glammed up with the Gelly Roll pen.
Have fun with this technique...I can't wait to see what you make!!!
Oh, BTW...the church craft sale was a real success!!!! We made lots of money for our church mission group.....we will be able to donate to several needy organizations for the Christmas season!!!!
Thanks for stopping by....have a great day!!!!

I'm posting a comment in hopes that I can ask you a question about another card that you made...the Farkle card with the dice in it. At first I thought you used the Sweet Treat Cups from Stampin' Up! but those do not fit 6 dice in them. So I'm thinking that either you used smaller dice (if so, where did you buy them?) or you used a different type of cup (if so, where did you buy them?). I LOVE LOVE LOVE this project...it's so creative. And I LOVE to play Farkle. My e-mail address is tthurman@xmission.com. P.S. I looked everywhere on your blog but could not find your e-mail address. Did I overlook it?
