Teapot Tuesday and Color Challenge

Hello everyone!!! It's 1:15 AM and I'm still up...yikes!!!! I was watching some of the election results...what an interesting time we live in...ya never know what is going to happen but one thing is a constant....STAMPING!!!! It's wonderful to have a little sanity in all the chaos!!!!
Anyway...I did a little stamping today......I don't know about you but I got confused (which seems to be my natural state these days) with all the Rogers, Rauges, Troys, Treys, and Trans but I did get that the teapotters from Da Mudder's Teapot Tuesday gang were off to the Taj Ma Lodge to turn Hodge Podge into the next designer extrodinare!!! We were to bring something black and white to the teaparty today and make it grand!!!! I used the damask stamp from Stampin Up! Friends 24-7 and added black pearls and a big bad black bow!!! I added the black flower because I smudged the ink in that corner and I just had to add a dark pink rhinestone to the center just to be ornery...don't tell da Mudder!!!!! The destination for the cards today is the parents of Traci (Tracim) who are spending some time away from home and need a little cheering up.
Recipe:
Stamps: Friends 24-7
Paper: White, Black
Ink: Versafine Balck Onyx
Accessories: Pearl Flourish, Black Ribbon, Black Flower, Dark Pink Rhinestone

The Color Challenge on Splitcoast used some beautiful colors; Peach Parfait ~ a lighter shade of pumpkin pie, Cajun Craze ~ a dark rust shade, Early Espresso ~ a much darker chocolate chip, Neutrals of choice. However, I didn't have a single one of those new colors so I had to make this up as I went..LOL!! I also tried Holly's TLC challenge; Embedded Image. I LOVE this technique!!! Everything was going ok until I got to the part about embossing the silhouette image with a darker embossing powder...wouldn't ya know I didn't have anything darker but gold and silver so I used clear. The image just melted into the background like a shadow. Not to be out done by a little embossing, I just stamped the image again with Tangerine Chalk ink and Dusty Durango and left it alone...kinda like the icing on the cake. The stamps are from Gina K. Designs Botanicals set and a little sewing, distressing, lace, and ribbon finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Botanicals by Gina K. Designs
Paper: Dusty Durango, Vanilla, Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown, Me & My Big Ideas dp
Ink: Tangerine Chalk ink, Dusty Durango, Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Button, Twine, Wrinkled Seam Binding, Lace, Nestabilities, Sewing Machine, Clear ep

I'm off to bed now...I can hardly keep my eyes open!!! Have a great day !!!

Wow, guess you work best at 1:15 AM, not sure what I would end up with, probably blank CS. These are amazing, beautiful and elegant. I love both of them, not even one better than the other. I will have to try that embedded embossing. Gorgeous!!!!
