TLC489 - Color The Texture

Hello everyone!! I hope you had a great holiday weekend...did you do anything special for the 4th?? We stayed home and watched a movie....not too exciting but it was nice being home - just the two of us!! I guess we were recharging our batteries for next week when we will have more of our Grands come stay with us. We love having them here but I sure get tired of cooking...LOL!!! Anyway....it's my turn to host the Technique Lover's Challenge on Splitcoast and this week I have a fun one for you....we are going to *color the texture*!!! Here are the deets:

1. Dry emboss a piece of light colored cardstock with an embossing folder.
2. Color the textured area with markers, Copics, watercolors, Gelatos, pencils, or any other medium you choose.
3. Do not put your color on the folder and then emboss....that is a different technique.

My card was embossed with a flower Cuttlebug folder and colored with Spectrum Noir markers. The sentiment layers were cutout with the Label Stacklets 3 die from Taylored Expressions and the sentiments are from the TE Chalkboard Elements set. The butterflies were cut from Taylored Expressions orange felt with the TE In Flight Overlays dies. The pearls and ribbon finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by....have a great day and I hope you can join us for this week's TLC challenge!!!

Supply List:
Taylored Expressions Stamps: Chalkboard Elements
Paper: Choice Snow White (TE), Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss (SU)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Ribbon, Felt (TE), Pearls (KaiserKraft), Markers (Spectrum Noir)
Taylored Expressions Dies: Label Stacklets 3, In Flight Overlays
