Well, friends...this is day #14 of over 100 degree weather and no rain in the forecast...yikes!!! I have been staying in the house most of the time....we are still on voluntary water rationing so we can still water the grass 3 days a week and I can still take a shower...yeaaaa!!! We took the Grands to Build a Bear last Saturday and to a movie on Sunday....then I got sick with a GI bug...no fun!!! I finally felt like stamping a little last night....I have two more Christmas cards done...Whoohoo!!!
The first one features stamps from Taylored Expressions Sparkle and Cheer set. The deer image was stamped with Riding Hood Red and the snowflakes were stamped with Marina Mist. Blue gems decorate the antlers and star stick pins were added to the sentiment. The punched snowflake, button, and Baker's Twine finish it off.
Recipe: Stamps: TE's Sparkle and Cheer, Paper: White, Marina Mist, Black, SEI's WinterSong red checkered dp for the rick rack, and The Paper Studio dp for the background, Ink: Riding Hood Red, Marina Mist, Memento Tuxedo Black, Accessories: Star stick pins, Blue Gems, Button, Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch, Baker's Twine, Die-namics Rick Rack Die, Nestabilities, Sewing Machine
This Christmas Card was sooo easy to make and took about 15 minutes total which is very unusual for me!! I used different Die-namics to cutout the scallops and rick rack from The Girl's Paperie Tinsel and Twig dp, Echo Park's Christmas Carol dp, and Stampin Up! dp. The Crepe Paper Snowflake Flower by The Girls Paperie was attached to a round Real Red die cut. The sentiment from Snag'em stamps was stamped on the banner with Old Olive.
Recipe: Stamps: Snag'em Stamp's Gingerbread Man, Paper: Vanilla, Real Red, Stampin Up! dp, Echo Park 's Christmas Carol dp, The Girls Paperie's Tinsel and Twig dp, Ink: Old Olive, Accessories: Die-namics, Round Nestabilities, Crepe Paper Snowflake Flower by The Girls Paperie
These are for a few challenges:
1. Scrap-Creations - at least 2 dp's and 2 embellishments
2. Oldie but Goodie Challenge - use stamps that are at least 6 months old (both cards have stamps that are older that 6 months!!)

Fantastic Joan. Love both of them but I especially like the second one with the awesome dp. Sorry you've been sick.
I am with you on the hot and dusty, swimming isn't even refreshing when the pool is 95, feels like a bath when I am stepping in. Your cards are wonderful and making me think of those cooler temps. Love all the details on the second, can't believe it only took 15 minutes. Hope you are feeling better.
oh two stunning cards Joan!!
Gorgeous colors for the reindeer card. Great looking giant rickrack and star pins. Don't tell anyone the second card only took 5 minutes. The recipients will think it took hours, heehee. Looks like you fussy cut it all!!!
Beautiful cards, Joan! Your color combos make me so happy!!! Bright and cheerful, sor sure! Sure hope it cools off soon for you. We've had over 100 heat index this week, and it's just miserable to be outside. The AC's out in the car, ugh! Stay cool dear friend!!!
These cards are gorgeous Joan!!!
So glad you are feeling better. We are also in our 15th day of triple digits but we did have a huge rain storm last night. We are also expecting 107 temps again today tho. We were so fortunate, it rained for 8 hours. Beautiful cards for your Christmas stash. I love both but the first one is my favorite. I really love the deer card..so beautiful.
Oh I SO WISH you could send a few of those degrees up here to Seattle!! lol LOVE your cards, Joan.
Beautiful cards, Joan! I hope you're feeling better....you got work to do this weekend! LOL! Hugs!
Sorry you had the bug-no fun. Also sorry for the heat and rain situation there. We have been having some high temps but did get 1/2" of rain yesterday morning early. My yard was beginning to show brown spots.
Like the ric rac and scallop dies-neat cards!
GREAT JOB!!! You are the only one that has gotten me into the "Christmas Spirit". Wooo hooo. Love those two cards. Glad you are feeling better and stay away from those aweful GI bugs. No fun. Thank you for the inspiration. Your blog is fabulous. ekc
