Birthday Wish

Good morning everyone!! We had a wild night last night...two of our grandsons stayed with us and the 18 month old decided he didn't want to sleep...oh fun!!!! He is the happiest little boy...always grinning and sooo busy. Hopefully, he will take a nap sometime today so I can take one, too!!!!! Anyway...I had a little time yesterday to play before the boys came....I colored this sweet little image from Rubbernecker called Flower with Pot #565-07 with copics and added a little glitter to jazz it up a bit. The sentiment is also from Rubbernecker...I only used a part of it because I needed a single line sentiment for the Eat, Sleep, and Stamp sketch #140. The background designer paper is from Papertrey Ink and the seam binding, button, and twine finishes it off.
Recipe: Stamps: Rubbernecker Flower with Pot and sentiment
Paper: White, Prism Frosted Amethyst, Papertrey Ink dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Sewing Machine, Copics, Word Window Punch, Seam Binding, Button, Twine, Nestabilities Oval and Large Scallop Oval

This is for a few other challenges:
1. AiFactory - layers
2. Art Impressions Stamps Challenge- stitching
3. Charisma Cardz Challenge - use sunshine colors
4. Sothern Girls Challenge - Happy Birthday!
5. Flutterby Wednesday - must include a butterfly, fairy, or angel
6. The House that Stamps Built - glitter

This is the card I made yesterday for the Ways to Use It Challenge on Splitcoast...the challenge was to add metal to out project. I used silver pearls on the chandelier from the Moulin Rough set #576 by Rubbernecker Stamps. It was stamped on Pretty in Pink paper that was covered with tissue paper for the faux silk technique. Then I added Stickles around the edge of the oval and on the chandelier. The background was stamped with Rubbernecker's Victorian Damask background and the black silk bow finishes it off.
Recipe: Stamps: Rubbernecker Moulin Rouge set and the victorian Damask background
Paper: Pretty in Pink, White, Black, Tissue Paper
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Nestabilities, Stickles, Silver Pearls, Silk Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by...hope you have a great Friday!!!

Poor grandma, why can't children understand that grownups need sleep?

Love both of your cards Joan, love the cheerfulness the orange brings to the first card against the purple and the second card is so chic.

Well, for not getting any sleep, you came up with a beautiful b-day card. Love the sparkle and purple seam binding. Oh, maybe that was made before the lack of sleep. Love the black and white chandelier card. Did you enter it into the PlayDateCafe color challenge? B & W with a splash of color this week.

Hi Joan, I hope you managed to both take a nap today, your grandson sounds full of energy!

I love the bright colours you use when you colour with copics, you always get a lovely rich finish - the flowerpot has a gorgeous glow to it. Oh and I tried your faux silk technique recently but I need to have another go as it didn't look that good, way more wrinkly than yours so I think I must try again. It was less like silk and more like crumpled paper, he he. CoB
