Birds and Balloons

Good morning everyone....yeaaaaaa it's Thursday and almost the weekend!! I don't have much planned ....stamp a little, weed a little, maybe go to a movie, and bake a cake. I have a recipe for an Italian Cream Cake that I have wanted to make for a while now...doesn't it sound yummy (buttermilk, roasted pecans, coconut, cream cheese frosting...ooooh my!!)
Anyway....I did a little stamping last night using some beautiful paper called It's the Little Things by Fancy Pants. The birdcage and bird stamp from Waltzingmouse's Asian Garden set were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black into the dp...Stampin up!'s flower dies were used for the flower and a Sizzix die was used for the leaves. Sewing around the edges, twine, and a button finish it off.

Recipe: Stamps: Waltzingmouse's Asian Garden, Paper: Pure Luxury Kraft, Black, Sage Shadow, Fancy Pants dp

Ink: Versamark Onyx Black, Accessories: Twine, Sewing Machine, Button, Sizzix Leaf Die, Stampin Up! Flower Dies

I made this card with the same Fancy Pants papers and Verve's Up, Up, and Away set. I won this set a few weeks ago in a Mojo Monday challenge...Whoohoo!!! The balloons were all paper pieced with the Fancy Pants dp and popped up with foam dots. The sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and the button and twine are the finishing details.

Recipe: Stamps: Verve Up Up and Away, Paper: Vanilla, Pure Luxury Kraft, Fancy Pants It's the Little Things

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Accessories: Button, Twine

Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!!!!

Pretty cards Joan, love the multi-papers on the first. I love the balloons, I have that stamp and seeing your card, I'm going to blow the dust off it and use it.

Ooh these are lovely cards today, Joan. The paper on the birds card must have been begging to be used, it's really fab. Must have been great to use that. Oh but the balloon card! So so excellent! I'm really loving balloons at the moment, and I like the sky-coloured backing paper. Enjoy your weekend, it sounds fun - wish I could pop round for some of that cake though, hee hee. Look out for your postie, Joan, there is a little something winging it's way to Texas ;) CoB
