Staying Cool With Winter Cards!!

Good morning everyone!! We had such a great time this weekend...I shopped till I dropped...seriously!!! I found several Christmas gifts and decorations....must be why the first stamps I picked up when we got home were Christmas stamps...LOL!!! Besides, what better way to stay cool than to think snow, snowflakes, and snowmen!!
I used the adorable Tweet Winter Wishes set from Our Craft Lounge for my first card...I also used the sketch from the Friday DT sketch Challenge #29 (OCLDT29) over on the Our Craft Lounge Blog. BTW, I won their August Sketch Challenge and a free OCL stamp set.....Whoohoo!!!
The fence image was masked and then the clouds were sponged on. The image was colored with copics and glitter was added to the snow. The snowman was colored with copics, glittered up, cutout, and attached with dimensionals. Snowflakes from the same set were stamped on the background dp and the silk ribbon finished it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: OCL Tweet Winter Wishes
Paper: White, Riding Hood Red, Basic Grey Dasher dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Bashful Blue, Vivid Aqua
Accessories: Glitter, Silk Ribbon, Copics, Nestabilities, Dimensionals

Isn't this snowman cute...it's a new stamp I bought from Impressions Rubberstamps. He was stamped with Palette Noir Black, colored with copics, and Stickles was added to the hat rim. Stickles was also added to the wood flourish, sewing was done around the background edge, and a sparkly snowflake and ribbon finish it off. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Vintage Ornaments set.
Resipe: Stamps: Impress Rubberstamps, PTI Vintage Ornaments
Paper: White, Black, Riding Hood red, October Afternoon's Good Cheer dp. SEI Christmas dp
Ink: Palette Noir Black
Accessories: Copics, Stickles, KaiserCraft Wood Flourish, Spiral Punch, Ribbon, sSparkly Snowfloake, Sewing Machine, SU Punch

This is also for a few challenges:
1. Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge - Layers
2. Pile it On - Layers
3. Stamp Something Challenge - Something cute
4. Paper Play Challenges - stitches
5. Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle Saturday's Challenge - Christmas
6. Bah Humbug Christmas - Christmas Carol (Frosty the Snowman)
7. Oh Alice - Sparkle and shine (Stickles on hat and holly)

Thanks for visiting....hope you find time for a little stamping today!!!

Wonderful cards Joan, Love the way you sponged your clouds. They look AMAZING as do your coloring & that super cute snowman is just ADORABLE. Also really like how you did the fence. Great work my friend.
How do you find so many challenges to use for your cards? Do you make the card 1st or do you find the challenges & fit the card to work with them? I NEED to figure this out so I can start entering a few challenges.
Hugs, Janie
